With the recent update to my phone, the lock screen is frustrating me. Without changing anything, there is now a temperature and weather read out for the current day on my lock screen in Celsius. Given I live in a very warm climate and use Fahrenheit, I don't want a constant reminder of the temp outside and it's not even useful. I've been trying for days with all the forum answers I could find and even removing my launcher, how do I get rid of this?
I just got the one plus 12 and overall like it but I noticed when I view photos in my Google photos, they look oddly foggy and hazy, like a thing film is applied over them. I noticed when I got to crop the photo it says the Ultra HDR preview is off and when that happens the colors look normal. But once I exit and save the photo the haze returns. All the research I've done says you have to turn the Ultra HDR setting off in the camera app, but the only setting I can find is called HDR Auto and this still happens when that is off. Does anyone know how to disable the Ultra HDR or any other suggestions on this issue??
Can someone please recommend me a oneplus12 case? I want it to be protective but not ugly.. I've been looking and couldn't find anything
I have a OnePlus 12 that is roughly a month old, and last night into today, I have had issues with an area of the screen malfunctioning. It's a "bar" across the top of the screen, just below the status bar, where the back arrow is on google apps. When I touch in the affected area, nothing happens, but other times it will activate when I haven't touched it, opening an app for a widget I have on the home screen, or opening the dialer and calling from the google messages app. One other symptom is I can't swipe down to see notifications if the swipe starts too close to the top of the screen. I'm not sure where to go from here, should I send it to OnePlus for warranty repair, or is that even an option? I have a case on the phone, and there is no obvious screen damage.
Title. Worked for 1 day.
Did reset network settings, rolled back to latest stable full update,
I removed the scratch protector that came on the screen because it was getting worn and also because after a while it attracted "dust" all the time.
As far as I can read, the glass on 12R is softer and not as prone to shattering but is easier to scratch than previous gorilla glass.
That's a nice idea but it means that a screen protector/scratch protector is essential.
What can you recommend? I recently put Spigen glass on my daughters phone, it seems better than plastic protectors like panzerglass. And probably does not attract dust as much.
Recommendations?
Ordered the 12R and should be getting it in a few days, eilltit come with oxygenos15 ootb or will need to update seperately? Region:IN
I just noticed this:
Winkey W
.Good news!
We've fixed the livephoto support bug for 128 variant and started rolling out the update again.

I have to press the power button to wake the phone each time the phone shuts off display. I have the MTS enabled in developer settings. I have also enabled face recognition and always be on when I am staring at it setting. Its super annoying. Any solutions?
Hello guys! Whenever I try to do anything that requires it, for example unlocking my phone, the phone doesn't vibrate, the fingerprint sensor window doesn't appear and nothing happens in the app.
If I try to remove the fingerprint, after "deleting" it, nothing happens and it stays there.
If I try adding another fingerprint, it goes back to the previous settings page as I click the add button.
I don't think it's physically broken, so what could I do?
Please help!
Hey guys,
I've been trying for days to update my OP10 Pro to Android 14, but I keep failing every time. 😢
The official method isn't working—I keep getting the "Extraction failed" message.
I also tried using Oxygen Updater for a local installation, but I get the same "Extraction failed" message there as well.
I’ve tried both the incremental and stable versions, but nothing seems to work.
I’m completely stuck. My phone is brand new, but the battery drains so quickly—it goes from 100% to 20% in just 2-3 hours. I thought the new OS would be more optimized, but I can’t even install it! 😞
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
I was using my phone Saturday night when suddenly it hanged and screen shut off. Phone is 2 and half years old. No green line. Gave to service centre they said motherboard problem. Motherboard replacement cost is ₹18000. Phone exchange value was last ₹12000. I was going to buy oneplus 12 by exchanging this phone at the end of this month. I still have a oneplus 7 which is 5+ years old working perfectly fine which a family member is using. I wanted to know if anybody else had this problem and whether the motherboard can be repaired instead of replacing from a third party repair shop?
My Nord 3 has problems connecting to a 5GHz Wi-Fi network, it takes up to 30 seconds to see it, while it sees a 2.5GHz network immediately. The same goes for connecting to a mobile network, it takes about 20-30 seconds. I tested all this on a mobile phone with a Qualcomm chip and these problems do not occur there. Does anyone else have such problems on the Nord 3 model?
Going from the 6T to the Nord 4 there's a lot of improvements, but the clock app is BAD. I really liked the UI of having a large analog clock when you tap twice to set the alarm, super quick and accurate. Now I have to scroll to set it which sucks and takes longer, as well as no longer showing my alarms that I've set in the status bar.
Is it just better to install a different clock app? I usually never install new apps for default things like clock, calculator etc. but it's really starting to piss me off and I have no idea why it's so annoying to set the time.
My last update was October 5th.
I recently bought a refurbished 12R for 448 post tax which I'm awaiting in the mail, however browsing one plus website they offer the 256 GB for 527 after tax with a free case.
This is a 70 dollar difference however I saw they would offer me 20 bucks plus 50 dollar bonus for my old Nord N10 5G making it 457 (same as buying my own case)
So I would get a new 12R with the fast 80w charger and an official case for the same price
I was wondering if I would still be entitled to the 50 dollar bonus even if the price for my N10 was reduced and if the money would go back to my credit card or if it was a coupon for next purchase. Thanks!
I am in US with a new to me 12r, had it a couple of weeks... Oxy 14 seems good to me (coming from pixel 8a). Pros/cons to updating now? Or waiting a few months? Battery life is my main concern, the phone is functioning perfectly fine as it is. What am I missing out on?
So recently I kinda killed the microphone on my OnePlus 8T. When cleaning it out with a needle, II felt I accidently punctured it and ever since, when using the bottom microphone, it sounds like I'm underwater.
Batterylife was also extremely poor so I bought a new Battery and microphone (Sim reader combo) module and learned to replace it myself, with success... Ish.. Battery is great again but I discovered the actual microphone is part of the middle frame of the phone and thus bought and replaced the module for nothing.
Question: does anybody know if I can buy the mini microphone and if so, where? Or do I need to buy and entire middle frame (which seems too expensive and too much of a hassle). Can't find the microphone anywhere on sites like AliExpress or whatsoever.
Any other tips would also be welcome. I can't find anywhere how to switch top and bottom microphone (some apps use bottom exclusively like whatsapp or just phonecalling).
Hey everybody. One plus 11 5G. Starting yesterday I have had pretty substantial battery drain to the point where it'll be down to 87% after about 2 hours. I thought about turning off haptics. Is it because of the update? I've noticed that since the update I've had to go in the battery settings & recalibrate the battery usage of my apps. I've never had to do that before with a one plus 11. I had to do that on a Samsung back in the day but not one plus 11.
Hey fellow Android enthusiasts,
I'm hoping to breathe new life into my OnePlus 6T (bought in June 2019) after an unsatisfactory experience with a Vivo V30e. I've got two main challenges I'm hoping the community can help me solve:
Battery Drain Issue: My OnePlus 6T's battery is pretty weak right now. On continuous video streaming, it barely lasts 4 hours while running OxygenOS 11.1.2.2. I'd love to replace the battery, but official replacements are unavailable, and I'm hesitant about using generic third-party batteries.
Custom ROM Installation Nightmare: I'm eager to install a custom ROM like Evolution X or LineageOS to improve performance. However, I'm hitting a frustrating roadblock:
I'm at my wit's end. Has anyone successfully navigated these installation challenges on a OnePlus 6T? Any guidance on safely flashing a custom ROM would be incredibly appreciated! 🙏
Appreciate any help the community can offer!
There doesn't seem to be a setting to disable the timer under both system> status bar and the clock app
I haven't gotten the android 15 update any reason on why I'm not getting it? I just bought the 12 brand new at Best buy last Friday but I got nothing, what should I do?
So my dear OP 7 Pro died on me almost a month ago, after using it for 5 years and a month. It's battery was failing and I had actually changed the battery a few weeks before it died. Woke up on day to see the dreaded Qualcomm CrashDump message. Worst part is I had hardly backed up any of my data, and this is the year I finished college! (luckily was able to barely switch it on and get most of the data off it).
A phone like this will probably not exist in the near future, it's one of a kind. The beautiful edge-to-edge display is unparalleled and it's entire design is simple and elegant. It really held it's own for 5 straight years and consistently outperforms most phones even today. Even when it died, it worked 90% as it did when I first bought it. I honestly expected the pop up camera to be the thing that failed, but it is built like a tank!
This phone was a gift from my father, for passing my first year in medical school. It was with me throughout my entire college life. I feel really cheesy and stupid being attached to something as ephemeral as a digital mobile device, but it really did mean a lot to me. I grudgingly got a Pixel 9, but I don't think I'll be attached to a phone as much as I was to this device. OP had struck gold with this and never did reach this high again. RIP.
hey guys,
I heard that samsung screen are notorious for getting greenlines, so I want to know if the nord 4 uses a samsung or a BOE screen.
please let me know if you have an answer.
