If you use an affiliate link, the comment must be "substantial". It shouldn't be a one liner; explain why the device is good and why OP should purchase that device. Lazy affiliate drops are likely to be removed. For the unaware, purchasing from an affiliate link gives a small amount of money to the person giving the link; this comes at no extra cost to you, but the linker profits from it. Affiliate links are allowed, but you'd better put effort into your comment if you're going to use them.

Do not post about devices you're selling.. If you want to sell a device, /r/hardwareswap is a more acceptable venue (US-centric, there exist subs for specific countries too). Alternatively, make a listing on Swappa. Links to Swappa ARE allowed as comments to posts. Be transparent if the device you're linking is owned by you, should you link Swappa to an OP.
Don't troll. Intentionally feeding bad advice, being deliberately obtuse, or just basic trolling are all frowned upon and will be punished. Report trolls and/or bring them to our attention in modmail if you notice any.
Do not post links to a device as the main body of a post. Alerting OP to a deal in the comments of their post is fine, but don't submit a deal as the body of a new post. Posting that a new device is now officially available, however, is fine.

I currently have a Samsung S23+ and if I'm honest it doesn't gel with me at all, not a big fan of OneUI whatsoever.
For context I previously had a Huawei Mate 40 Pro and the 20 Pro before that, comfortably my favourite phones & OS I've used. Honor seems to be very similar and in some aspects better than I remember EMUI.
Is the Snapdragon 8 Gen Elite a massive step up from 8 Gen 3? I've saw reports of better benchmarking that Apple but unsure of the validity of that.
Thanks for any help.

Which is the better option?
Hi, as the title says I'm in the marketing for a no frills smart phone. I don't really care about gimmick features, AI, or even a camera all that much (just needs to be acceptable quality). I'm upgrading from a Pixel 3a only because I cracked the screen earlier this year and it's starting to act up.
I just want a smart phone where I can text, call, browse the web and some apps, and listen to music. I don't game.
Don't care about OS just want it to feel good to use with ability to customize my experience, though I've enjoyed Pixel's android. Just want great battery life and charging, a good screen, and a good price.
Will go over or under a little bit of the price range mentioned.
Hey everyone, I need some help deciding between a few phones that are currently on sale.
My main priorities are fast charging, good battery life, and great cameras. I also want a phone that can last me at least 5 years.
Thanks for any help
As the title says, I'm looking at new phones to replace my current one. I love my Edge, and I've never had issues with Motorola (minus updates). I'm in the US. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Hi I'm looking to upgrade my phone during the black friday sale here in Norway.
I don't have huge demands
- Good battery. Even though my onscreen time per day isn't the biggest, i run some background apps that can be battery hungry.
- Good screen. I find the screen on my a52s very nice but the peak brightness is severely lacking as I can't read on the phone outside during nice weather (aka summer sun).
- Decent IP rating. I live in a country with quite a bit of snow in the winter and rain throughout the year and I want to be able to use the phone outside during without either of those bricking my phone.
- Faster charging is a plus as I'm quite absent minded and often realize my battery is almost drained and I have to postpone plans to charge phone. Though faster charging is a plus its not a necessity.
- Snappy. Though I don't play games on the phone I want it to feel good when using multiple normal apps (reddit, browsing, snapchat, assorted apps). If i ever game it would be escape games and similar that don't require much computation like 3d games do.
- Size wise i quite like the a52s but i don't mind something slightly bigger. But I don't want something hugely larger as I can handle a52s with one hand.
- Good glass is a plus as well. I will be using a case on it, a wallet case but I do tend to drop my phone indoors every now and then with the wallet open so glass exposed. Its never been a problem on any of the phones ive had but im unsure if case protectors work well on curved glass displays.
- Good connectivity (especially bluetooth) as just yesterday I was stuck for 5 minutes outside a building being layered with snow because I had to restart an app 4 times before it managed to connect to the doors bluetooth (for some reason it never struggles with the earbud connection though).
- Last around 3 years I recon.
My use case is pretty much: Listen to music on spotify while browsing/reading social media apps/being on dating apps for the 2-3hours a day Im at the gym or travelling to the gym or when on the sofa. Occasional dictation/note taking, reading pdfs etc.
I dont really care about camera or audiojack. Im perfectly content with the a52s camera.
Here are some of the phones I've found that seems pretty prize/performance friendly (prices converted to USD for you guys):
Pixel 8a (128gb) - $359
OnePlus Nord 4 (12/256gb) - $359
Honor 200 (256gb) - $263
Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro (5g 256gb) - $224
Motorola Edge 50 Fusion (256gb) - $350
Nothing 2a (128gb) - $380
Now there are obviously other phones available I could get if necessary but I'm unsure if the increase in price is worth it for my use case.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro+ (5g 256gb) - $404
Poco f6 (256gb) - $423
Xiaomi 14t (256gb) - $539
Pixel 8 (128gb) - $449
Pixel 8 pro (128gb) - $539
OnePlus 12r (16/256gb) - $617
Thanks!
Both options are 256GB. I am looking at going smaller from my Oneplus 8T. It looks like I will have to give up fast charging anyway and possibly great battery life.
I know that the 9 series have better battery life. Possibly more efficient modem and cooling although only the pro models have vapor chamber so not sure if I will see improvements from 8 to 9 in terms of heating.
I am considering Pixels for the cameras as I mostly shoot landscapes where balanced colors and sharpness seem appealing to me so I can leave my mirrorless at home more often.
I'm looking for a good android phone that's $200 or under with a good screen and is powerful enough for some gamecube and ps2 emulation. Any suggestions?
Hi everyone!
I recently made a post asking for suggestions on which phone to buy with the following features:
The most recommended option was the OnePlus 12. I checked the official website, and it seems they are already offering Black Friday discounts. Currently, the 512 GB version is priced at €800.
Now, I have a couple of questions for you:
Thanks in advance for your advice! 😊
I am looking for a phone (in the UK) with minimum:
Budget is around 340usd (20k PHP)
Based on what i read the most suggested was Pixel 7a, HonorX9, realme 12 and oppo Reno11 F.
Edit: country is Philippines.
Back in 2016, I took the plunge and got myself a Samsung Galaxy S7. It was my first serious smartphone, and I absolutely adored it. For a solid four years, it was my trusty sidekick until an unfortunate accident claimed its life. Fast forward to 2020, funds were tight, so I opted for the wallet-friendly Xiaomi 9T. Despite a soaking incident two years in, I was so taken with it that I immediately replaced it with a Xiaomi 11T. Now, here I am, at a crossroads, unable to decide on my next phone purchase. I'm reaching out for suggestions.
For me, the absolute must-haves are an exceptional camera and swift charging features, complemented by a user interface that is seamless.
Reflecting on my Samsung days, I found their UI a bit too childish for my taste, which turned me off. In contrast, Xiaomi's HyperOS has won me over, not to mention their cameras which seem to capture photos just the way I like them. With the Xiaomi 15 boasting 90W wired fast charging, it's tempting to declare it the frontrunner. Yet, I'm curious about the current sentiment towards Samsung and Google Pixel phones. What's the word on the internet? What do you guys think?
My absolute requirements for a phone are a good camera, performance to at least run somewhat intensive games (nothing close of genshin impact level), 60hz+ preferably LTPO at least 1000 nits peak brightness screen and a battery to last me the whole day (would really like the phone to look nice)
With that in mind I have selected the samsung A55 (315e), the pixel 7 pro (refurb)(330e) and the base s22 (300e), however while I want the pixel 7 pro Im scared of the connectivity issues and other problems that could arise, the samsung s22 is older and the a55 feels too good to be true (also is a budget phone and my last experience wasnt that great)
Xiaomi honor Oppo or oneplus I’m also from UK
I just checked the black friday sales near me in Belgium, and I can get the s23 for 499, pixel 8 for 449, or the pixel 8a for 399. What is the best deal considering I just care about battery life and don't take pictures?
want something in the 5-6 inch range in terms of screen. headphone jack is a must considering how much i use my old koss porta pros. also i like bad cameras, super high quality modern phone cameras are inscrutibly boring to me
Hi, the Xiaomi Poco X3 I have been using for the past 4 years is getting slow and has not been receiving updates for quite some time now. I'm looking for a replacement under 400€, with my main concerns being battery life and longevity (both hardware and software). Non-Chinese brands are also required. Buying from Belgium.
Right now I have my eyes on the following:
Please let me know what device you think is best or if you have other recommendations! Thanks in advance!
I'm changing a galaxy a52s. I have to choose a phone to get on Black Friday. I'm undecided at the same price of 300 euros which is more convenient (at the current price):
Motorola 50 Fusion, It's my first choice because I love android stock and the things it offers at that price.
PocoX6 Pro 512gb, Many people recommended it to me because it has excellent performances that interest me, but I'm skeptical about the UI.
Poco F6 256gb, same thing as x6 pro but with less memory and better processor.
Honor 200, I don't know much about him, I would like someone to tell me if he has a good long lasting system.
I also found interesting Realme Gt 6t and Pixel 8a if I find them at a good price.
I need a phone with good battery, reception and performance and that is still a good phone after 3-4 years. Tell me your opinion.
I've looked and looked for a solution to this problem, and if there is no solution, I would like a recommendation for a phone that doesn't do this, and has a really solid camera
It's the camera software I cannot stand. Every time I take a photo, the software decides it's going to auto-edit the image in a couple of ways. 1. It adjusts the lens distortion (doesn't do a good job) and gives it an ugly "opposite-of-soft-glow" edit, like it wants to highlight every imperfection on your face, almost like an HDR, but this happens whether I have the HDR option on or not. 2. Sometimes I'll get a preview of a nice photo (like a dog with its tongue out looking super happy) for a few seconds, and for some reason, the image completely changes to the dog looking away or whatever... As if the camera held onto multiple frames and then picked the worst one. It does this almost every. fucking. time. And it doesn't let me change it back! I'm so over it!!!
I have yet to come across any working solution to this problem on the Internet. Thank you for your time!
which is more convenient at a 20 euro difference? (italy)
Needed a phone for myself. I am not interested in high end phones, since my phone usage is limited.
Here are few of my requirements :
Apart from these three, I dont really care about other stuffs such as display, sound etc.
There are couple of phones that came to my mind :
Beast battery. Probably one of the finest in android market.
Camera : Good camera.
Processor : This is bit of an issue, is what people criticize. But as I have used one of the M series phone [this is my current phone as well], it wasn't of great issue.
But If I go and purchase this phone, it will be like purchasing the same phone again and again. Need to think.
Good battery and excellent charging
Camera : Good
Processor : Excellent [But do I really need it ?]
Battery : Good. But for this price range, charging could have been better. It is just 25W charging.
Camera : One of the best in the segment.
Processor : Samsung processor. But specifications are above average.
What shall I choose ? Please help me choose the suitable mobile.
Hi I am looking to buy a new phone for my dad, have not kept up with new phone releases for a while.
Appreciate your recommendations.
Also what is your thought about extended warranty/damage insurance are they worth it. There is a high chance the phone might get wet, because of dad's line of work.
I have been using Samsung A51 for the past 3 years and am thinking of upgrading it as it is slowly degrading. I am based in pakistan 🇵🇰 and am looking for any mid-range recommendations, samsung or any other brand. Any help would be appreciated.
I currently have a 6 pro and overall I really like the phone. My only 2 issues currently are my battery doesn't last at all. I can't go even close to a full day without charging it. Another issue I have is the screen isn't bright enough outside. I have to cover my screen to see it if it's sunny out. And one smaller issue (I say smaller because I'm not sure it's the phones fault it might just be where I live) but I find the cellphone signal bad. I call people and I can hear them fine but they don't hear me at all. Not sure if it's the phone or not.
I'm looking at some black Friday sales and I'm thinking of the following phones.
Pixel 9 , just the regular 9. I can get it for 849$ Canadian , not willing to pay 1300 for the pro.
Pixel 8 I can get for 649.
One plus 12. 512GB version for 899
Wondering for those who have the newer pixels are they much better then the 6 pro ? I just really want a good battery and a bright screen.
Thanks for the help
Which one of those is better, and in which aspects? best camera? best overall and so on, and which one do you recommend?
Add to that Oppo Reno12, Honor X9b & S23 FE
Well guys, currently I have the Nord 3, which is good for my needs. However, I wanted to get something powerful and worthwhile the money spent. So.. I'm still wondering which one to pick. A new 1+13 or the 1+12.
I can buy a used Pixel 4a for 80$ but the accubattery app says it only has 1.900 mAh real battery, so it has degraded about a third from 3.000mAh. Is it worth it?
I’ve been using the OnePlus 3T almost since it first came out, and it’s finally reached its last leg. Don't ask me how i survived this long with it, I'm surprised myself. My budget is 40K INR, but I can stretch it a bit if it's really worth it. I really liked my phones camera and I still prefer it over many of my friends' phone cameras (definitely not better than iphone though lol). I guess old oneplus was just really that good. i have been eyeing the Pixel 7a, Pixel 8 both dont have the best battery but awesome software and camera quality but not good customer support in india. Samsung s23 but i heard the battery is not that great and iPhone 13 but i'm not sold on IOS.
I’m looking for a phone that has:
I'm coming from a Huawei p30 pro and I absolutely love this phone. But as it's being left behind because of updates and degraded battery life. I want to sadly let go of it soon. What would you guys reconmend I upgrade to. My budget is £300
Country: Netherlands The Nothing is about 280 euros, 30 euros more expensive than the redmi right now, but it doesn't come with all the accessories. I don't care much about very long battery and fast charging. I want a decent camera (selfies dont matter to me), decent performance for occasional light gaming, and good longevity since im planning on using it for a few years. So which one should i pick? Unless someone has better suggestions for the same pricerange?
