If you use an affiliate link, the comment must be "substantial". It shouldn't be a one liner; explain why the device is good and why OP should purchase that device. Lazy affiliate drops are likely to be removed. For the unaware, purchasing from an affiliate link gives a small amount of money to the person giving the link; this comes at no extra cost to you, but the linker profits from it. Do not post about devices you're selling.. If you want to sell a device, /r/hardwareswap is a more acceptable venue (US-centric, there exist subs for specific countries too). Alternatively, make a listing on Swappa. Links to Swappa ARE allowed as comments to posts. Be transparent if the device you're linking is owned by you, should you link Swappa to an OP.
Don't troll. Intentionally feeding bad advice, being deliberately obtuse, or just basic trolling are all frowned upon and will be punished. Report trolls and/or bring them to our attention in modmail if you notice any.
Do not post links to a device as the main body of a post. Alerting OP to a deal in the comments of their post is fine, but don't submit a deal as the body of a new post. Posting that a new device is now officially available, however, is fine.

I need a new phone under $300. Preferably a samsung. Any ideas?
My 3-years old phone is behaving, so I am looking for a new phone to last me another 3 years. Around the 200-500 GBP range, in the UK
Important factors:
Good to have (in decreasing order of importance):
Not important at all:
So far I considered and cons (some unsubstantiated) I identified:
Any help deciding ? Any idea about whether the prices are a good deal? Any further alternative?

Hey All!
I currently have a OnePlus Nord N30 5G and it's ok. I've had it for about a year, scuffed up the screen, and the camera isn't really what I want. I'm trying to justify buying the Pixel 8a. I don't use my phone for gaming outside of stuff like Pokemon Go. It's mostly for videos, photos, and just interwebs surfing.
So as title suggests I'm coming from a Oneplus 10 Pro and more and more green lines are appearing on screen. So need a plan for a new phone soon. Below are non-negotiables:
Good to haves:
Main Use Cases are: Youtube, Netflix, and doom scrolling on Reddit. Also some very light gaming
There is a good deal which expires in 14 hours, all phones are the same price. I want to get one for my mother since she has an iPhone 8 currently... Thanks
Motorola moto G55
Oneplus Nord CE 4 Lite 5G
Galaxy A35 5G
Galaxy A16
Galaxy A05s
I’m a long time iOS user who hasn’t used Android since its beginnings but I’m becoming very bored of iPhones.
I want to explore an Android phone again but I’m torn on several options.
Budget is $800 without tax or less. I do not like the size or shape of the S24 Ultra, Pixel 9XL is interesting but more than I want to spend considering I’m not even sure I commit to the switch.
Battery life is probably most important to me, I would no longer consider myself a power user and I don’t game on mobile but I’m heavy on web browsing, social media, and YouTube.
I’m unsure on how I feel about Samsung bloat and I do like the clean look of Pixel UI but unsure beyond initial looks. I’ve played with both phones in stores but it’s hard to get a true idea.
I briefly considered the OnePlus 12 but without being able to see it in person at all, makes me unsure
I’m open to brands like Honor, Xiaomi, etc but know little about them.
Trying to figure out a move today because last day of holiday sales in the US. Thanks all.
looking for a phone under 1000PLN ~ 240USD. Planning to emulate a couple of ps2 games (eg. gran turismo 4) and psp (eg. underground rivals).
I had (have?) a Zenfone 10. I felt lucky, it was the last one in stock on Amazon with maxed specs and the only one that I could find for the American model. However, it was that scary 'R' word, refurbished. I noticed that the microphone quality was very staticy and I sent the phone in to be repaired twice and they said they fixed it, but when I checked, they did not. Sent it in the third time and they said they're going to exchange it, but it's been, like, two weeks since they said that. They don't have any Zenfone 10s for sale on there website, so I wonder if they any in their warehouse at all.
It seems possible that I'm going to have to pick another phone. I like compact, so I don't think I'm going to get the Zenfone 11 Ultra. I eyed getting a flip phone. I bought (since I need a phone to fill in my wait for my Zenfone 19 return) a Motorola RAZR Plus 2024 and, unfortunately, I had to return it because the performance was obviously inferior to my Zenfone 10. I noticed it. I didn't know in advance that the 8s Gen 3 was inferior to the 8 Gen 2, but my experience confirmed it and I don't even game.
I returned the Motorola RAZR Plus and got a Z Flip 6. The performance is great, but I'm not happy with this phone. It's not comfortable to hold, the phone gets hot and the overheating affects the performance. If the phone is hot and I'm video chatting with someone, I cannot use another app. The Z Flip 6 has got to go.
So, I thought briefly about the S24, but it doesn't seem wise with the s25's release date being next month. Plus, I think I'm kind of done with Samsung. I briefly had a Z Flip 4 and that thing was incredibly glitchy. I had to return it. My Samsung Galaxy S10e functioned far better in terms of software than the Z Flip 4, that thing was unusable.
It's better today, but, I recently had an experience where my Z Flip 6's alarm wouldn't go off, because it erroneously thought I was on a phone call. (Phone calls aren't a legitimate reason to disable alarms, anyway). Apparently, this is some glitch with Samsung's software and Facebook Messenger? I don't want to be in a situation where I call someone on Messenger and then my alarm doesn't wake me up because of that glitch that's been on Samsung phones for years and still hasn't been resolved.
So, I'm eyeing the Pixel 9. (Still need to do research into the 9 vs the 9 Pro to see if the benefits justify the cost) Because, in 2024, what options are there for a flagship, compact Android if you're American other than the S24 and the Pixel 9/Pro? My concern with the Pixel 9 is the processor. If I thought the 8s Gen 3 makes a phone not worth having, what does that mean I'll feel about the processor the Pixel 9 has?
I will mostly use it for gaming so I don't really care much about camera.
Hi guys! I'm the owner of a xiaomi 10 but it's getting worse day after day and I'm thinking of replacing it. I was looking for some all rounder phone on the range of 400-500€ max, on extreme cases 600€. Main purpose is gaming and social networking. If possible a decent recorder and some cameras in order to make some good photos to my GF. Any help? Thanks <3
Help me choose my next android phone? I want good camera, battery and quality phone calling.
I don't want any Chinese brands.
Country is India.
I have had my Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra for years and love it. However, mine, which was in perfect condition, was stolen. I got a refurbished S21 Ultra about a year ago to replace it, but now the selfie camera is rendering the entire camera app essentially inoperable, and it's erased my trust in refurbished phones in the process.
I LOVE my S21 Ultra and wish I could have kept my original one forever (at least, forever in phone years. . .), but that's clearly not an option. Now, I'm looking at new phones, and my wish list is:
Like I said - due to this experience, my trust in refurbished phones is essentially nonexistent now. Even if you don't have any phone suggestions, maybe you could state your case as to whether I should give them another chance or not. I also thought that buying a slightly older model phone would be more cost-effective, but it seems like they're either:
I feel like I accidentally spoiled myself with the S21 Ultra (it was a graduation gift), and now I'm almost certainly going to need to downgrade with a reasonable budget in mind. . .Any advice (and/or justification for spending +$1,000 on a phone?!) welcome!
Both are Snapdragon variants, I heard that the base galaxy S22 isn’t the best when it comes to heat management and the battery life, so I removed it out of the equation.
My budget is right around 400USD, coming from an iPhone Xs, couldn’t bear iOS any longer.
I currently have a Motorola One 5g Ace (2021 that has some damage due to an unexpected loss to a stone floor. I liked the battery life from the old Motorola Power series, but I don't want to compromise on GPU. Any suggestions? I don't want to downgrade, but I also don't want to spend much more than $300 for an unlocked device (otherwise I'll just get the screen repaired. The screen is usable, so I can stand to wait for a replacement.
I have a total love affair with my Galaxy s9. I think Samsung literally made the perfect phone in 2018, and everything else has been a mistake. I really don't want to buy a new phone, but feel like with upcoming tariffs in the US now is probably the best time?
I have played with s24 and thought it was pretty nice. I do miss the led indicator, but honestly bigger issue felt like when I would swipe down from the top of the phone (settings/notifications) I kept hitting the bottom camera since it's on the right hand side of the phone worried I'd hit it all the time and smudge the camera?
Wish list
- smaller 6 x 3 ish
- LED notification light (great for battery life, not having to wake screen)
- back fingerprint scanner (not having good luck with this)
- great battery life
- good speed/processor.
- decent camera but something i wont smug too often
What are the best actual smartphone options under 250€ that can be bought - best deal; Price vs performance vs camera?
I'm searching for a new phone. Already searched and got some ideas, but want to know other options and ideas.
Edit: I'm located in Portugal, so it's to be bought in any European Union stores.
Hi, as in title I wonder If you could maybe give me better suggestions at that moment there are few phones I'm considering. I was a long-term Android user, but about 3 years ago i've decided to buy an iPhone and well i'm not a big fan of iOS so I guess it's time to go back to Android.
Xiaomi 13T Pro - didn't really heard anything about this phone so If you could tell me more I would be thankful.
OnePlus 12r - as above.
Motorola Thinkphone- not good cameras, kinda old cpu, but i'm not gaming or do heavy workloads on phone so i don't care about that much.
Samsung S23 8/256 on sale??
Pixel 8/8a- good cameras, and display but heard really bad reviews on CPU (it's made by Samsung sadly) overheating issues, connection problems and battery life, not a big fan but love the 7 years of support though.
Thanks in advance, excuse me for my bad english/grammar.
Picked one up at straight talk for 199.
Hi!
I've been doubting all night wich phone to buy next since black Friday is ending. My current phone is a OnePlus nord AC2003, I now want a higher quality phone and I'm willing to fork out a bit more money than I did for the Nord. I've narrowed it down to these 2 phones.
My main point is that I want an excellent camera (front and back) and sound recording quality since I go to a lot of music festivals and my recordings with my current phone are terrible. Good battery life and storage are also important. I'm not planning on using it for gaming.
I've been a fan of OP in general, but price quality it seems the Xiaomi seems better at everything. But I've heard some things about bloatware, foggy cameras, and I just have no experience with the brand wich kind of throws me of a bit.
I'm terrible at making decisions, so let's hear it! What should I buy? Or what do you recommend?
I'm located in Belgium if that matters.
I'm switching from an iPhone 13 pro and can get any phone under a grand with my T-Mobile deal.
I want a phone with great cameras and manual control for focus (an incredibly basic feature that even the newest iPhone with it's extra button dedicated to its camera doesn't offer) I'd prefer a 120hz display. I used LG phones for years until production ended and I just can't replicate the LG android skin on any other device. Currently I have a pixel 9 pro xl but will be exchanging it for something different as I dislike the uncomfortable size. So a normal size phone is great for me cause I like doing things one handed. I frankly do not care about ai at all so that's not important to me. I'm definitely open to using custom launchers. I haven't messed around with many yet because I don't want to pay for a custom launcher if I just end up getting the iphone 16 after.
My budget is around £500 and ive been looking on amazon and you can get a s24 for 450 but im not sure on the battery life can someone give me a better option?
Last few weeks I have done a lot of research on a new phone. My current, the A52s, has some issues and I don't like the camera AT ALL. Which is a big deal for me as I don't always have my regular camera withe me but still want te be able to shot some pictures. I was used to the Huawei P20 pro which was so much beter.
The thing is, I don't have the budget to spend more then 500€ish. Which leaves me with a limited choice. The pixel 8 is the best one on paper, but I'm really doubting if it's the upgrade I want. If I'm gonna spend this amount of money it has to be worth it.
Anyone that has experience with both and can advise me?
I have been looking to buy an android around the price range of 300 dollars, I know I wont find any good deals on the new market so I am looking for used phones. I dont olay any mobile games and I just want a phone with a decent camera for when I need it and a battery that I wont have to worry about. Right now I have an iphone 12 but its starting to slow down and hence I am looking for something better than this. Any suggestions?
Hi, would like some recommendation for best performance phone i can get in the mentioned price range.
Don’t care too much about camera A must is NFC and GPay. I would appreciate a close to stock android UI, but not a deal breaker.
I don’t change the phone every year, so brand is not a problem as long as phone is reliable.
Thanks!
LE: i’m looking to buy this in Romania.
I'm from the Philippines and in need of suggestions. Which should I choose? If possible list down pro's and con's if you have the time! Otherwise, you can just tell me the answer and why choose one from the other.
I feel like the Vivo v40 has the better camera performance while Honor 200 Pro has the better graphics performance. Though from my own understanding, the Vivo v40 has non-existent throttling. Not sure with Honor 200 Pro.
The reason why I ask this is just because I like the UI or OS of the Honor 200 Pro better. It feels, premium-ish? Like an iphone of sorts.
Give me your thoughts. Budget is around 30,000 Philippine pesos or around $500 (Can strectch a little bit if it is 100% worth it!)
P.S. Vivo v40 pro is not available in our country.
I am not heavy user, just some internet, YouTube, sometimes photo.
Is it worth to pay twice the price in my case? Is camera really that superior eg. in pixel 8a compared to redmi?
Next year on Black Friday I will buy myself a new phone after 3 and a half years with my Samsung a52s 5g. In your opinion, at a maximum of 400 euros, which phone will be the best for longevity of at least 4 years? Maybe another Samsung?
