Rules
No Spam. It's perfectly okay to post your YouTube video, blog, or kickstarter here. Your content is welcome. (No live streams, though.) However, we ask that your self promotional content not be more than around 10 percent of your total posts. For more information please Reddit's self-promotion rules here.
Neoretro games only. /r/NeoRetro is for posts about retrogaming from the 5h generation of consoles to the 7th. However, discussion about newer and older platforms is allowed as discussion, just not as a top-level post. "Collection," "Battlestation," and "Score" posts may contain modern games and older games, but they must be majority 5th gen to 7th gen focus.
Don't be a dick. Remember that there's a human on the other end of the screen. Adhere to reddiquette and all reddit site-wide rules. Maintain civility at all times.
No Live Streams. Reddit is a link aggregation service at its core. It preserves content and information. Because live streams expire, they are not examples of good content for this subreddit and are not allowed.
No "How Much is [X] Worth?" posts. Use Pricecharting or similar pricing services, or eBay sold listings for a method of determining the value of your games, consoles or paraphernalia.
Collection/Pickup Posts. Collection/pickup posts may be posted on Saturday and Sunday. Provide a prompt with your post for discussion as body text within the post itself. No graded games (e.g. WATA, VGA, CGC). Alternatively, this content might fit in r/gamecollecting.

Any other games that feel like Fable on xbox OG
I've played through fable TLC about 5 times and was wondering if there are any other OG Xbox games that have the same feeling.
Things I'm looking for:
• simple rpg elements
• Cozy World
• Similar Art style
• Morality system? (I have Kotor)
• Leniar open world?
Love fable and I already have Sudeki. I'm enjoying Sudeki but I'm wondering what RPG I can play next that feels less overwhelming.

My Life: Handheld Fashion Gaming Console (2007)
Hey everyone !! I'm currently searching for this handheld console, "My Life". It was produced and distributed in 2007. I'm not sure where it was retailed, but I can only seem to find one listing for this game, on eBay: My Life Handheld Console. In case you need extra information on this console: This console was produced in Italy, and created by Giochi Preziosi. I am also searching for My Life's successor, "My Real Life" (2010). I don't know if I'm not scouring the internet hard enough, but I can't seem to find the "My Real Life" listed for sale. For both games, I'd like to weigh my options and prices carefully :). Hopefully you can help point me in the correct direction. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I'll insert images of both consoles.

what hard and software for Multiplayer couch retro gaming?
Hey guys,
i'd like to bring gaming to my daughters, but in a way i experienced it and loved it back in the days. playing games on the tv in the living room while sitting on the couch, me and my brother a controller in our hands.
now what would be the best hardware in regards of price and perfomance? and what software should i use to emulate games up to PS2?
it needs to support two or better more controller i already have one wireless xbox controller and am willing to buy another

What are the best versions of each console to mod?
I am looking to expand on my current console setup.
PSX - SCPH-7501, N64-NUS-001(USA)
Retrotink4k on LG C2 and Sony KV27FS120.
My goal is to maintain an experience that is as true to the original hardware as possible, so I'd like to avoid software-emulated backward compatibility. I'm very interested in mods that would allow me to play backups and open to others that would allow for higher-quality signal output.
With this in mind, which model consoles would be the best to look for, and what mods would be best for them?

Which TV and console should I get?
Hey everyone i rlly like the charm of old games and wanna start playing all the ps1-3 games I was too young to play when they first came out, and preferably on one of those big boxy TVs.
Can anyone help me with TV recommendations and also what ps3 console to try and get (since i heard some models r backwards compatible with ps1 and 2 games and i’d rather not spend a ton of money on multiple consoles or whatever)
btw I’m not interested in pc emulation, I wanna play on the console and with that box tv to get the whole “old gaming” experience lol
(Maybe nothing too bulky but still a TV that has the same boxiness if ykwim lmao)

What is the best gaming emulator for PC in 2024?
I'd like to play some retro games, like Mario, Nba street v2/v3, NBA ballers, Midnight Club dub edition, remix Halo, Grand theft auto, Star Wars, Tony Hawk, eg. Just all the cult classics pretty much!
Can you give the emulator and what computer specs I need to be compatible. I want the system to run well and not lag.

Need help to identify this old lexibook portable consol
Hello,I found this old lexibook portable console that I played with in 2007-2008 with my cousins (we all had one, it's the only one we have left - largely damaged by my mother-in-law's son)
The console brings together around fifty arcade games, grouped into 5-6 categories. The console could also be connected to the TV, I believe. (never tested sucessfully).
Can someone help me to get is name ? Is this console have a price ?
It's normally working (If anyone is interested to see), I just have a AAA battery left for the moment.
