Until now I had not dedicated the Mac environment to Gaming, I knew its limitations. Despite this, I had used the 2019 MacBook Pro with 8GB of RAM on occasions to play games like House Flipper (I love these types of decoration and management games) and I could use it but I noticed on some occasions that the game was not working properly. everything fluid.

This Christmas, Santa Claus will be good (my wife much better) and will almost certainly drop a Mac Mini M4, 512 SSD and 32 RAM. I know that yours would be an M4 pro, but our budget is already going to the moon.

I wonder how this model that we will buy could work, for titles like Cyberpunk 2077, games like House Flipper (gosh, two such different games) and many other titles.

I also recently tried the Riunjix emulator on an 8Gb M1 MacBook Air, playing the latest Zelda, but after a short time, the program crashed directly.

Would there be a possibility/problem to use this program or similar ones fluently?

The thing is that we choose this model in order to be an investment for a good number of years. On the other hand, I also do graphic design and I think that with this configuration I have more than enough, so on that side I was calm.

Hi. I'm trying to play GTA IV in VMware using Windows 11 ARM iso that microsoft recently uploaded. Game starts but as soon as I start driving city lights starts flickering and later whole screen goes black with white smudges. It is mostly happening at night and in cutscenes when I think light source is in the camera field of view. Do you guys have any ideas what could be causing this? Could this be caused by too little amount of RAM? I'm using base Mac Mini M2 8/256. I would appreciate any help.

Hello. I am having an issue I can't solve, hopefully someone can help.

I have a steam account with several pc games, and new mac mini M4.

I installed Crossover 24.0.5 tonight, and tried to get some of my older PC games to work.

I can easily install steam. I can view the forums and various store pages no problem.

I can set steam up to download a game. Unfortunately, what happens is the game winds up in the download list, then nothing happens, I don't get any downloads to the computer at all. It remains stuck at 0%.

Eventually the downloads ends with no internet connection, or a connection timed out error.

I am at a complete loss as to what to do. Any ideas?

So far I have rebooted the computer. I have deleted the bottle and make a fresh one. I have run the crossover removal tool, then set crossover 24 up again. I have also tried multiple games, multiple times without even a small piece ever downloading.

I am out of ideas to get this to work.

I have mac m2 air and i really want to play some good mainstream games, but i am unable to play any of them as i am a f2p and cant afford any emulators, i heard that marvel rivals is releasing for mac but there is no confirmation, i really hope they release it for mac

experiencing a crash 15 min into the game, every time at the same loading screen after the dream sequence. tried variations of settings, read that some people were able to play it, anyone know how to fix or is it unplayable?

Today i downloaded GTAV via steam in wiskey, but every time I open it, nothing happens but it says "STOP" in blue instead of "PLAY" in green. I attempted opening the GTA5.exe in program files but it says "Please open GTA from the rockstar launcher". So, i tried opening "Launcher.exe" with a rockstar logo in program files, and this time it said "Rockstar Games Launcher is already running" please help.

I'm assuming there is a performance difference. So is there a way to filter just native Arm games?

Is there any way i can play rdr2 on mac? maybe using parallels?

Hey guys! I don’t have much experience with gaming, but I found a new game (Traveller’s Rest) and I was super excited to play it! I realized it wouldn’t download to my Mac as is, so I found Whiskey and added it to my laptop. The game seemed to download fine, and I can open it and play for a bit, but then it crashes and doesn’t save anything.

Does anyone have any advice for this? It’s annoying to say the least. Any help is appreciated!

I'm using the GOG version of Noita on a M4 Pro Mac Mini. I've read that Crossover 23.7 runs the game just fine with certain settings, per the wiki, which I'm using. However, every time I attempt to run the game, it crashes the system, forcing a reboot, shortly after displaying the title bar for the game.

Has anyone run Noita on an M4/M4 Pro?

I know it’s not ideal but it meets the minimum specs and I’ve seen people run it fine. But for me it’s stuttering so bad it’s unplayable even on low settings. I’m using whisky with d3dmetal, I’d appreciate any help.

Playing on steam, it opens the app in the doc but no window and it says application not responding when I right click, then after a few minutes it crashes. I'm not using crossover or parallels cause it should run on macOS and isn't a 32 bit game

I'm thinking of purchasing a Gulikit kk3 max as it is compatible with mac os and is a good all around controller. However, I am wondering if it is possible to use it wired or with the dongle as i have a usb a to c adapter. Bluetooth latency is something i tend to notice so this is a must. If it's not possible, are there any other controllers that are good for mac and games via steam?

Hey For you guys searching an high-quality controller with wireless usb-dongle/bluetooth, i can vouch for the apex 4 Black Myth Wukong edition, it has 2000hz and works like a charm for mac.
For Firmware Updates you need an android , ios or windows device as sadly the software has no official release for mac, but most of the config you can do inside the controller directly.

For the connection i use an usb-c to usb-a(2.1) hub, because the dongle is only usb-a but i ordered now usb-a to usb-c adapter and will tell you how good its working i can imagine that it only works with usb 2 instead of usb 3 but i will update this post when i tested it.

Also i only tested the Black Myth Wukong edition which is an completly upgraded Apex 4 controller and not just "design" so i don't know if the normal Apex 4 is working as it clearly has a different wireless usb dongle (1000hz).
Its pretty expensive to be honest but believe me when you buy this controller you will love it :).

Can anyone point me in the direction of getting this mod to work on Mac, or can anyone suggest something similar? Trying to change my characters race mid game in a local split screen game. Thanks!

i recently got gifted the game on steam, and would rather not spend money on crossover, parallels, etc. and i heard the switch emulator (ryujinx) was getting shut down. i've tried whisky in the past and its worked just fine, but trying to launch p5r just gives me a transparent window that goes black when i try to full-screen it. i ended up getting the crossover free trial and it worked fine with that, but i know i wont be able to finish the game in the small trial window crossover has. i was wondering if theres any ways to troubleshoot or fix this problem through whisky specifically, as buying crossover would be a last resort...
