Should I choose the M4 or M4 Pro when buying a Mac Mini 🤔 I primary use nvidia geforce now (game streaming service) for AAA titles and local for less demanding titles. Beside that I also play around with some homelab stuff.
I have Diablo 4 running. Gets super laggy during Vessel of hatred content, not so much on original release content. Any fixes? Using Crossover with D3D, Esync, and High res Mode.
I’ve got Whiskey and an M3 with 32gb of vram. It’s loaded fine so far. No errors on start. Compiled shaders. It said I have an HDD and not an SSD, so only low graphics are supported. Weird. Intro runs. OH GOD…
I can update everything to ultra afterward, but that doesn’t fix anything. I mean… it’s playable if you hate skin.
Has anyone been able to get Infinite Warfare on Mac? If so, whats the necessary steps? I just want to play the Zombies
I just want games that don’t require third party translation that run flawlessly!

Hey guys, I’ve read some posts from few years ago. Are there any updates? I have a Mac M1 Pro and I’d like to buy VR to watch movies and play games sometimes. If I buy oculus 2, does it work? Are there better options?

I am a bit bored by wow and for my free time I am looking for some mmorpgs, but every that i try or want to buy has no Mac release, and with the wiskey gimmicks the game Still cant run because of the Anti cheat system.
.
For the first time in my life, I ordered a computer above base level: Mac mini M4 Pro.
Apple says "Games with ray-traced effects look WAY more compelling" on M4 Pro. I don't game much, and when I do, it's on iPad. But I do have an Apple Studio Display.....so....
Can anyone recommend a game (I do have a Steam account) with ray-traced effects so I can feel compelled? I don't mind violence, but shooters get tedious when that's all it is.
Hi, planning to get the new MAC Mini with M4... the purpose is for video/audio 4k editing, extensive work & casual gaming (AAAs) (I own a PS5, so no worries on that department).
As I am new to MAC world, request a feedback of this mini beast or whether one should go for it if he/she has the requirement for above.
Thanks!
When Apple transitioned iOS/macOS from 32-bit to 64-bit, it removed compatibility for previously purchased games to run on Macs. Now that it has its own app store, what prevents Apple from doing the same thing again?
For this reason, I don’t buy games from the Mac App Store, opting instead for stores like GOG, Steam, etc.
Hello everyone!
I am stuck in the decision making process for my new entry into the Mac (gaming) world.
I am looking to spend around 2700 Euros on my new Mac and cannot decide between the following setups.
Mainly this will be my everyday MacBook. In addition I will do some photo editing (with and without AI) and some gaming, mainly strategy games like Anno 1800, the Settlers, the next Anno game or the Twopoint games. I do not know if these are more CPU or GPU dependent.
MacBook Pro 16", M2 Max (38 GPU cores), 32 GB RAM, 1 TB storage.
MacBook Pro 14", M4 Pro (20 GPU cores), 24GB RAM, 1TB storage
I would really appreciate your help. I would like to keep my machine for about 5 years, not expecting it to run games from 2029 on max settings.
Thank you very much!
With Whisky? Or maybe Crossover?
Does anyone know if it works and is playable?

I'm trying to run some games with whisky but the audio is really glitchy. I've tried configuring the audio with MIDI and Whisky but nothing's changed. I've included a video recording of me opening up a game and playing it. I can provide additional info if needed.

I don't see any tutorial about this error on the web.
I’m using the M1 Pro MacBook which I got at launch year . Is upgrading to the M4 Max worthwhile from a gaming perspective?
EDIT: 16 GB RAM, 16 inch, 2021 model with 1 TB of storage.
Hey all,
I recently bought Death Stranding on Steam, but now it's available on the Mac App Store. Is there any way I can get the Mac App Store version for free since I already own it on Steam? Alternatively, can I use the Game Porting Toolkit (GPTK) to play the Steam version on my Mac?
Lastly, does anyone know if there’s a way to transfer my saves between the Steam version and the Mac App Store version?
Thanks in advance! Any advice is appreciated.
I'm not sure if this is the correct forum, but I'm trying to find information on a game i played in the mid 90s. The concept was you're a leader of a group of cavemen who are displaced when the volcano that housed your cave erupts. The opening story of the game has "in the hall of the mountain king" as it's sound track. Does anyone remember this game, and perhaps it's nane?
Hello, I have a Macbook Pro with 32 GB RAM and M1 Pro chip. Today, I bought Death Stranding from the App Store and when I opened the game, I was greeted by these red dots. There are relatively fewer dots in the gameplay, but they literally explode in cutscenes. And when I turn on any kind of MetalFX, black artifacts first appear and then they turn into a pure white glow. I linked the videos of both situations so I just would be really glad if you could help me find the source of this.
Thought this would be interesting to this sub - Cyberpunk 2077 is coming to macOS! They're finally pulling the plug!
