Never used GOG so I have some questions.

1. How reliable are they with day-1 releases?

2. How do updates function?

Regarding 1, I'm mainly interested in STALKER 2, but I honestly do not want to wait for issues and prefer to play on day 1 as I've been looking forward to this game to much.

For 2, is it going to be like in the 90's and early 2000's where they release an .exe that contains the files to be updated?

Depending on the answers I'll get it on GOG or Steam. If it's fairly hassle free, I do prefer the old fashioned way of "owning" your games and playing without a launcher though.

I'm 7 chapters in and the game froze during autosave so I had to reset my PC. When I went back to the main menu, it gives me two options, new game or chapter replay. It allows me to replay up to chapter 7. When I replayed chapter 7, I wasn't able to progress onto the next chapter.

I can't possibly start a new game because I've already spent hours getting to this point.

Is there something I can do?

I beat the game on pc game pass. If I buy the game on GOG, does that progress transfer?

I'm viewing my cart right now and it says my cart total including my state tax is $7.95. So, I put $7.95 in my cash app visa card balance and try checking out but I then get declined and then I receive a text saying purchase declined for $8.10. Why isn't GOG showing the accurate total before I checkout?

I recently purchased Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition from GOG. I understand that I can install the game and add it to Steam, allowing me to launch it through Steam Link. However, this setup means the game won't be recognized as a native Steam title and won't contribute to Steam achievements.

My question is: Will the DSX Steam Paid Version work with the game once it's added to Steam? I'm looking to use my PS5 controller and want to utilize its adaptive and haptic features while playing. Any insights or experiences would be greatly appreciated!

I noticed that gmail started aggressively blocking GOG mails as spam. I have my gmail account set to forward to my personal email and before I was still reseaving GOG emails they were flagged as spam but not blocked. Now almost all GOG emails just straight got blocked and not forwarded to my email forcing me to somethimes log in to my gmail account to look at the spam mail. Do you have the same issue and do you know how to fix this?

so im running linux on my system, with a windows and amd emulator, but GoG wont let me download anything so if someone could give a couple pointers or maybe tell me if im doing something worng that i dont realize. Any help would be greatly appreciated. UPDATE i figured it out i had to enter the download in thee terminal to actually install

I bought Drova - Forsaken Kin, and I am absolutely loving it. It feels like a spiritual successor to Gothic, but Pixel graphics and isometric.

You end up in a "colony" type place. Its an open world map similar to Gothic meaning you can go anywhere you want at anytime (but will you survive it?). There are 2 factions that you get to choose to join during the game. Choices you make affect other stuff in the game. Also, the music is fantastic.

highly recommend getting the game.

And the developers are keeping it to version parity with Steam, releasing updates on GOG version the same day as Steam too.

Pretty sure this is an issue other people are having.

Purchased 8 games, and none are showing up in my library on the Galaxy launcher. I've installed them all through GOG's website using their offline installers, and now all but one of the games will have a Play button if I access them through the store, but they don't show up in my Owned or Installed games.

Hopefully this issue gets cleared up soon, because it'll make playing these games a bit more finicky and I'd rather not flood my desktop with game shortcut icons!

I bought a game a few hours ago but it's not showing as owned in my GOG Galaxy app.

It says I own it on the website but when I click download and install it just takes me to the page on Galaxy but there's no option to download, it just looks like a game does when you don't own it. It also hasn't shown up in my library on galaxy. My credit card was still charged for it.

Hi all, the two new games I purchased are not showing up in my owned games. What am I doing wrong? I even went to my online account and downloaded them and the files won't run on my PC. The requirements are relatively low (it's old Commander Keen and Deliverance: The making of kingdom come). It's been over an hour and they're still not showing up.

I recently heard that I "don't own steam games," and I was worried that a lot of the games I have been hoping to get on PC might not be available in the next five years. If I were to buy a game on steam, would it be possible to offline install it with the help of Gog?

As all of you know, Amazon Prime has been slamming their subscribers with amazing titles such as the Tomb Raider series, Bioshock, and now for November, Dishonored the highlight of this month including other oldies like Chasm: Rift and Blade of Darkness. I had this in my head for quite a while but is there a dedicated "leaker" or "predictions board" of what new games will be offered by Amazon's monthly giveaway?

I noticed that for this month's giveaway, Amazon is going to give out Chasm and Blade of Darkness, two games that I have seen go on a Humble Bundle sale the month prior. Tomb Raider is being actively given out, I guess because of their deal with Crystal Dynamics.

So this begs another question, should I wait till these games are handed out for free by Amazon Prime subscribers or wait till they are on sale like the Halloween Sale for GOG? For instance, I want to start the Legacy of Kain series for the upcoming remaster version coming this December but knowing Crystal Dynamic's partnership with Amazon Prime, whats the possibility that the first Legacy of Kain will be given out for free? I know that right now it's less than $1 during Halloween but I can't help the saving itch in the back of my head of what could have been.

I recently checked out many Linux distributions and some that caught my eye are EndeavourOS and CachyOS. Both are Arch based and CachyOS seems to have really fast kernel.

I know Steam has entire Proton thing ever since SteamOS and Valve was a great help, but does anyone know what gaming on GOG is like on Linux, especially on CachyOS or EndeavourOS?

Also any other advices for Linux distributions would be much appreciated.

So I just downloaded gog galaxy and linked my gamepass account but the only games that show up are the ones i own or have previously installed through gamepass. I can't see the full librabrybof gamepass. I have al the boxes checked in the subscription settings but it's still not working

I see that the games redeemed through Amazon Prime are called "game name - Prime" so there is a risk that if I have to redeem a game that I already own GOG does not recognize me and then redeems me the same?

In short if I don't want to burn a key to a game I already own I have to check the library because GOG wouldn't warn me because the name is different?

Star Wars Rebellion/Supremacy is one of my all-time favorite games! It's a 4X strategy game from 1998, which I think has a lot of neat moments for fans of the old SW Expanded Universe.

Two major aspects of the game are military battles (mostly in space, because ground combat auto-resolves) and special operations undertaken by named characters or generic special forces units. I've had an idea of doing a challenge runs where I limit myself to only using one of the two, and it's been a lot of fun.

There's also a new fan-made 25th anniversary patch with a full editor for the game, which you can find on swrebellion.net. Big thanks to them, the patch is awesome :)
There've also been huge updates to the patch in the meantime, and the team has now "remastered" most of the ship models. There's also the optional canon-accurate galaxy map, new artwork for the encyclopedia entries, and lots more.
