For those of you that have enclosed an air compressor in a soundproof-ish enclosure how much air intake do you need? Just a few holes or a larger opening? High or low, does it matter?
Looking to have my floors done, but not sure how to address these 2 anchor & plates.
One company that came to provide a quote suggested coating right over them, but I’m not sure that’s the right thing to do?
If anyone has photos of their own and what they did that would be greatly appreciated!
I’ll be starting my build in the spring. Anybody have pics of yours around this size? Inspiration to help me get through the winter please!
So I’m trying to find a miniature version of the LED hex lights. So far I’ve had no luck I’m looking for like 6-8” bars to make hexagons I’m wanting to put them in the hutch of my toolbox as I do a lot of soldering, gunsmith, and engraving and I want plenty of light. If anyone has any suggestions or insight where I could find a “mini” led hex light kit I’d greatly appreciate it! Thank you!
Planning on hanging NewAge Pro 14-piece system on a garage wall. On rear side it would sit on a around 2” concrete lip. I would obviously anchor it to studs with lag screws.
My questionnis if the wall will be able to carry the weight and the inwards twisting force of the cabinets and the stuff inside. It will sit on the concrete on the rear but I can only imagine the amount of force that would try to pull the screws from the studs, or twist the wall inwards. Thisnis going to be an exterior wall.
Will not be using ledger board and it will sit straight on the concrete.
Also, would I need to install the brackets? I was thinking just to bolt the lockers and cabinets straight to the studs.
TY
OK so I don't like the trend in hexagon lighting. I am sure lots of people do, and that's great for them - I just don't prefer it.
What I really want is a similar solution, with light pieces and connectors, that can be assembled into squares/rectangles. So light sticks (18" maybe), L-Shaped connectors, Y shaped connectors, + Shaped Connectors, etc. that can be combined in the same way as the hexagons, but form squares and rectangles.
Does such a thing exist?
This is part of a home renovation we are doing for a customer. Pretty happy with how this turned out. This will match his black cars nicely.
We are building a 2 car garage and would love garage wall set-up inspiration photos. Even though we are not mechanics or doing other specialised work in our garage, all organisation inspiration photos would be helpful. Thanks ahead of time for anyone who shares photos.
I have a large 4 stall garage being built and my builder asked me if I wanted to do an epoxy floor. Being 4 stalls and high ceilings, I figured the kids and I could either shoot hoops in there or even play pickleball. Is doing epoxy a bad move since it can be slick? What about grit in the epoxy?
I would like to ensure no one gets hurt running in there and that a ball can bounce somewhat normally. Does anyone have experience between the two surfaces when doing small ball games?
This may not be the correct place, but I figured you guys would know. I'll be doing a lot of work in my detached garage this winter and need to figure out heat. It's a 3 car garage if that helps with size. But the past few years I've been using this 60k btu propane heater. And while it does a great job of heating the garage very quickly, propane is expensive and a 20lb tank goes very fast. I'm thinking of switching to a diesel heater any suggestions? Also I'm in Michigan
Kinda debating on doing a darker color for my garage, anyone wanna share some pictures of your not gray floor?
Show me your set up!
