Hey everyone, I’d really appreciate your thoughts as I’m considering moving to Ajax, either around Kingston & Westney or Kingston & Harwood—somewhere a bit south of Kingston and near Costco. I’d love to hear your opinions!
Honestly, I'm kinda pissed off. "Kinda" is also putting it lightly.
It seems that EVERYONE and their GOOSE had the Bell fibre lines installed except the area I'm in (between Westney and Harwood, basically on Kingston road). It seems like people literally 2 minutes away from me had it installed, yet my neighbourhood never saw it once! Now we're way past any deals that we could have seen on it, and it's so annoying. I called customer service reps plenty of times, and I'm just told "Oh, just wait next month! Wait next month!" IT'S BEEN 6 MONTHS. I even spoke with the technicians in the vans and they say it should have been installed by now!
Is there someone I should talk to? I know I'm full blown Karen-ing right now, but seriously, what the hell!
I read in an old reddit post that the Whitby Passport location is less busy if you go in the afternoon? Anyone know if this is still true? Trying to decide if I should get there super early or if I should try for later in the day. Unfortunately Oshawa Service Can isn't an option because I need it quickly. Thanks so much!
Trying to find a Pilates studio for my girl friend. She heard about Pilates from one of her colleagues and now tasked me with finding the best studio closest to our home. I am open to recommendations around Oshawa or Whitby. Also, she is an absolute beginner - like it’s been 3 days that she knew something like this existed.
Not sure where to take my gf! She's in the Pickering/Ajax area!

Used to be crowded and full around 10pm. But these days it’s super empty
Guys I have been searching a pest control job for over a month now. I have a structural exterminator license and a drivers license as well. If you are in the industry, please give me suggestions and help me understand the market better.
Smaller cities and municipalities like Port Perry, Bomanville, Uxbridge, Brock Township, and Beaverton can be included as well.
I'm pursuing law enforcement, paramedics as a new career. Late 40s.
Definitely want to improve my flexibility. My stamina and endurance is great for my age.
Does anyone have any good recommendations for yoga, flexibility aerobics classes in the north end of Oshawa or Whitby? Brooklyn might be better? I live in the north end of Durham, so even Port or Uxbridge could work.
Classes that are fine with men attending? I sort of prefer to have my ass kicked too. (Not literally).
Municipal organized ones would be great for my budget. But I'm open to others.
I’m thinking:
Think change starts small with all of us doing our part- however small but we need to collectively send a message as consumers
Hi everyone, Is there any self-service car wash in Ajax Whitby or Oshawa. It's my first winter in Canada and my first car so I wanted to Wash my car once in a month in winters so it won't get rusty, Thanks!
We are expecting first child in summer this year. Many ppl have suggested to start registering for daycare waitlists now itself. We don’t really know when we will start needing daycare (wife will be on mat leave for a year, so probably sometime around that, around 1.5 years from today).
How should we be looking for options (google searches?) What kind of fees we are looking at? Anyone has details for centres in Whitby in terms of quality, pricing & waitlists?
Maybe naive but do we need to pay only for days child is in daycare or for whole month? We are hybrid workers & parents also come over for few weeks once in a while & we may manage kid at home during those periods.
Has anyone tried the early resolution option provided when receiving a speed camera box speeding ticket? Have they reduced the fines?
I have received multiple tickets for the same road by my house for going slightly over (40km) ….the tickets were all served/sent in the mail to me on the same day.
Any success stories, with talking to the prosecutor for early resolution?
Hey,
I have two tickets to meet SUM41 and I’m unable to go tomorrow. Willing to let both go at cost (~$45).
Let me know.
