The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) is a country based in Central Africa. Also known as Congo-Kinshasa, the DR Congo should not be confused with the Republic of Congo, also known as Congo-Brazzaville, its neighbor to the west. It is the second largest country in Africa by geography and the fourth largest by population.

Bonjour à toutes et tous ! Je me rends compte ce matin que je n’ai aucune idée de comment appeler la nationalité d'un habitant de la République du Congo ou de la RDC... on dit Congolais dans les deux cas ?
Asking as a congolese-american living in the US. Is the Congolese government doing everything they can to get the rebels out of Goma? Why are they falling short?
As we all know, Showmax is Africa's go-to streaming platform, yet there hasn’t been a dedicated space for us Showmax viewers to connect and chat. So, I decided to create this community for anyone who loves diving into all the amazing content Showmax has to offer—whether it’s the incredible African Originals, messy reality TV, or binge-worthy HBO series.
I wanted a place where we can share recommendations, discuss our favorite shows, and celebrate the diverse stories that make Showmax special. No more scrolling through endless threads to find fellow fans; we’ve got our own corner now!
If you’re a Showmax lover (or even just curious about what it has to offer), come join us! Let’s build a vibrant community together and keep the conversation flowing. Can’t wait to see you there! 🍿✨
Seems like something that could be feasible with some help, but it's not like they're going to run out of it soon.
Question just came up out of the air, i'd like to discuss it but i probably wont take it too serious.

Hi everyone! I’m doing a case study for my uni assignment on how poverty in the DRC is linked to its rich natural resources, government and external factors, and I need your help. Please take a few minutes to fill out this short survey and share your thoughts on how things are in the DRC. Your answers are much appreciated. Do share any other thoughts you guys have in the comments. Any insight from the locals there will be very useful for my study. Thank you!
After my last visit to the park, I promised people here that I would share my guide on visiting our National treasure.
After spending some time proofreading it, I can now tell you that it is ready.
You can read it from here:

I also found an amazing blog post that details visiting the park. You can read about it here;

I have tried to cover everything you may need, but feel free to ask me any questions if you still have questions after reading those two posts.
What’s one thing truly working well in our country. Something to be proud of. Without mentioning music or even sports. Something we as Congolese truly benefit from in our country.
I am looking to connect with anyone that won DV lottery 2025 to share knowledge and experience.
Hey guys! I am just curious if there is a gaming scene in Congo? I know the country has some hardships and that is why I am asking. I look at gaming cultures around the world, since I like to play video games, racing games and sports games. So I am wondering how is the culture in Congo or if there is a culture? Thanks for your insight!
Hi l'm a American Nigerian female. Can someone please enlighten me how bad the crisis is in the Congo? I know this has nothing to do with Najja however I feel like in the US they don't make it a big deal because i don't ever see it get cover like what's been happening in Ukraine. I really want to help my people anyway I can and will seriously consider not buying any more Apple products and will switch to a fair phone... thanks
Truly not trying to be offensive, but recognizing my own white ignorance of this topic, I come to reddit for help. I'm volunteering with a group to help support and set up a family that is arriving to the USA next week as refugees from Congo after a long stay in a refugee camp in Burundi. Are there any specific products for hair care or toiletries I should get for them? It's a mix of males/females, one adult and several kids. I'm admittedly culturally ignorant of African beauty and grooming standards and hair products for black hair but I want to provide them with whatever they may need or appreciate so they can feel at home. If anyone has any thoughts about other household items that would be culturally meaningful or potentially offensive, please let me know! TIA
New to congo lubumbashi any English speaker we could make friends, i find it hard communicating coz lots of people speak french.
