Kinshasa, formerly Léopoldville, is the capital and the largest city of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The city is situated alongside the Congo River. Once a site of fishing and trading villages, Kinshasa is now a megacity with an estimated population of more than 11 million.

Hey guys! Kids' journalist from Norway here. I'm writing an article for kids about the seven countries that get approx 100 % of their electricity from renewable resources! DRC is one of the countries. Could I ask some questions to someone? Would be cool to use a photo too. Just send me a message :D Best from journalist Ingrid

Hi!
Looking for some clarity on the above question please!
I have some people whom I intend to do business with, and their systems are all 100% offline at the moment.
Thank you!
Merci!
I'm planning to move to Kinshasa from the United States in the near future and I'm trying to find a website where I can find apartments to rent for anywhere between 3 months - 2 years (in Gombe, preferably, but anywhere in Kinshasa works).
I found two websites (im congo and expat.com) but the listings are pretty scarce. If anybody knows of any other places advertising apartments, let me know!
I'm from Austin, TX, US half Nigerian/American and have always wanted to visit this city. I love Soukous music and grew up listening to it from my Dad who passed away last year. I visited Lagos in 1994 when I was 14 with my Dad and my sister yet that was the last time I've been to Africa.
I'm planning to do this trip alone since I love solo travel International travel. Longest trip was China in 2010 and recently went to Istanbul this year.
Do you have any tips for a good and enjoyable stay in Kinshasa? Good food, drinks? I've always been scared to visit Kinshasa but I would hate to live my life knowing I've never visited this city. I've also heard Kinshasa is expensive, why is that and how is the best way to budget for a low key trip to Kinshasa?
Thank you.
I recently moved here and was wondering if there's effective wifi or if data is better?
If you were to have a piece on a board game to represent DRC what would it be.
