Front seats

I recently learned that there were some classic mustangs that had a rare option of coming with a bench seat in the front. I was wondering if anyone ever seen someone swap a bench seat into the front of a mustang that didn’t originally have a bench seat. I haven’t even started restoring my interior so it’s still very much in the air. I’m still looking into it and figuring it out so I was seeing if anyone knew where to start. I know it’s probably impractical but I think it be a fun headache.

Can't Start, Need Troubleshooting Tips

My 67 will not start. The lights come on, but it does not crank. Autozone says the battery is good. I tried the screwdriver trick on the starter solenoid. It sparks, but still not cranking. What should I do next?

Fuel Pump?

I have a 302 engine in a `73 that stopped pumping fuel. Was running fine right up until it wasn't. The fuel pump is a two year old 80GPH unit from CJ Pony Parts. As a part of the trouble shooting I popped off the fuel line from the gas tank and fuel came running out of the tank as expected, so no blockage there. I then blew air from the line to the carb back towards the tank (while still disconnected) to see if there was any crud in the line. Got no air from the line at the tank end, but it is coming out from the bottom side of the pump, maybe through the diaphragm. I thought the the air would blow all the way through the line. Since it is not, is this a pump problem or did I just mess up the pump?

Kickpanel identification

Does anyone know where could I find this kickpanel? I'm starting to think it was custom made, I can't find it so I'm asking for the Reddit folk there are more knowledgeable than me.

Rebuild master cylinder? 66 Mustang GT

I have a 66 Mustang GT and had power brakes installed several years ago. The master cylinder does hold pressure. The company made the pw brakes is no longer in business. Can I rebuild the master cylinder? Thoughts? Otherwise I guess I will have to have a new brake system installed,,,, Thoughts?

Rear seat delete 66 fastback

Has anyone built a custom rear seat delete for a Gen 1 fastback? The rear delete tray from CJ and other retailers is crazy expensive and I'll need to modify it anyway to fit around my roll bar. Just curious what others have used for materials and if anyone has any tips to make it look as clean as possible without rattling around.

I've also just thought about cleaning it nice and painting it.

Anyone have any examples of what they have done? Googling images isn't giving me much to work with.

Slight diseling when turned off (65 mustang 200 i6 w/ c4)

Wondering what may be causing my mustang to diesel. It's always just one little chug when ever I turn it off, not too bad but just curious as to why. When I turn it off in drive it shuts off just fine, no chug.

With the auto trans I believe it is idling right where it should be when on park at about 1100-1200 rpm and 700-800 when in drive. I've tried drizzling some atf down the carb and revving it up to clean out carbon. Still does it. What else could be a cause?

Cerakoted Caliper

Hey everyone, just wanted to share the way the caliper ended up looking once I got the car back together with some new wheels.

Pretty happy with the way it came out.

Tricks for removing rusted brake drum?

I'm running out of ideas... I've tried big hammer, tried penetrating oil, tried hearing it up with a torch... Brake drum is still seized to the hub. Any suggestions before I go out and buy a puller?

Anyone else having sub-par paint?

Might be overthinking this but does anyone else have not the greatest paint job on their mustang? I feel like mine isn’t the best. There’s some blemishes, chips, tiny dents in the body etc. I’m aware it’s a 50 something year old car but I just wanted to see if i’m alone in this. Also, being that mine is stored in my driveway due to my living circumstances, I feel like it’s not going to do me any favors. Anyone else wanna share their experiences or advice with this or maybe share some pictures?

Has any used the TMI pre-molded headliners?

The headliner is sagging some in my '72, and I've building out my list of winter projects. I've read to do a proper headliner replacement, you need to remove the front and rear glass. Because f*** that, has anyone used these instead?

1969 Mach 1 project

Hi guys! My grandpa is giving me his ‘69 mach 1! It has been sitting for years in a little barn. I just want to know known issues to look for, as it will be my first american car (i also have a 77 porsche 924). As far as I know it just needs new brakes. I will just be restoring it so i am not looking to modify it heavily. It was originally gulfstream aqua but he had it repainted to this grey metallic, but the picture above was before it was parked.

Front End Too High After New Upper Control Arms

I'm new to a stock, low milage, '65 Mustang.
I had a shop replace the cracked upper control arms with two new ones in the front. Now the Front end sits 1.5-2 inches higher than the rear and it looks odd. The rear seems to be stock ride height so I don't think it is sagging.
Could new upper control arms have caused the front to sit higher?

Bought into the classics and got a 67 project

I’ve been looking for a solid 67 to build from the ground up for several years. Finally found one that had been sitting in the weeds for about 20 years though it’s not the prettiest. Despite this, outside of the floor pans being on their way out, the car is as solid as can be. I got a 289 with it as well. I do have headlight buckets and the hood but not pictured which are also in great condition. I got really lucky with this car and was able to get it for $450.

Saw a 66 today with the car painted red and the door coves painted silver

I'm still having PTSD about it.

Please, no one ever do this.
