I’m doing a v8 swap in my 66 coupe. I’m starting with the suspension and braking upgrades. Right now I’m leaning tears the mustang Steve bracket kit paired with 2005 gt parts. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Looking for some new wheels for my 1968 Mustang. It's a 4 Lug which means not so many options…
I'd like to put a custom shifter handle on my 70 Mustang. (on the floor automatic, t handle) Can't find any with the button on the side. My question is, is the button actually required to depress, or can I just add a handle with no button and just tighten the cable so that basically the button is always pressed to shift?
(I know, I know, I want a manual too. I'm getting there, eventually)

So besides a detail, a few bits and some interior items. The 65 fastback had a full mechanical rebuild including the engiene. Car is finished however I have 3 keys is this right? Did the original owner change something? My father is 73 is the 2nd owner (got the car when he was 18) 1 key for ignition, one for the door, one for the trunk. The ignition and door keys are generic ford keys while the trunk has the pony on it.
Seperating the V on the vent window from the long bar that goes between the V and the main window. What is the proper way to remove these rivets so I can put in the new weather strips. I would assume just drill them out?
I need to move this hose so it doesn’t interfere with my accelerator. Can I disconnect it at the nut? I’m not sure if it’s air or liquid inside of the hose.
Can anyone help me find my grandpas mustang all I have is the license plate number
My buddy and I did a Lemons rally in my '68 a few years ago and decided to rock the Terlingua livery.
Hello guys. Today I joined to this Reddit looking for some information and experience some of you might have. I’m working on a 66 Mustang Clutch and in the process we decided to drain the transmission not only to make it lighter but also to change the actual fluid. Now we are in the situation that not even the dealer can give exact info on what type of fluid this transmission needs, they told me their sources don’t go that back in time. The only info I have is google telling me is preferably Type F but if I can’t find it. Is the Mercon V from any autoparts. What to you guys think?

So….ive always wanted to know how cars/motors work. Always. Im on the verge of inheriting my grandfather’s ‘65, and I’m torn between working on it myself, and learning(often the hard way, I’m sure), and worrying about damaging my late grandfather’s car beyond repair. Or getting myself in too deep and then feeling overwhelmed/wanting to give up all together. How hard is it to learn to do this? I know little to nothing about it.
Can someone plz let me know what this is called and does on my 1966 mustang convertible?
