Gonna be rad.

I started my first day of orientation on Tuesday I only worked for 1 hour bc the computers kept crashing so I was told to go in yesterday after finishing everything I then got shown how things work and what I’ll be doing, after all that I was told to just look at the schedule every day at 8pm I went ahead and did that but it seems I’m only scheduled for 1 day next week is this normal? And I’ll soon be scheduled more days or should I go ahead snd ask for more days I just don’t know if this 1 day is bc I’m still new or this is how the scheduling will work.

Curious if any customers or employees have had substandard experiences with farmhouse or their other restaurants. Been hearing and seeing alot of interesting things about this group and curious as to what this sub reddit thinks.

If you don't know, Too Good To Go is an app where restaurants and other stores that serve food use to offload their leftovers at the end of the day at a discounted rate. It's become pretty popular over the last few years but somehow the entire Burlington area, despite having a decent number of restaurants, still has literally zero restaurants on the service. What gives???

Me and my friend are international students at UMass Lowell, yesterday we randomly left in the afternoon to go and see about fall colors on Kancamagus highway. After the drive we didn't know what to do so we thought of couple of options and ended up driving to Burlington lol, also just wanted to spot Aurora Borealis. Last night we ended up in red square bar and couldn't explore much as it was raining and sat by Lake Champlain at night. I'm writing this post sitting at Walmart parking lot, we just came here to grab essentials as we did not think this through.. But I don't feel like I've seen this place and would like to meet new people and explore this town and places around!

When I mean night I mean like late, like after 9 PM preferably to at least 11PM.

My former landlord’s were Farrell Properties. They gave us 3 days notice that they sold off our building and one other to a new landlord while being very hush hush as to who it was. Turns out it’s Rick Bove.

I’ve seen nothing but bad things about the Boves as landlords. Anyone have experience as a tenant of theirs and can provide me with some insight? Our building has 47 units and the adjacent one has approximately the same.

Alright, which one of you is missing like a dozen chickens by the airport? They’re in and out of the road and if nobody picks them up, I’m going to have a new backyard flock.

I park downtown semi frequently. I have a spinal cord injury and a disability placard, but to most people I look "healthy." The last 3 times I have parked anywhere near the main st construction I've had a guy tell me I can't park in an accessible space and harass me, often before I even get out of my car.

It's really making me rethink if it's worth frequenting buisnessss there because I don't wanna deal with construction dudes surrounding my car - I'm a small woman - and yelling at me for parking where I am legally and morally allowed to park. Today I was sending a text to a friend to let them know I'd arrived and guy came up to my window and started yelling that I couldn't park there and then when I showed him my placard he started yelling about how it's illegal to idle, I'd been stopped under a minute.

Anyone else get harassed by them for parking or is it just cause I'm a woman who is often alone that I get harassed for my parking?

I wasn’t a Manhattan’s going person but after causing staff to walk out, this pivot feels pretty arrogant. I don’t think their business was down bc of what they offered, I think their business was down bc the new owners got a bad rep for being bad to employees. They haven’t changed, doesn’t seem like this will either. RIP Manhattans.

I just came back from Milwaukee and it was awash in queer bars that were absolutely packed. Isn’t Burlington one of the first cities c. 1980 to be an openly safe #LGTBQ city in America?
