Propably a repost but im new to the party but its kinda funny how weak ymir jaw was...mikasa even says that porco moves in ways ymir could never do...and she looks excatly like her pure titan form so were are her enhancments aka special ability
Please someone tell me
SoY, is obviously Subjects of Ymir.
I understand that AoT gets into the notions of racism and the cycles of violence attempting to relate it to real world problems. But, I question the many answers to it that Isayama poses.
Subjects of Ymir, and Eldians by extension if ever they could become a unified nation again, will strictly be the only race that'll be able to wield such a power and presence. If so, isn't the worldwide fear of them justified? Even if given the chance to build a nation of their own and become a player in the geo-political landscape, they are going to be eternally feared because (1) they have a "unique power" no other mutually exclusive nations or identity groups can posses, (2) the fear of their imminent world domination is always present (Eldians are not hesitant to Fascism as we have seen in S4). How would Globalization even work in such a scenario? How can equality be achieved?
Zeke's answer was Euthanization, since he didn't see another way out of the "threat of Titans", meaning the persistent fear of a race uniquely possessing this power that's going to exist in the world, so a slow, painless extinction was his answer. Eren's was, because a race with this power already exists in the world, they have a right to exist whether everyone else's fear of them is justified or not, so his answer was Genocide of the world outside so only this one race (with this power) exists from now on. Everyone else's answers are half-cooked, temporary or nothing at all. Either quickening the destruction of this race or just prolonging it.
This is more of an open discussion than looking for a conclusive answer.
It's a Christmas miracle!
so guys I just finished rewatching attack on titan and I've been feeling VERY empty. i had gotten too attached with the characters even though I was watching this for the second time, and cried for a solid 30 minutes after eren died. so how do u people cope up with the death of your favourite character, or when your fav anime finishes, or both?
Who tf is Hans?
Can anyone be a titan or only subjects of ymir. I know only subjects of ymir can become titan shifters but what about just regular titans?
Why didn’t Reiner and bertholdt feed Eren to a titan and bring the human that was the titan to Marley?
Why did Marley not just send the war-hammer titan to Paradis island. We see Eren getting his ass absolutely clapped by this titan even after he got decent control of his own Titan. It could not have been that hard to get this mad bitch instead of some children on that island.
Which also brings me to my second question, WHY CHILDREN?!?
Like, bringing birdhouse makes sense because of the colossal Titan makes sense and all, but Marcel? Reiner? Annie? They are just children, Zeke was older then them, why could he have not gone earlier to rock their shit up? Or why could they have not just, I dunno, send them all at once?! This is the Founding titan we are talking about reclaiming, the most powerful titan, I just feel it is kinda dumb idk.
This was probably covered in the anime or manga at one point but I'm just dense or smth, please tell me though.
Just finished AOT fully, anime was awesome maybe the best I’ve seen. But I just feel empty and since I realized that the show ended in 2023 I can’t help but think what happens now? Is there any more AOT content? Or are fans left to starve and rewatch old episodes. If anyone can update me I’d like that because I’m interested in more AOT stuff, much love.
Like bro, in s1 it was literally a 2013 shonen and it still looks like it could’ve been animated in 2024. It’s crazy. How did they animate it so well back then? How is it even possible?
Does anyone know when it will or if it’ll be played in theatres in US/Canada?
the attack on titan map animation i made: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rf4dRvSaJXg&t=3s
This is more of a proof of concept for a larger project + i made the mistake of not adjusting the quality properly
Just finished this damn show, and I've never cried so hard before, what the fuck. Isayama, if I ever catch you out on these streets man it's over 😭.
There's this heavy sadness that I'm feeling, and if I cry one more time, I'm going to lose it, my god. Any tips to cheer myself up? Heart-warming details that I possibly missed? Maybe other shows to watch that remind me of AOT but don't make me want to jump off a bridge? Anything.
What's with the emphasis on birds?
I recently reached AoT and there seems to be a huge emphasis on birds, feathers, and also leaves. Apart from somehow foreshadowing Falco's Jaw+Bird titan I don't see what other significance they hold.
