It's in the flashback Eren has as he awaits for trial following Trost. After Annie watches Eren use her move on Jean, she actually walks up to him and they chat, a contrast to her usual aloofness. It's a really cute and funny scene honestly, especially when Annie teases Eren for his bad form and somewhat flirtily offers to teach him how to do it right (which the good ol' blockhead doesn't pick up on it).
Why cut it out? It was such a good scene, I don't get it.
I recently finished watching aot and now iām rewatching it and i realized there was a lot i missed the first time around. One of those was the scene when eren is in the crystal cave and he either sees or remembers frieda brushing her hair looking at her mirror and then being shocked or surprised at what she sees. Iāve read a couple of reddit posts from a few years ago regarding this topic but it seems there isnāt a straightforward answer? I donāt know it felt like I just got even more confused after reading some replies! Iād love to start the convo up again and see why this happens, what frieda sees and how eren is seeing this as well. My original thought was he is unlocking a memory she had, since titans can see past memories of previous inhabitants. However is the āshockedā reaction that throws me for a loop. Another thought from a friend was that the combined power of the attack and founder titan clearly unlocked certain powers that were not necessarily well known and so eren was able to go back to Frieda at that moment (I know frieda never had the attack titan but maybe the combo of eren having both allows him to still be able to manipulate or alter friedaās past) Anyways if you have a more concrete answer with proof that supports it id love to hear it! (They may also explain it later on but I donāt recall, and like i said i feel like I missed a lot the first time around!)
Like do we ever even see him again?
I never understood the Hate Around Floch... He was for sure made to be hated but when you look clearly, He is of the best written characters to me... First We don't know his background, But to join the survey corps sure requires a strong reason, he was portrayed as a coward, But when my boy survived the Rocks he could have played the dead instead, He stood and Went to his injured Superior to retrieve him. Why? Probably because as us viewers he might also have been inspired by the Chad Erwin was and believed without him the corps wouldn't be the same (My interpretation). Regardless He did it, unfortunately due to plot purposes the logical choices wasn't made and his efforts were wasted...The Major Died. He felt Hatred to Eren the cause of this choices at first, but when the man stood as the "Savior" Of their Island he putted his hatred aside to join the cause... To free from the oppression of the enemies beyond the walls... He used war tactics, some despicable yes... But who won't when the life of those you like are on the line? When he was injured at the dork(was it... once again he could have played there? It's been a long time I read the lastest chapters i didn't watch the final final final season of the anime) but he rose from the depht of the ocean if was left for dead... to stop who were a threat for who he thought did his actions to free their people. Until the end he fought... for his efforts to be vain again, the plane was repaired, like with Erwin his efforts didn't pay... No one cared... worse... He did it all for nothing, the man he hated but decided to trust and follow the plan Eren, turned out to have other plans... heck apparently that wasn't even his plan... he was a "victim" of certain slave, of an outcome apparently he couldn't change, He wanted his friends to leave, and live happy with his stepsister truly sad yeah... Victim? Who is the victim? A man whose efforts were always deceived by the plot? That did everything for his beliefs and the sake of his people? The Yeagerist, were their death necessary too? They gave their life for a story that didn't seem to care about them... only a close circle that was meant to leave and after their peaceful death, the brutal retribution on the next generation is okay. I'm not re-entering the ending debates... I don't have the strength anymore. By this long post I don't want to glaze but pay tribute to a misunderstood man. Deceived and detested... Made to ne hated... that was the life of Floch Forster...
Marley know someone is an informant from the inside and knew what was the goal from the group how did they not suspect owl, like he is an eldian that was high ranking and not just some titan fodder that they send to wars from what we have seen, there is no way they didn't know he is eldian since they literally gave him the shingeki kyojin, it doesn't make sense
I thought the Ackermans are supposed to be immune to the founding titan's influence
What makes Mikasa so special? How did she manage to free Ymir when Eren freed her in FY2YA? This led to the start of the Rumbling, but it doesnāt make sense to me. Eren made Ymir ignore Zekeās command, Zeke was of royal blood, like King Fritz. Didnāt that already indicate she was freed or atleast going against her master
Animation was pretty cool.
I just couldn't muster an ounce of caring for any character in Marley. It's like, you've built so much content and interesting arcs around all these AOT characters and now we have to watch Gabi and Falco babble for 5 episodes straight.
If Isayama wanted me to empathize with (marlians?) it had the opposite effect. Eren should've gone 100% and then erased our memories of the show.
It's clearly not deserving for this movie. First, it's a recap. Second, there wasn't that many changes from the blu-ray. Third, the ending is still very controversial, probably even more now with the new post-credit scene. A 10/10 score is as crazy as a 1/10 score. What are these people so afraid of? The anime won't change just because it got a bad or a good score. Then why are they defending it so much?
What you guys take on this?
