I've been using iTunes since the firewire iPods. I've built up a rather large library in what is now Apple Music. On a day to day basis I primarily use my iPad for playing music.

Somewhere around iPad OS 16.5 soundcheck stopped working the same. Now instead of analyzing the song and developing a preset volume adjustment so the max volume of all songs were the same. It dynamically compresses the sound so it sounds distorted. So I turned Soundcheck off as I would rather have to deal with adjusting song volume rather than hearing horribly distorted songs.

I think it was iPad OS 17 where the confirmations went away and accidental press would reset a carefully setup queue.

Now in iPad OS 18 with my large library it operates slow as heck and crashes regularly. It went from crashing every month or two to a couple of times a week.

I wish I could go back to iPad OS 16, that was the last time I remember not being regularly frustrated. I can't wait to see what they break in the new versions.

ETA: Yes I've submitted feature and bug requests to Apple, but they go no where.

Started after downloading iTunes. I read that there might've been content restrictions on it (iTunes) but there weren't, nor on my iPhone

My apple music on windows skips thru every song in my playlist until it gets to a curtain artist then it plays their songs fine. is there any fix for this????

I just wanted to post this because I haven't found anything alike and found it hugely annoying (hope this is the right tag).

I wanted to use the shareplay option on my Bluetooth speaker but couldn’t, after a long while I found out why there was no icon in Apple Music. I had to go to bluetooth settings and click on my Speaker and tell my phone that it was a “speaker”.

After restarting the app I was able to use . Very frustrating but I hope I could help someone with this.

Tdlr: cant use shareplay with Speaker -> go to bluetooth settings and click on speaker and tell your phone its a speaker -> restart apple music voila

Recently, I watched a documentary about the TR-808 drum machine on Apple Music, and it was absolutely worth seeing. I stumbled upon it by chance, but unfortunately, I haven’t been able to find similar documentaries on the platform.

Does anyone know of other great music documentaries available on Apple Music?

So all of my downloads in Apple Music just got deleted, it was a bit over 20GB. Now that it’s deleted it says Apple Music only takes up 170MB of storage, but there‘s still the same amount of storage left, as before everything got deleted, which is 0.1GB. How do I fix this?

This may be a tech support question, but it applies to all platroms, as I have Apple Music on literally everything. Windows, Mac, iOS iPadOS and its the same.

Also something I find odd, Its added a few songs that ive only played once or twice because I just discovered them and just put them in a few playlists, I don't like that. I don't want them in my heavy rotations list until I play the living crap out of them.

I've played with this for weeks now.

I'm using a decent set of wired headphones with my M2 Mac mini (same results with my previous M1 iMac) and as soon as I turn on the equaliser with any of the sliders above the neutral line, the sound is distorted.

With the bass end it's worse — but it extends into the mids. Treble is a more difficult to analyse.

I'm happy with the neutral setting but I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same results.

For some reason when I say “Siri play Radio xxxx” it comes back with “here’s music inspired by xxxx”.

The voice command used to work and I can still find and play the station manually in Apple Music.

Does anyone know what the problem could be?

I want to vibe to some songs I listened to back in 2022 but there are some very cringe songs which I listened with friends for a joke. Is there a way to delete them from the playlist?

When I am in the car, I typically shuffle my library for music. Ever since I updated to iOS 18, at some point in my library, when I skip forward, my music will get skipped backwards. For example, let's say I am 30 songs into my shuffled queue. I skip and, now, I am back to the 3rd song in my queue. My car does not have carplay; my phone just uses USB to plug in. Has anyone experienced anything similar/has remedies to this?

As in, I am wondering if we will get our stats around the same time that Spotify wrapped comes out. That would be neat to compare with friends.

Apple Music keeps switching to repeat albums when they finish. I've set it to stop after playing 4 times now. And need to do it yet again.

I normally use AM on Android 15, but I opened it in Edge browser last night. I wonder if that's what led to it changing my setup...

Other than that, I really like Apple Music.

Freeing up my external HDD with 1.75 TB of lossless music I’ve collected over the years and adding it to my folders/playlists manually.

My flow: Copy folder (album) name -> search -> add to playlist.

Is there a way to automate this or make it easier and faster?

Sometimes I don’t even fully realize there was a “swear word” in a song until I hear the fucked up version with it plastered over. It is such a buzzkill, has anyone found a setting to prevent “clean” versions of tracks from ever being used in playlists? Like, for realz ever at all? My other big complaint about AppleMusic is that all my recommendations are tilted heavily in favor of music I listened to (but not even very much) over twenty years ago, so it’s not like they don’t know I’m a grownup by now!

The only consolation is realizing that I may be the only person bothered by the bowlderized versions of both A Boy Named Sue, and Victoria’s Secret.

Is it possible to change artwork of an existing album so it shows up on the phone. Just want to know cuz it doesn't work for me. Steps: I add the album to the library > change cover on desktop > click update cloud library and its still the same as AM

I have found some really good new music through Spotify by playing similar but new music I have not heard of. I was wondering now with the new updates since they added queue, if Apple Music has this feature!

When it released, I will be emailed access to the MP3 files. Is it possible to add these MP3 files to Apple Music so I can add them to my playlists?

Example I might have several playlists for only one artist, that I’d love to nestle under the artists name. Or have 20 sexy (or dance) playlists I’d like to group under Sexy, or Dance or Slow Dance and Club Dance. Anyone???
