So i was scrolling in social media and saw a clip from isekai quartet and got a lil bit spoiled about a character from Saga of tanya the evil. Ofc at first i thought i just forgot who the character was since tanya had lot of soldiers in her platoon. But when i looked at the comments , it was a character from the novel which hasnt been animated yet.
Damn imagine being spoiled from a crossover.

Thought I'd mention this here. Sounds like it's going to be easier to pick up physical titles outside the US.
To get a sense of what I enjoy I started my Light Novel journey with Ascendence of a Bookworm then moved to Mushoku Tensei. I am currently keeping up with Days with My Stepsister. Anime wise I really like Yatagarasu, Freiren, Apothecary Diaries, Classroom of the Elite, Danmachi, etc.
I am at a loss what I should read next, but I want some complexity and good story building. I am leaning Apothecary but there are so many potential titles to pick up I wanted to see if there were any up there in quality with the three LN I mentioned.
Conocen paginas donde leer y descargar novelas ligeras y novelas web ligeras?
I finished blood wound recently and I started the second installment, monster tale part 1, and I got to page 58 where it mentions hanekawa was “bewitched by a cat” and it’s like a half page section but it’s from left field. Like, I don’t understand why there isn’t any explanation of how/what happened and it seems so random. Did I miss something?
Hello! I just finished a very bittersweet novel and loved it! Hit the feels hard. Was looking for recommendations for other emotional romance novels but maybe with a little less bitter part and more on the happy side ending! I don’t mind an emotional rollercoaster or tear jerking, but would like a very feel good ending this time lol. Thank you!
I want to find the name of a novel that i read years ago. i think the story is an isekai, not sure, but i know that one of the main characters likes chocolate. they have complete trust in eachother.
There are actually two main characters a boy and a girl.
i dont remember much, but i remember that they figure out that they are in a world that isnt real or something and then they fight on a spaceship i think.
there was also a scene, where they had a party or a ceremony and there they figured out the truth about the world.
Hello, I loved the manhwa and have searched online but I can’t find a full Translation, only up to 180 approx, do you know any better ?
I watched 86 season 1 ep 12 and I decided I wanted to read the rest starting from the end of season 1 ep 12 in the anime or around that hat area, but I don’t know which volume to start from in the light novel. So if you guys could help me I would appreciate it.
English isn’t my strong suit sorry if it’s hard to understand.
Where the family of the reincarnee knows or finds out that the MC came from another world. Also the MC stays gender bent.
I already know of Fantasy Knockout.
Xample: In these stories where say the MC wakes up as the princess or witch or whatever they usually try to hide it but I would find hilarious if the family actually knew.
Like how would they react? Would the family kick the MC out of whatever house they are living in? Would they try to kill them? If they were reincarnated as a child would they just throw them on the street? Try to accept the fact that their daughter used to be a dude from another world? Be horrified? Orphanage?
It makes for a series with potential for either great drama or funny shenanigans.
I've recently gotten back into reading light novels and am obsessed with The Case Files of Jeweler Richard, Holmes of Kyoto, and Associate Professor Akira Takatsuki's Conjecture. In my opinion, these three series have been the most amazing books I've ever read... They are both educational and entertaining, and most importantly, are not fantasy-based. Is there anything else out there that can compare to these series? Or have I already gotten the cream of the crop?
I have been reading volume one, and I read that a Great Boar, is a C rank monster.
Now, that doesn't make sense to me, why would you add 9 levels, from S-H, if 20 random serfs can Hunt down a C rank monster?
Either the monsters are all just extremely weak in this world, or the gap between C and B is insanely large. And if that is the case, then why are the lower levels of the bestiary being wasted on like birds and frogs. The balance seems bad.
Am I overthinking this? Are C ranks stronger than 20 serfs?
Hey, everyone!
Light novels have been something of a curiosity for me over the last few years, as I feel like light novels in general are a pretty easy way to wind down an evening or turn the brain off for a little bit. I've read only a couple so far, and mostly of the isekai variety.
I'm mostly interested right now in trying to get into the wealth of titles as more of a survey, and I was hoping someone could help direct me to some of the most influential titles of past and present.
Does anyone have some suggestions of "staples" of various genres of light novel? For example, what would be the most influential or important isekai fantasy? What are some of the pioneers in the form that became popularized in the U.S.? Is there a particular genre taking off right now that you think a new reader should sample? Are there any standout favorites that got you into light novels in general?
If possible, please recommend stuff that can be found digitally (as in the e-book is still available for purchase) or that is still in print physically; I have a hard time getting to titles that are out of print or rarer on account of the cost of entry.
Thank you all in advance for your help!
There was a sequel novel to the wonderful Kuromukuro anime on Netflix, which I am shocked and disappointed to learn has never been released/translated into English. The novel was titled: "Kuromukuro: A Ghost at a Speed of 290,000 km per second".
Does anyone know of any plans for the novel to be translated in the future officially or as a fan project? Really hope so!!!

Kaga, with the hem of her beautiful kimono tied up with string and her sleeves rolled up, nodded her head vigorously as she tasted the soup she had made in the pot sitting on top of the stove.
「...... Right, so even if it is some new Royal Navy-exclusive ingredients that I have to work with, the basic way to make the soup is not that much different from the way of making Sakura Empire's miso soup. However, it's important to make the stock for miso soup, which may be troublesome for beginners to get a hold of properly. On the other hand, the Royal Navy has many convenient ingredients available for the cooks. And it goes without saying, but actually "learning the ingredients themselves" is a very important step in the cooking process on a daily basis...... Oh my, and speaking of which, it looks like the hot sandwiches are also about to be done.」
As she spoke those words, Kaga poured the soup she had just made into the plates in front of each person present. What she had made was "Ratatouille soup with lots of beans and potatoes" mixed into it.
Yes, it was without a shade of doubt a Royal Navy specialty dish.
The ingredients that Javelin had prepared for the sake of their training were mainly those used in the typical Royal Navy cuisine, so Kaga's soup was naturally that of Royal Navy's style. As for the Ratatouille, it was the kind of soup that was made with the use of both canned beans and tomatoes, which were especially popular ingredients among the Royal Navy's members.
In addition to that, Kaga placed another portion of round plates before everyone present, this time around with skillfully placed hot sandwiches on them, which happened to be just freshly taken out of the oven. The filling for the sandwiches also happened to be that of tuna and egg. Although it was a pretty standard filling, it was the kind of combination of ingredients that was vastly popular with many generations of people and shipgirls alike.
「Hooray! It looks so delicious! Hamuh~!」
「Ah......! M-Mutsuki, that's not fair......! I also wanted to......!」
Both Mutsuki and Kisaragi could not possibly resist the fragrant aroma that was wafting from both plates, and so they jumped onto the food right away and started to wolf it down without a moment of hesitation.
The Ratatouille soup was made with plenty of potatoes, which little children especially loved, and the spiciness of the soup was also slightly subdued, making it a flavor that adults could fully enjoy as well, while also being considerate of children whose palates were not yet fully matured and developed.
On the other hand, the hot sandwiches were the kind of combination that packed quite a bit of a punch. The tuna sandwich had cheese in it, and the cheese melted in the heat of the toasted bread and would spread a wonderfully fragrant aroma throughout the entire room.
And the egg sandwich would come together with a mini hamburger inside of it. This was a frozen food that Javelin had prepared for the lunch boxes, but Kaga showed off her creative side by using it and incorporating it into hot sandwiches instead of placing it on its own.
「Well, I guess that's just Kaga-san for you all...... But I must say, I would never expect you to know how to handle the food from the factions other than Sakura Empire. I'm really impressed.」
「I just had to learn how to adjust my cooking to many different cuisines when I assumed the duties of the Secretary Ship, because there are kids from other factions serving in this Home Port as well...... The Eagle Union kids like hamburgers and hot dogs, the Royal Navy kids like fish and chips and sandwiches, right? The Sakura Empire kids will eat pretty much anything that is tasty, but the kids from other factions can be surprisingly picky eaters......」
Kaga muttered those words more to herself rather than to anyone in particular, a particularly pained and troubled expression painted over her face.
Kaga would often serve various snacks to the little Destroyers who had just returned from their commissions and escort missions.
When it comes to food, there are no such things as barriers that would normally be present between the members of various factions. And if you want to feed hungry, growing children what they like, it would be problematic to only make the same kind of Sakura Empire cuisine all the time.
「Muuh, yes. Just as expected of Kaga-san......」
Ayanami was also deeply impressed by the sheer scope of Kaga's culinary skills. And what was even more impressive than that, was the sheer speed at which she managed to prepare those dishes. Every single one of her actions and moves was smooth and efficient, as if she was gracefully gliding towards the goal line that was already visible in the distance.
There is a saying that the first ones to make their move win, and when Kaga also said that in cooking it was important to learn "when and how you can cut certain corners", Ayanami was now completely convinced that her words were actually quite true.
In fact, Ayanami had a thought that cooking meals that were this elaborate every single day had to be really exhausting and rather hard.
It was true that everyone in the Home Port was a shipgirl, and their main purpose was to fight. If they were to neglect that fact, it would be counterproductive to their very nature and purpose, but if they were to cut corners too much, there would be no point in going to the trouble of cooking for themselves at all. Therefore, Kaga's cooking style seemed to match Ayanami's ideals very well in that regard.
「A-Awawawawah...... M-My plans! My perfect plans......!」
At the same time, Ayanami could clearly notice that Javelin right next to her was cradling her head in her hands in a fit of panic.
It seems that not only Ayanami and the others were shocked and amazed by Kaga's cooking skills, but also Javelin, who already had some cooking experience behind her belt.
In the end, Javelin munched down the food that Kaga had made with a look of a dead fish in her eyes, occasionally letting out sounds like "Oh wow~." or "It's so delicious~." as she savored the food with every bite.
「Ah......」
Javelin, noticing Ayanami's curious gaze, let out a deep and long sigh with a gloomy expression on her face.
「............ Ayanami-chan, surely you would want Kaga-san to teach you how to cook after a demonstration like that, huh?」
「Huh?」
「I mean, Kaga-san can cook perfectly delicious Royal Navy cuisine, and she can cook for many different people from many different factions as well...... Meanwhile, the only thing that I have confidence in is the simple Royal Navy-style boxed lunch...... Uuuuuuhhhhhh~!!!」
「Javelin......」
Seeing her dear friend's expression becoming more and more blank, Ayanami's heart throbbed softly inside of her chest. Then the words started to flow out naturally from her mouth, and Ayanami spoke them all in one breath:
「But Ayanami wants Javelin to teach me how to cook.」
「Huh......」
Javelin, who had been looking down this entire time, raised her head as if she had been suddenly revived.
Ayanami then continued speaking.
「Kaga-san's cooking surely is amazing and wonderful, but I still think that you are the only one who can teach me properly how to cook, Javelin...... Yes, you are the only one who can do this. Because, Javelin is the only one who knows Ayanami the best, better than anyone else. So if I were to ever ask someone to do this, Javelin would still be the best and the only choice for me......」
Those words Ayanami spoke right from the inside of her heart.
Ayanami, Javelin, Laffey and Z23 were the four Destroyers who happened to share a special kind of relationship with one another. Up until now, and even after she would marry the Commander, Ayanami wanted to spend some irreplaceable time together as friends and comrades in arms with the other three.
Javelin, who understood Ayanami the best, would surely be able to teach her how to cook in the best way possible, even though she had no experience in the cuisines of other factions and could not cook as elaborate of dishes as Kaga did. Of that, Ayanami was sure.
Or rather, it simply HAD to be Javelin for her. Ayanami truly thought that from the bottom of her heart. That was the true extent of strong convictions and trust that Ayanami was putting in her good old friend Javelin for the moment and ------
「Ahh...... A-Ayanami-chan! T-Thank you, so very much! I-I will do my very best to teach you how to cook the most delicious meal, Ayanami-chan! Let's do our best to make a lunch box that will make the Commander happy!」
Javelin opened her eyes wide, nodded her head vigorously, and with a shining smile on her lips she raised her right arm high into the air with her fist clenched tightly.
「I'm counting on you...... desu.」
「Yup! Just leave it to me!」
「...... Hmm, I see. Well, this looks like something in which we cannot allow ourselves to lose at, either.」
Kaga relaxed her chin as she watched the exchange between Ayanami and Javelin. Then he turned her attention to Shoho, who was still munching on the hot sandwich Kaga had made with much relish and reverence, and then said,
「...... Are you listening to me, Shoho?」
「Hm? Y-Yeah?」
Shoho, suddenly asked something like that, raised her head, seemingly not knowing what it was all about.
Kaga then let out a long and deep sigh.
「I swear, the likes of you are just...... What's the point of you stuffing your face with food so much? In just a moment, it will be your turn to show everyone what you are made of in the kitchen...... Do you understand? When it comes to cooking, it can be strikingly similar to the battlefield, in the sense that only the strongest ones can emerge victorious. As a matter of fact, both you and Ayanami are complete amatours when it comes to cooking, and I am certainly not going to forgive you if you end up losing to her today. Do I make myself clear here?」
「S-So cruel and unreasonable!? Comparing cooking to battle and putting the equal sign between the two...... Only you could actually come up with a flawed logic like that, Kaga-san!」
「Whatever, just go out there and do it. And just so you know, I won't accept any complaints coming from you.」
「N-No way......!!」
「Mutsuki is going to give it her best, too! So, cooking is also a battlefield, right!?」
「K-Kisaragi, too...... I will give it my best to cook......」
「...... Fufufu. Of course, I haven't forgotten about you two. It seems like they are trying to make a bento lunch box, so we will follow suit. Let's start with how to wash the rice properly......」
And thus, the curtain was raised on what was now basically a small time cooking contest.
As for its results, it was ------
One hour later.
「I'm done...... desu.」
「W-We are also done over here!」
At the same time, Ayanami and Shoho finished their bento lunch boxes. Then they looked at each other's bentos, checking the workmanship of their opponent as if they were trying to size them up. And then......
「W-What the heck is this!? Why is your bento box not looking all that appetizing to begin with, Ayanami!?」
「As for Shoho's bento...... It's a complete and utter mess.」
----- They have both confirmed that the other's bento was, well, not really something that was that praiseworthy to begin with.
Both Javelin and Kaga, who were the instructors for the two of them, had their arms folded on their chests, and both of them looked extremely bitter. They both seem to be thinking: "It wasn't supposed to turn out like this, so why!?"
「Ayanami...... It's awfully bold of you to dare to make such a bento box...... But is this even worthy of being called a bento box now? It's an indescribable bento box that surely makes the gal who happened to make it look all cute and adorable, albeit in an entirely different way here......」
It was Shoho who tried to somehow deescalate the situation here.
However, Ayanami immediately retorted back at her, perhaps not being too fond of the honest criticism.
「I don't want to be told something like this by the likes of Shoho, who has no sense of style at all. After all, there's no way that Ayanami's bento box is not delicious, even though it may lack in presentation. After all, this is a very practical bento box that combines both the good and delicious elements of the Royal Navy's "Royal Gourmet" dish with the simplicity of the Naval Curry......」
「Royal Gourmet cuisine...... So is it supposed to be a "Stargazing Pie"? It is true that it does not taste bad, and all of the valuable nutritional elements are clearly there from the start. However......」
「Yes, that's right...... As far as the presentation goes...... It looks bad. Like, really bad......」
Both Kaga and Javelin said after a moment of careful and silent deliberation.
Ayanami's biggest problem here was her overly practical way of thinking.
Royal Gourmet was the kind of a rare dish that was only occasionally available at the Home Port's store, and consisted of high-class ingredients that required a copious amount of diamonds to obtain legitimately. However, its appearance was simply way too bizarre. It was a pie with many whole herrings stuck into it, and even if you knew that it had wonderful effects, the dish itself had an appearance that made you want to refuse to eat it.
But even though she knew all that, Ayanami chose to go through with this dish anyway.
There were other ingredients that could be used in its creation, such as hamburger steak, baked beans, meatloaf, fish and chips, yam, potato salad......
But Ayanami did not choose them. She elegantly ignored Javelin's whining and made a bento box mainly with the Royal Navy's ingredients gourmet food.
And to top it all off, she decided to pour curry all over it.
Why was that?
「But I must say, this bento is really amazing. Just eating it gives me strength. I'm sure...... I'm sure that the Commander will be happy to eat it......」
「「.........」」
Javelin and Kaga thought for a moment.
The Commander would definitely be happy...... but with a more normal-looking and normal-tasting lunch.
「When it comes to Shoho, she is certainly clumsy, or maybe it's just a case of her lack of experience, but when it comes to you, Ayanami, you might be a little bit too practical for your own good.」
Kaga groaned slightly.
「Is that so...... desu?」
「Yeah. But the way this dish is, it is simply not good...... If my Dear Sister saw me trying to feed this to the Commander, I would be in some real trouble ------」
「Dear Sister......」
「Ngh......」
Kaga seemed taken aback when she mentioned her sister Akagi. Then, after a few seconds of silence she said, clearly choosing her words carefully.
「Forget what I just said. I guess that we all have our own unique circumstances......」
「...... I see.」
「Anyways, Ayanami, if you want to give that lunch box to the Commander, you should raise your standards a little bit more. But ultimately, the decision is yours to make ------ And Javelin. Make sure that her cooking is going to be up to standards.」
「Y-Yes......!」
Having been called by name so suddenly, Javelin quickly saluted with a needlessly respectful look on her face. Kaga nodded her head slightly in response, then looked at Shoho's and Ayanami's bentos again and sighed deeply.
And then ------ she shifted her gaze to the two bento boxes that were placed right next to Ayanami and Shoho's.
「Mutsuki's bento box...... In a certain sense, it looks really delicious.」
「Yup! And that is because, I made sure to include SOOOOOOOOOOO~~~~~~ much candy, as much as I could put in there! And there are also many different kinds in there, from all over the place, so each and every single one of them is going to be delicious! Ehehe!」
As she spoke those words, Mutsuki puffed out her perfectly flat chest with much confidence.
It was something that was both unbelievable and completely believable since it was Mutsuki who did this ------ her bento box was filled to the brim entirely with candy, which in a sense made her "lunch box" transform into a "candy box" instead.
However, it was also important to note that Mutsuki seemed to have her very own sense of ingenuity when going for this arrangement.
She would usually like and preferred candy sticks, but it seemed that this time around she brought several loose candies wrapped in wrapping papers for the boxed lunch. In fact, the sight of countless colorful candies lined up in a cramped lunch box was very eye-catching in and out of itself. It would be problematic to eat all of this for a single lunch, but it would definitely bring a smile to the face of anyone who would open the lid of the lunch box and witness its contents.
「Umu. I am sure that the Commander would be more than happy if you were to give this lunch box to him. Well, if you were to ask me if this really counts as a boxed lunch, I would have a hard time to give you a definitive answer, but...... I guess I can give it a passing grade. Ayanami, Shoho, and Mutsuki, listen up. A proper bento box usually means something like the kind of set that Kisaragi just made. Go and have a closer look if you would like.」
Then, Kaga was finally ready to talk about the last bento, which was Kisaragi's. Having received such compliments as "making a proper bento, even above the one that your elders have made," Kisaragi timidly asked back in disbelief:
「Hueh...... Kisaragi's boxed lunch...... Did it come out that good?」
「Yes, that's right. It seems that out of the four people who made the bento this time around, it is you, Kisaragi, who has the most cooking talent. This is actually amazing.」
「HUEEEHHH!?」
Kisaragi's entire body shook in shock and her eyes opened up wide as she looked down at the bento she had made.
If making a bento box represented the rank of the person who was making it, then it could be confidently said that it was rare to find a maker of bento boxes more suitable for a bride than the one that Kisaragi had made.
The small light blue lunch box was packed to the brim with various side dishes, carefully placed and selected with great care. The vegetables were also included, which made a particularly good impression, and the fresh greens and cherry tomatoes added color to the overall composition of the entire box. The meat used for the box was sausage and fried fish. On top of the rice there was even a cute pink cat image made from a cut-out piece of ham.
In a sense, it was the kind of a boxed lunch that perfectly reflected Kisaragi's personality as a whole.
「Mutsuki's bento box is fine the way it is, but Ayanami and Shoho's are absolutely out of the question. You should follow Kisaragi's example and practice your cooking some more. You see, cooking is one of the few hobbies of women in the Sakura Empire. If you can't even make a bento box properly, you will end up embarrassing yourselves later on, so you need to be really careful about that.」
「Ngh......!」
「A-Ayanami-chan...... F-From now on, let's keep on practicing, so that you can improve your cooking skills more and more! Alright? I will help you every step of the way!」
「...... Yes, desu.」
Ayanami ended up deeply shocked by Kaga's words that summarized this particular "Bridal Training".
Although Javelin did her absolute best to try and comfort her...... In fact, the bento box that Ayanami made was a close match against Shoho, a complete defeat against Kisaragi, and was harshly criticized by Kaga when compared to that of Mutsuki.
------ Could it be that she was missing something here?
Ayanami was sure that she had made the bento box that would please the Commander the most.
But right now, when she would think about how the Commander would react when he would see this "Royal-Style Gourmet Curry Bento Box"...... All that she could imagine was the image of the Commander smiling wryly rather than being happy.
It seems that there was a big gap between Ayanami's vision of the ideal bento and the public's reaction to that image.
「(But if that's the case here, then I need to work extra hard to correct that image...... desu!)」
In order to normalize a trained aim, it was necessary to correct errors by repeating test firings. Ayanami was sure that cooking was no different if you were to get down to it. By repeating the same processes, Ayanami's aim must be optimized and she must train to strike the target with the most accurate shot possible.
And in order to accomplish that, all that she could do was practice more and more.
Ayanami was going to be married to the Commander.
And in order to achieve this, and her own happiness ------ she intended to spare no amount of effort.
***
And thus, there was a fire that was lit inside of Ayanami's heart.
Up until now, Ayanami has been a far cry from a plain and normal person, spending her time fighting the battles at the sea and playing video games in her spare time, but she has changed.
Under Javelin's guidance, she started to study cooking every day. All of this was so that she could please her precious Commander, but Ayanami was a girl who was quite different from normal ones.
Because Ayanami was extremely easily influenced, and was too pure and earnest for her own good.
And so, what that meant was ------
「Javelin, why don't we try and make some lunch boxes and bring them to the Commander?」
「...... Ayanami-chan. It's really hard for me to say this, but...... Maybe we should take a break from trying to make the lunch boxes for today......?」
「But why?」
「Why, you ask? I think it's really amazing that your cooking skills have improved so much in such a short amount of time, Ayanami-chan, and that you can now make bento boxes that look and feel really good. The Commander was also very happy when we first brought him the bento boxes. But......」
Javelin spoke up, her eyes wide opened and her voice slightly panicked.
「Isn't it simply too much to deliver lunch boxes to the Commander three times a day for every single meal every day!? Moreover, your cooking has improved so much that your dishes are simply amazing, Ayanami-chan! But if the Commander had to eat a full-course meal for every meal, he would soon get sick and had to be sent to the hospital! And this goes especially true since the Commander never leaves a single grain of rice behind whenever you bring him your boxed lunch for him to eat!」
Ayanami's cooking skills have improved rapidly, and now she has acquired the skills to make "full-course meals" basically from scratch.
------ That is why it could be said that a tragedy has occurred.
Normally, a man and woman who have pledged their futures together to one another eating homemade food for every meal was a sight that was nothing short of pure happiness and bliss. However, when Ayanami put all her effort into making the best food for every single meal and the Commander ate it, the picture that was being painted here was quite different.
Truth is, the Commander's body was rapidly approaching its limits.
Ayanami's cooking and the feelings behind it was so heavy that it even affected her normal routine and the Commander's duties. However, Ayanami was just a little too pure, and the Commander who loved her too much, could not know any better.
That was all there was to it.
「I see, I understand...... But it's a little bit disappointing......」
Thus, in order to protect the Commander's health from deteriorating any further, a limit was imposed on Ayanami bringing in food only once a day.
I remember reading a novel back in the day but forgot the name and didnt find it again. I remember it being a reincarnation into the same universe in the future. The Main character was the emperor and wad betrayed by his cousin or something (maybe it was his right hand man). He had a wife who still remebered him aftet he reincarnated after like 30 years ( kinda hazy on that timeline ). Any help would be appreciated.
Hello. My first introduction to this LN is the manga and I've greatly enjoyed it. Is this an LN worth buying? I'm looking for something to read but I don't have a lot of money right now so I wanted other readers opinions on buying a few LN volumes.
Also, it's been bugging me in the anime, but is the official translation for the name actually Dolan? Because I don't remember Japanese having a vowel equivalent to L in their vocabulary. It sounds like Doran or Dran to me.
I wanna read LNs but i don't know what to read first
I've watched the anime and loved it and I am thinking about reading the light novel for it but I heard that the translation isn't good is that true?
If the translation isn't good , is there any good fan translations ?
I really liked the series and I want to experience the light novel in the best way possible
I'm new to buying LightNovels and am in the process of buying the "Rokujouma no Shinryakusha" collector's edition LNs. The publication of the latest collector's edition was in 2022. (Not sure if this is OOP or not. No mention of this on JNovelClub's site)
Am in the US.
I've bought some of the novels from Crunchyroll and wasn't particularly satisfied with the packaging. 4 books came in a cardbox with only packing paper on ONE side. 3/4 books came with no shrink wrap. I've also ordered one volume from Amazon and while the packaging was okay, it had some cosmetic damage (creases, stains on cover, scraches).
Their official distributors excluding the above are:
Some sites I've also found the series on:
Optimally, I would want a shrink-wrapped book having never been opened. Am I expecting too much? If ya'll have experience with the above distributors, could you share your experience with them?
I first watched the anime more than 10 years ago and I'm surprised to see the LN for this series is still running as of now. How come? What has allowed it to remain on for so long?
I've been reading a lot of LNs lately. They obviously feature a lot of pop culture, where the MC often compares things to books and movies and other similar experiences. Most of the time when they make the reference it's sounds like "this is like that anime about the ninja with the clones" or "it reminded me of that book about that ring that needed to get destroyed". I was wondering if they're not allowed to just make references? since I think media in the US and around the world can basically reference anything as long as it's very well known.
I do sometimes see instances where they do actually name what they reference. I'm not really sure why be selective about who's allowed to say "Naruto" and who's supposed to say "like that anime ninja with the clones". Isn't it good publicity in general as long as the LN doesn't stray into the R-rated territory?
Not asking where to get a series like Grimoire of Zero in case it’s illegal, but rather I just wished there was a way to send the novels into my Kindle tablet because I really enjoy reading on the go, but I cannir find a method for reading the Zero books directly onto one.
Would anyone else here be interested in a subscription service that automatically ships you new volumes of whatever light novel series you're subscribed to as they're released?
This sort of thing exists for comic books, and many comic book shops now do it for manga too, but I haven't found anything like it for light novels yet.
