I’ve tried researching and haven’t gotten a definitive answer, some answers have ranged from ACHA D2 all the way to the ECHL which is a huge skill spread if true
Is it just me or does anybody else find it strange that Hyundai-Kia does not sponsor any hockey teams in Korea? For anybody that watches NHL they'll know that Hyundai is a major sponsor – every second commercial during games is for Hyundai cars. So what do they have to lose? Sponsorship of a hockey team in Korea wouldn't cost them very much money at all. And it would just increase their exposure even more – even if they don’t necessarily need more exposure in Korea.
I would say HL Anyang has been a smashing success. Their games sell out every time. They’ve done an awful lot for HL Corporation, which has been a lesser known Chaebol.
If Hyundai-Kia really want to get behind hockey, they'll do it in their own country. Time to bring back the Killer Whales or High-One, give them a re-branding and set them up in Mokdong. Who's with me on this?
With the announcement of the IJ League with teams from Tokyo, Nagoya, Yokohama and China. Will this help the growth of hockey in Japan or hurt it in the long run with having two professional leagues now in Japan.
Hey folks - if all goes according to plan, I'll be visiting Japan toward the end of March and thought it'd be cool to pick up a Yokohama Grits jersey in person as a souvenir. Do they only sell them at their games?
I'll be traveling around Tokyo, Nagoya, and Gunma while I'm there so any recommendations for hockey memorabilia shops would be greatly appreciated (I know the market might be a bit low supply)! Would love to snag a Japan National Team IIHF jersey too haha

Anyang took the lead, but Eagles turned the tables with sharp attacks. It was a surprisingly entertaining game, and today's match is also highly anticipated.
Do you know where to watch matches live???
Anyone know if you can buy beer during the games in Yokohama? Don't want to pre-game and then be out of luck inside the barn.
Hello everyone! I’m going to be traveling to Seoul this weekend and would love to pick up a South Korea National Team or Anyang Halla jersey while I’m there. Does anyone know of any places that I might be able to buy a jersey? There are no home Anyang Halla games this weekend so I don’t know if their ice rink will be selling jerseys or not. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Asia League will start on 9/16.
Thank you for free highlight. -_-;;;
I will be in Japan for a couple of weeks. Looking at our itinerary, it doesn't seem like we'll be anywhere near any of the home towns of most of the teams. (Will mostly be in the Kyoto and Tokyo area)
Are there any stores or places that would sell merchandise in general for ALIH teams? Looking at teams past/present jerseys, t-shirts, hats, or other potential items to look over.
I know there's some stuff online, but would like to know any potential physical stores that would carry the merch.
Thanks in advance!
The Kushiro-based ice hockey team "Higashi Hokkaido Cranes" has decided not to sign a contract for next season due to unpaid salaries of all players and managers, and will participate in the Asian League with a new team.
Higashi Hokkaido Cranes has been experiencing unpaid salaries since December last year, due to frequent delays in player salaries and payments to business partners due to a decrease in income due to the effects of the new corona. In response to this situation, director Tsuyoshi Saito submitted a petition to the Kushiro Ice Hockey Federation on the 2nd. As a result, all 18 players, managers, and coaches have decided to leave without signing a contract for next season and move to a newly established team due to repeated salary delays. The new team is based in Kushiro City and is considering the name "Hokkaido Wilds", and will seek to participate in the Asian League with a new team from the next season, which will start this fall. In an interview with NHK, Saito said, "I've seen players desperately playing without being paid their salaries, but if this situation continues, we won't be able to become the top team that children aspire to. Kushiro won't put out the fire of ice hockey. I moved for it," he said.
Does anybody know the rule for the location of final games? e.g.) 1st, 2nd, 3rd games: 1-4 winner's home 4th, 5th games: 2-3 winner's home
Great saves by Dalton changed the score from 3:5 to 3:2. He did great job.
Both teams are in good condition. I'm expecting today's game also.
Anyone know if a online store that sells 'official' jerseys. I mean the style of jerseys the players where onbthe ice not the replica jerseys with just a logo. Im specifically looking for an Anyang Halla jersey but im interested i others.
On the sports makes high quality highlights. How about AL hire On The Sports for all games.
I was expecting to unified channel for all games and the dream come true. But I never even dreamed of paying for it. It's not the time to make money, isn't it a time to get more fans?
