The travel distance is not much greater than other cities in the eastern conference, and the city has a strong hockey culture. Not to mention having America present would create a ton of drama and revenue.
does anyone know if neck guards are required? Additionally, any specific/official reference to the mandate/lack of mandate? has been challenging to obtain this info
Just Wondering if Kunlun will be going back to China for the 24/25 Season or remaining in Russia?
Is there another subreddit for KHL, or have users left because of war? Sad.
Hello, I am new to the KHL and a longtime NHL fan. I am interested in getting more into the KHL. Right now I like Metallurg Magnitogorsk, mainly because I think their name is awesome. What are some good sources to learn more about the teams, such as their history, team culture, fan culture, etc? I do not speak Russian, so any sources that are either in English or German would be appreciated. What team do you all support?
I have exery streaming service and VPN under the sun. GPT keeps directing me to DAZN or portable.TV. portable.TV doesn't seem to exist anymore. I haven't ever seen KHL on DAZN and there is no current info on it. Thanks in advance!
Mine is SKA, since I think Saint Petersburg is a beautiful city and because their uniforms look a lot like the NY Rangers uniforms, which is my favorite NHL team. Also Shestyorkin used to play for them.
Just curious what happened to him as he terminated his contract in 2021 and hasn’t played since.
Noticed this on a highlight of Radulov this morning. Seemed like an interesting choice. Thanks!
Really want to watch SKA.
Not sure if this is the right place to ask, as I know the KHL didn't exist until 2008.
Anyone know what youth and amateur hockey was like in the Soviet Union?
I know Googling, you will find hundreds of articles of the Soviet National Hockey Team and the Red Army team. There's quite a few documentary's on YouTube about them, mostly about the 1980 Olympics and the 70s Summit Series and Super Series.
But what I want to know is what was hockey like for the average Russian or Soviet citizen growing up during the years of the Iron Curtain? What ages did everyone start playing? What gear did they use? What were youth hockey leagues like? Did beer leagues exist for workers?
That's what I would want to know. Does anyone know anything or can point me in the right direction?
With the Beijing Olympics now behind us, what is the future of Kunlun? The uncertainty of the pandemic continues meaning home games in China could still be a while away. Without home games and no national tram development to aim for what exactly will the goal of Kunlun be?
any good teams to watch?
A web search refer me DAZN but there is no section for hockey and the search bar doesn't return anything for KHL.
I'm treating myself to a Sibir jersey because I've wanted one forever. I haven't been following the team beyond googling the standings every once in a while, maybe with the ESPN+ deal that will change. But for now, I'm open to suggestions. I like scrappy defensemen and goalies, but can be sold on a flashy scorer. Pitch me your fave Sibir player!
Hey all,
I will be in Moscow in January and was planning to attend a KHL game whilst I'm there. I have a couple of questions in which I hope someone could help me with.
How far in advance do tickets usually become available to buy for a game?
Are the tickets physical tickets or is it all online?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Hey everyone,
I'm an American and really want to get into the KHL more, but not sure how to go about watching their games. I am usually up really early so the time change isn't such a big deal but just don't know how to find them. I saw a few older posts about this from years ago and not sure if there are any easier/better ways now?
Still have to figure out who my team is but that's another matter...
Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks in advance
Is there any chance we'll see Dinamo Minsk qualify for the playoffs next season?
