I’ve noticed that the trigger pull in AK’s are always lighter and smoother than even the more expensive AR lowers I’ve had. This has become a really big deal to me and it’s the reason I won’t get AR’s anymore. They just feel awful to shoot compared to the cheapest AK.

I know it’s not a competition but I don’t understand why more people don’t talk about this. Every AR I’ve had had what feels like the triggers that are in spring powered air soft guns. I know I should get a gazelle trigger or a CMC trigger to see how it feels but it’s hard for me to justify spending more money on a gun I don’t like just to see if shoots like the guns I already like to shoot.

This is a newer 104. It went 500 rounds with the new AAC polycoating and another 100 of the Red Army Standard X39 no issues. I then shot some Bulgarian Surplus in about 40 rounds what I believe is primer backings filled up the firing pin housing and was producing light strikes and then eventually no strikes. Is this likely the result of overpowering/bad primers or is this something related to the bolt/BCG?

What is your favorite headspace gauge style and brand? PTG GO NO GO seems like the way to go (but expensive AF) and wanted to get your opinions.
