Is this normal behavior?
Hey this my first AK and I just want make sure it's okay. So my bolt carrier gets locked in mid position quite easy like an AR if I don't "let him go" from the end position. It looks like the piston blocks it at the beginn of the gas tube. What do you think?

Picked up a wasr10 and some extras for 1200, 918 rds of 7.62x39 in total…I guess the guy custom finished the furniture(a plus as I intend on keeping but will ultimately upgrade to Alpha Midwest Industries line)

Would a WBP polish bolt carrier body 7.62x39 be compatible with my Riley defense?
Hi good evening, new to the group I’m aware some people are not fans of the Riley defense but it was my first rifle. Big fan of Rob on AK operators and the ak files. So far with my firearm I’ve purchased and installed the 10” mlock hand guard by midwest, Harris 6-9” bipod, midwest side scope mount with a trijicon acog, alg recoil spring, magpul collapsable/foldable butt stock with .75 cheek riser and a 3 prong sure fire warcomp. I purchased a KNS piston and was looking to purchase a wbp polish bolt carrier body for the piston, would it be compatible with my Riley defense? Thank you for anyone’s input on any of this.

Brand spanking new to the AK world here. After shooting ARs for much of my adult life, I finally bought my first AK-47 last week and I was beyond impressed with it, and now I can’t stop watching AK vids for upgrades and what not.
Got a Zastava ZPAP M70.
Any recommendations for rail mounts and optics? How about slings?

CSS Saiga .308 handguard retainer with Zenitco sport 8
Anyone used the CSS hand guard retainer with Zenitco sport 8? Does it work? I’ve heard you need to grind down the sling loop. Anyone know of a normal hand guard retainer I could install the hard way? Thanks!!

How sketchy does this m70 front trunnion rivet look? Compared to the other rivers and my m85 rivets this one doesn’t look like it was completely squished down. Thanks.

K-var optimized scope mount
Anyone know if they still make that scope mount? I'm new to the AK scene, so I dont know what is and isn't in production. I'm looking to do a WBP Jack build and I like how simple the design is for that mount, and its rather iconic.
