Like the title says, this is the subreddit for all things parts kits. I'd like to keep the focus on AK's but other parts kits discussions are welcome. Let's talk about new kits coming in, origins, parts kits builds, etc.

How do you guys smooth delicate welds, that may have detail or markings close by? I want them to look good, or at least decent.
Selling my yugo m53 parts kit. It comes with a live 8mm barrel and 2 belts
I'm so unbelievably excited to build this thing, I've got a 2nd kit on the way with a better front trunnion and middle section for the reweld this one is donating the back and middle front sections to the reweld i still need to track down a barrel but it shouldn't be a very hard build at all. The Sa.26 really has so many interesting little features like the stripper clips guide, quick change barrel and self recessing charging handle. I love the cezch so much
Lately I’ve seen a shitload of Chinese knock off jigs for both pm63 and also Pps43 receivers on eBay and even Amazon. Have any of y’all had experience with this relatively new offering on the knockoff market? Decided to drop the $73 after shipping on a Pm63 jig from eBay and am curious to compare it’s quality/tolerances to any other jigs that y’all might have from other sources.
There are a lot of these G18 kits out there right now. Any thoughts on doing a semi conversion?
Hello everyone. I've begun the endeavor on an MP40 and am in need of a barrel. I understand that reproductions are available, but buying a complete unit like the provided picture would make the build significantly easier! If you have a lead on one I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!
Anyone picking up one of RTI bren mk2 kits ? Just curious if anyone has purchased any of their bren kits and have any feedback thanks
Picked up an mg42/59 parts kit. Thank god for Lay away. Lord help me and my finances......
Ah geezz it just isn't selling, maybe I can do 7.99 billon.... yes I know these were just recently 689 dollars but find me a cheaper one and I'll beat it they just aren't on the market
UJ: im getting really tired of seeing the cycle of a parts kit coming in and then as soon as they get sold someone posting a kit on here for a 2-400 mark up, buy kits you want to build and if you end up with a extra kit trade it for something you want or sell it at cost roughly plus shipping, don't try and make money flipping kits there's enough problems with the kit market already and this is a small damn community, 90% of builders can't do it alone and rely on parts support, build threads, and community knowledge. Take care of the community so it can take care of all of us, please.
I have a partial mk3 parts kit that someone gave me… I also have a barrel bushing and a handguard for a mk2 so I am thinking about putting it together as a mix of both.
I need a complete mkII magazine housing if anyone has a line on one or has one for sale.
Thanks in advance
Went out to test out my dp-28 but left the range without any bangs. Left cartridge was when I tested primer strikes without any gunpowder/bullet, right cartridge was several rounds I tried firing but no luck all light primer strikes.
Went home and tested one of the cartridges which had light primer strikes (but I pulled the bullet and poured out the powder.)and got a good primer strike. I don't get it, hows the powder/ bullet make the primer way harder?
Unissued Beretta MG42/59 parts kit in .308 (7.62x51). Just like the MG42 or M53 but built by the Italians under license from Rhinemettal in Germany. Very nice Bowman kit from a few years back. All of the receiver is there, with excellent and desirable clean cuts. The rails were removed prior to demil, making this an much easier and cleaner job to jig back together. DOES include the heavy bolt (brand new and beautifully proof marked). Lots of proof stamps. New and unissued chrome lined barrel with original German MG3 barrel collar installed and properly headspaced. German steel: CrMoV - GBQ "CMV" barrel. Also included is one belt, belt loader tool, cleaning accessories for belt loader. Complete kit in near-unimprovable shape. Price Drop: $4,500 shipped.

I've got a PPS 43 kit from Bowman. Came with the freedom machine fcg. I noticed on some earlier fcgs it had two holes to align it to the rivets locations. On this fcg there are no holes, no threaded bosses.
Before I dig in, any tips on how to locate it correctly within the receiver?
complete kit from Bowman $115 shipped
Just wanted to report that I got mine today at the $559 w/ 5 mags and I’m happy with it. Especially the mags. It was advertised as 1 good mag plus 4 rusty mags. Well, I got 4 good mags and one slightly rusty mag…the one rusty mag will probably clean up fine with steel wool, with most of the finish gone, and be functional. As much as these mags are worth, it’s a huge bonus for the price.
The kit is as you would expect, well used but not totally beat up…heavy patina. Anyway, I thought you all might like to know.
Pic related. I've been tinkering with my suomi kp 31 build and I fired 121 rounds this morning (1 drum load with 25 rds 124 gr. and 25 rds 115 gr. And 1 full drum if 115 gr.) with only 6 rounds failing to fire due to the striker failing to reset. I'm curious since striker fired conversions are notoriously finicky what you guys think is an acceptable success rate?
Has anybody bought the AA-52 parts kits from RTI? Are they worth buying from them, especially now that they are on sale for less than 1k on their site? That price is really good, but I know RTI is hit or miss and I don’t know much about their parts kit inventory quality.
Anyone got one they want to part with doesn't have to be pretty
