I have played Destiny 2 for an extremely long time, but over the past year I’ve fallen out of playing it due to how poor Bungie handles the game. I’ve been itching for a MMO since then and always been wondering if I should get into WOW. It looks super fun but didn’t know if it is one of those games you can just hop into by yourself. Hope you all have a good rest of your day!
Hey everyone,
I’m in a bit of a nightmare situation here and could really use some advice or just some moral support. My World of Warcraft account was recently banned until June 2025 for allegedly using bots or third-party automation software. The thing is, I’ve never used any bots, cheats, or anything that could give me an unfair advantage. I’ve always tried to play the game fairly and within Blizzard’s rules.
Here’s what happened:
Here’s the kicker: Since then, all of my communication has been with what seems like an AI. I haven’t spoken to a single human representative, and all responses seem like automated, generic replies. It’s been over 24 hours now, and I still haven’t received any meaningful feedback or a real response from Blizzard.
I’m honestly at my wit’s end. Blizzard isn’t providing any clear evidence or reasons behind the ban, and I feel like I’m just being brushed off. Has anyone here dealt with a similar situation, or do you have any advice on how to get Blizzard to re-evaluate my case? I’ve spent a lot of time on my account, and it feels incredibly unfair to be banned for something I didn’t do.
Any help or insights would be greatly appreciated!

I am a little too obsessed with transmog, and because of the trading post I now have 0 tenders. What was everyone's current amount of tenders, pre-December launch?
I have had tough times finding my favorite beasts around azeroth and beyond throughout the expacs but none I declared my bro till I found this duo in shadow lands. Sure they are both identical but common who doesn't want adorable cat raptors!
Thats Falah and Haru my Beast pair and me Eshbala, dancing for your amusement!
Share your Beast bros hunters!
I see way too many posts about "it would take 98 timed 8+ mythical to level my alt up". Like yea, there shouldn't be a catch up mechanic that completely devalues the hardwork everyone put in to get those crests.
By creating a catch up mechanic for gilded crests this earlier it would destroy the gratification that everyone achieved by pushing those keys.
Welcome to Midweek Mending, your weekly thread for everything related to trying to save people who just can't help but stand in the fire. You're the hero we need but don't deserve. There is class specific advice below, but you can also post general questions that you have pertaining to healing of any kind.
Check out pins within the Class Discords (Retail) or the Class Discords (Classic) for good, vetted information.
Title. It is all still obtainable. You can also still get PvP Elite appearances too from Dragonflight in TWW by clearing Heroic Aberrus/Amirdrassil and using the token you normally used to get from AOTC to buy the gear out of the respective tier vendor.
I had run Mythic Amirdrassil earlier and my buddy got the "Dragonflight Season 3 Hero" achievement with the Emerald Blossom Dreamstone off the kill even though he made his character around a week ago.
Looking into it deeper, I noticed that the Master + Hero Achievements require raid boss kills, but not killing those bosses in season (AOTC/Cutting Edge).
So yeah, go farm it all if you never got it last expansion, I guess the rewards were not seasonal. Seems like a massive oversight by Blizzard. Oh well.
Edit: I guess it's just Seasons 2 and 3. DF Season 1 did not have this reward structure yet.
Spiders and DMB saying kick gives me nightmares
Is there a lore reason as to why? I'm not privy on any of the lore so context would be greatly appreciated
In a LFR i had a fury warrior "tank" and i guess i was the off tank. No communication he just didnt tank swap.
I died. I said tank didnt taunt. He claims he did and said something about fury. I looked he was in fury. He got me killed and wiped the raid. Everyone assumed it wad me because the warrior was top of the dps. I get told i suck.
Its a pain the the ass that this guy just wants to get in lfr to frustrate others and pad his numbers.
Thats why people like delves. Some people cant even do the bare minimum of any social interaction. Im including myself because i wanted to cuss this guy out.
Just so yall know i didnt say anything negative i just said he isnt doing the swaps.
This is my alt. I dont tank and i just want to enjoying playing. My alt isnt geared and i dont care if its "just lfr" no reason to grief.
I haven’t seen this spoken about at all yet but I would LOVE to see a Pet Mania event ran literally exactly the same as Mount Mania. Does anyone know if this will be an upcoming event ever or am I the only one interested?
Looking for people to play with who have no issues with women or queer people to do end game content with (all difficulties, m+ and raid) I’m new to Reddit so sorry if I’m posting wrong again lol, last time I was told I can post looking for new people to play with on Tuesdays.
Is this only a one time drop? I could have sworn this previously reset each week however the last couple of weeks this does not seem to drop from the last time walking boss. It does seem to drop if I run on a new character who has not previously completed this quest. Is this intended to be one time per character rather than weekly?
If the balance changes are going to be this weird then the alt catch-up system at least needs to be better so that we can swap characters easily. Otherwise, people just stop playing.
I had luck with Disc by playing it from the start of the season but imagine being a Warrior for example. You start strong, you are the king/queen, you are THE tank. You get to a decent m+ score and ilvl but you are motivated to keep pumping. Then the craziest balance changes come out and you are OUT of the meta.
Sad story but let's see the options here. Continue as Prot War despite the meta changing? Barely anyone invites you. You could change specs? Both Fury and Arms not getting any invites. You could switch to Pala Tank? Takes ages to grind all the Gilded Crests AND Valorstones, especially Valorstones. So the only reasonable thing to do after someone purposely wastes your time is to quit.
I wish we had some statistics to see how many players stopped playing after or close after those meta balance changes that we had a few weeks ago. Even recently, Mages got 20% buff and are still barely played. Survival was kinda okay for five minutes and got nerfed. Frost DK developer surely has something on the CEO of Blizzard since that spec is getting EVERYTHING.
So, if the balance changes are going to be this weird then the alt catch-up system at least needs to be better. If you already upgraded a slot on one character to a certain item level, then all your alts should have some sort of a discount for that slot. Reaching 639 in all slots is not going to happen until the last weeks of the season for the majority of people, if then even.
People quit the game because of this nonsense. It is bad for the player experience, it is bad for the player count and therefore it is bad for Blizzard's profit too. How is it not obvious?
I am a complete beginner at WoW. I will be playing the game on a steam deck. I would like help deciding to play classic or retail.
I want to mostly play wsg and think carrying the flag looks most fun, but druid just isn't appealing at all. Ideally the class would be easy to play, fewer skill bindings, and useful in WSG. I'm also fine with playing any level bracket.
My top choices are frost mage, rouge, and lvl 19 rouge twink. I would be open to any other ideas you might have. I'm also leaning retail as most of the comments I've read seem to think it's vastly superior. If I like multiple ideas, I'm also open to playing both classic and retail. What ideas do you have for me?
What are some zones you like best for leveling your alts and why?
For Horde and Alliance. I'm still a noob so please write which faction when answering.
Since there are zones for low level characters why do they push noobs towards time walking? To give them access to the lore?
To be honest I didn't know wth I was doing at first and boosted my character. It was definitely a mistake but I've learned from it and am now in the process of leveling up two alts, a void eld priest and a zandalari troll hunter. However, since I don't have steady flight (grr) I choose zones that have a lot of quests in one area.
But I'm flawed because I get bored easily lol so I sometimes jump around. I do like Ratchet because there's some good gear there and good XP. For my alliance I sent her to Dragon Isles because I'm already completely familiar with it but never did the initial campaign or Zaralek Caverns.
Over the years all my friends have quit and moved on. I play live off and on, always join a big guild (900+ people). Chat is usually very to the point and not "chatty". Groups go through content as quick as possible, never see people on comms although I'd like to. Where am I going wrong? Are people more interested in getting to know one another on an RP server (never done that), or Classic? Do I just need to find a better guild?
Has blizz massively buffed the drop rates for for the heavenly onyx cloud serpent and the other mounts for the anniversary world bosses? It dropped for me last night and there’s no way I’m that lucky.
I'm currently trying to do Legion Archeology to get the Surveying the Land achievement, but I cannot get any other dig sites than Highborn. Is there something that I am missing to unlock Highmountain Tauren arch?

I quit WoW 10+ years ago so aiming this at the old timers. No idea if this battleground even exists but feeling nostalgic. For me:
My rogue did a combo on a horde in panther mode with flag and saved the round.
Camped the horde graveyard with my twink bow during the xmas holidays when a lot of kids were on line. Absolute carnage lol.
Lots of other great memories.
Go easy on me it’s been so many years. No idea if the kids even know what twink gear and camping even means in 2024.
There’s not really a point to solo shuffle just trug through to get to 12 rounds for the weekly quest
Sometimes I just want to listen to youtube videos/podcasts while doing chill crest farms in Mythic plus. Problem is, there doesn't seem to be a way to mute Xal'atath constantly talking to you and I don't know why. I muted game sound and music. Checked the settings, everything is turned down to 0%, including voice audio. Nothing works. I still have to deal with her constantly spamming "Now...you learn the true lesson of the void!" over and OVER!
The only thing that seems to work is opening up the volume mixer in windows setting and hard deafening WoW as an application. But why is this case?
The Anniversary event announcer voice actor (specifically the dreanei Radovan who announces when Mount Mania starts) kindof sounds like Peter Jurasik's character from Babylon 5 (Londo Mollari). I was wondering if I was the only one or if it was confirmed who the voice was, since Dreanei also have a few lore parallels/references to Babylon 5.
Hi all, I’m a relatively new player and I’m currently doing a campaign with the quest “Lured and Allured” and I need to slay Legeia. But I cannot for the life of me do it. I’ve tried so many times. I’m level 40, feral Druid but I can’t deal enough damage to even get the health and halfway down. Am I missing something?
I am wondering what the state of retail is. I came back & gave classic a try but the fact you play one of 3/4 classes or get ignored is not what I want at this point in life.
So I am wondering how retail is? Is it possible to find a real guild where people get to know each other & socialize? Or is that long gone?
Also what is the state of class diversity for raiding / pvp balance?
I want to raid and do BG PvP. I checked some videos on YouTube but the few I found were smaller content creators who didn’t have many upvotes.
Mainly looking at
Holy Paladin, Dot Style Warlock, Mage, Enh/Ele/Resto Shaman, Holy Priest.
Are anything these in a great state or no? As a father working full days I don’t have time for multiple alts so I am looking at one main. I know gold is easily acquired via buying with token but one of my favorite things is farming gold for the thrill of it, a bonus would be if any of those classes fit in with current day gold farms.
Thanks for the feedback guys.
Side note: Are RP realms still popular? Figure that may be my best bet at getting that old school socialize / community vibe back.
