Are there any Addons that are like the old carbonite when it set a rout of all nods and all you had to do was follow your arrow nod to nod and rinse repeat
When prospecting this item you only ever get ambers.
Shouldn’t a maxed prospecting tree make it so that you get other gems instead of the ambers?
This would help balance the price of the handful of pebbles to the gems. Currently we are seeing enormous quantities of this item sitting on the AH, this would help balance their supply/destruction.
What are your opinions?

I was using the AH earlier, joined Chromie's event and suddenly couldn't scan auctions. Ported out to the anniversary grounds and when i click the auctioneer it would open the auction house, but then the mailbox and auctioneer would hop off and i'd get an internal error. I scanned and repaired my game files and the AH started working again. I just bruto'd up in the even grounds and the error is back. Anyone else having this issue?
Been thinking of setting up a skinning toon since I am kind of burned out on constantly gathering, but I don’t want to go through the trouble if these farms are no longer worth doing. I have my concentration army setup and making around 100k every 3 or so days so I’m not really hurting for gold, but I do want to find a farm that lets me feel like I am playing the game a little more then just flying around and right clicking nodes.
What can you do with scrap besides Scour Through Scrap?
It seem you can get a lot of scrap, mainly by destroying prototypes an so.
But all I got from Scour Through Scrao was some grey items, some parts, some tinkers and some potion bombs.
Am I wrong thinking that this doesnt seem profitable?
As stated above i did the weekly for crafting orders for Blacksmithing got the knowledge but there was just no quest for the acuity and im really confused. Its my first character with BS, others are with Alchemy but i do not know if alch is really that good, after all it needs so much knowledge ands its pretty expensive to up. Any advice would be helpful. TIA
Hello, i was wondering if there were any way see a list of how much gold i have earned from specific items on AH either in tsm or another addon?
i know i can go into the ledger > Revenue in tsm and see a list of my sales but they are shown as individual sales and i would like them to be lumped together to see the total earned instead. basically i would like to go from this
Bismuth 3 - 37g
Bismuth 3 - 35g
Bismuth 3 - 39g
Orbinid 3 - 133g
Orbinid 3 - 140g
to this
Bismuth 3 - 111g
Orbinid 3 - 273g
i know i can click on them individually and see the total, but that becomes quite bothersome in the long run when i just want to see which items are my biggest earners
Warning: this is math heavy. I was doing some test prospecting on PTR after the last week's changes to drop rates for gems and other mats. I set up two characters. One with no talents. One with:
Why these talents? The capstone for Gem Finding is additional Ambivalent Amber. I don't want that for testing (see below.) The capstone for the other 4 branches is "You now have a small chance at finding an additional gem of <gem specific to that tree> you (sic) uncover one from prospecting." I wanted to test the difference between having and not having that capstone.
Ok, so ignore the other reagents and focus on the gems. What do I get when prospecting thousands of Ironstone Ore rank-3?
Build | Amber | Emerald | Onyx | Ruby | Sapphire |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
No Talents | 26.7% | 0% | 15.3% | 15.3% | 0% |
Talents as above | 0% | 18% | 21.4% | 14.8% | 15.8% |
I should add to this data that when prospecting, untalented, you always get 0 or 1 gem of one of the 5 types. Never multiple. In the talented test above, for Emerald and Onyx, I sometimes (20% of the time) received 2 Emeralds and 2 Onyx. I never received 2 for Ruby or Sapphire.
Ok, so to explain this:
The explanation for 20% of the time receiving 2 Emeralds or 2 Onyx but never for Ruby or Sapphire tells me that the Capstone "small chance" is a 20% chance.
By taking 20/20 | 20/20 | 19/20 | 19/20 I should have a 25% | 25% | 24% | 24% chance (98% chance) of converting amber to those gem types, respectively. This seems to be true in terms of converting Amber as I did not receive any Amber gems (should have had a 2% chance but I can put that down to RNG).
However, note that I took 19/20 talents for Rubies but the chance of getting a Ruby didn't change (it went down 0.8% but I attribute that to RNG.) If 24% of the Ambivalent Amber was converted to Rubies it should have gone up 24% x 26.7% = 6.4%.
Now, I took 19/20 talents for Sapphires. Those 19 points give me a chance to receive Sapphires from Ironclaw Ore that I would not normally get (from the description "You now have a chance to acquire Sapphire when prospecting Ironclaw Ore.") From my testing, as you add more and more points it should bring this chance up to equal the native gems for that ore (i.e., the 15.3% that you get from Onyx and Ruby.) It did give me that at 15.8% (again, RNG from 15.3%). So it worked but nothing was converted from Ambivalent Ore.
I took 20/20 points for Emeralds. My chance there went to 18% which is higher than the Sapphire chance because of the capstone (20% chance to receive 2 Emeralds on a 15.3% base is an additional 3%.) Again, nothing from Ambivalent.
Onyx chance went from 15.3% to 21.4%. This is 6.1% higher than the untalented return which I cannot fully explain. Clearly the 20% capstone effect is there, accounting for 3% of that. The other 3.1% I guess could come from Amber conversion but that doesn't explain why I don't see it on Ruby because Amber conversion is not a capstone trait, it occurs all the way through. And a 3% increase does not cover the 6.4% chance I would expect.
TLDR; the Amber conversion to rare gems talent definitely reduces your chances of getting Amber gems. It does not give you a corresponding increase in rare gems.
Edit: the reason I didn't take the capstone 39/40 for Gem finding is that Blizzard explained in last week's change that this additional chance was now independent of the Conversion talents and this is true. So I wanted to eliminate the confusion of those extra Ambivalent Amber showing up from an unrelated talent.
Ok so I've now gotten to the point where this is only 1 thing left to learn from the well written notes. I remember someone saying not to learn that last invention but I don't remember why, and now I don't know what to do with all the loose notes I'm getting when I scour through srap for parts.

Are there now add-ons or something for this even if not widely known due to TOS issues?
For context I crafted all throughout DF, primarily making Lariats, rings and Torcs. Sometimes I'd get beaten to the punch if I wasnt paying attention to people in trade asking for a crafter.
In Tww however, I am always never even in the first 3 people to message. On top of that when I have posted on other toons that I am looking for a crafter for XYZ I get multiple messages near instantly. Some of these messages are 2-3 sentences long and I'm receiving them within 3 seconds of positing my request up in trade.
In short are there now ways, either within TOS or outside of TOS where people can somehow auto scan trade chat and automate sending a message? Because otherwise the speed of these replies is actually just ridiculous
Mostly just making this to see if anyone knows if any of the gathering stats contribute to scrap gathering. Ex: you can get scrap by mining, so does a finesse/percep mining tool also increase the scrap drops? If anyone has labbed this or knows the answer it would be greatly appreciated as it may influence what prof tools I craft on my engi.
As the title said, I’ve been mostly enjoying the game and leveling stuff but I’m not high end combat raider. I enjoy doing crafting, gathering material stuff in a lot of mmo i play. Been mostly leveling alts and I plan to get into professions slowly. My friend tells me that there’s no point in playing catchup with professions since I won’t make any decent profit and expansion hype is over. Is it true? Can you only farm gold only in the early part of an expansion? If not what should I work on if I wanna farm a steady amount of gold. Mind you I’m not talking about getting rich. I mostly just wanna make meaningful progress with professions while making a bit of profit along the way.
Siren isle is the new zone coming and it says "The island has three major caves sealed up. You can donate resources to excavation efforts to open these caves briefly." It would be nice if they made it cloth, leather, herbs and ore for the donations to get some out of circulation and hopefully up the prices. I don't think they will but heres to hoping!
Today, I've noticed a shift in herb prices—some Tier 2 herbs are now more expensive than Tier 1. Currently, I have a fully developed flask specialization, though I'm still 23 points short of being able to craft Alchemical Chaos Tier 3 without using concentration. Given the values of top 1,000 cheapest available herbs, I can't make any profit from crafting flasks; all of them show negative returns, despite having full blue gear, enchantments, and even factoring in the spillover buff.
This raises a question: for those with Alchemy and Herbalism, selling herbs currently seems more profitable than crafting flasks. So, if selling herbs is more profitable, why would it make sense to focus on flask production? And for people like me who only have Alchemy, crafting flasks doesn't appear worthwhile since even large batches yield no profit.
So why do we still see so many flasks on the market if players are losing money making them? I understand that some are leveling Alchemy or simply don't mind the loss, but shouldn't the flask supply decrease until the price aligns above the production cost?
Hello,
Is there a reason to to really upgrade cooking profession tools since skill doesn't really matter on these items? Do the increased stats like resourcefulness make up for the cost of the AA and tools? I feel like AA is so hard to come by that putting it towards other crafting professions is more important.
Thank you.
Oque voces acham?
It's going for 75k EU now, and will probably hit rock bottom by next week. It's dropping from the Forgotten Folios which were just added to end boss dungeons in M+.
I expect this will happen to everything contained in these folios just due to volume.
Hey everyone! I’ve got an Enchanting/Alchemy alt that I primarily use for goblin purposes, and I’ve already maxed out all the KP needed for full Disenchanting and full Thaumaturgy. Now I’m starting to build up a bunch of extra KP and wondering where I should invest it next. Since this character’s mainly here to generate gold, what’s the best next branch to put points into? Appreciate any advice on optimizing the extra KP for max profit—thanks in advance!
Is this regular? Does it go up? Is this the new price from now on? Why supply go up before reset day at half price? What is the goal? Is there goal? What happen?
It says I can craft t2 with t1 mats Without being a goblin.
So, I've been shuffling gathering professions as I get another crafter up and running. I'm currently on Herbalism, and I've done the quest, got all the other drops, and only have 71 catch-up drops left to go...
But the drop rate has plummeted. Of the last 3ish hours, I've only received about 4-5 drops, and today I went a whole 45-50 minutes before my first drop.
I think this is the 3rd profession I've done on this character (Already finished skinning and enchanting), and I did it with all of the gathering professions on my main already.
I don't suppose there's some sort of mechanic that reduces the drop rate if you're shuffling professions?
Edit: I wonder if it's different depending on what zone you're in or something. I was in Azj-Kahet earlier. I took a break and then switched to Isle of Dorn and got 18 drops in 30 minutes 😂
Title. I've recently had my fun with M+ tanking all the way up to 2600 IO (all completed 10s) and was looking to make some gold mainly for the bruto mount but also because I play other Blizzard games and could use the gold on the side.
I've looked around but I'm not sure on how i could get into the market on selling M+ or raid carries and was wondering if anyone knew a thing or two about where i could go or who I could talk to?
Thanks in advance!
Basically, the more gold generated, the more things trade goods are going to cost. In a world in which you stumble upon thousands of gold easily, even basic materials are going to cost tens of thousands.
With that in mind, it really seems to be that the amount of gold itself in the economy is, intentionally, going down. Raiding is perhaps the only usual activity that might be somewhat profitable for some people (those not actively pushing content) but besides that:
Mythic is very evidently a drain on gold. a successful run yields between 250 and 400 gold, even if you consider selling the loot, whereas the repair bill of the whole group is easily going to be in the thousands. A good chunk of players are doing these all the time, effectively destroying gold.
Passive income is gone
There are no reasonable pure gold farms. Any reasonable goldmaking method is based on getting gold from other players, which at best doesn't affect the amount of money and at worst reduces it (AH)
The only big chunks of gold you get are time-gated. Caches, raids and dailies are the biggest chunks of gold a player gets, but the first two are weekly and the dailies are, well, daily.
Anything valuable found out there is only valuable to other players. Which again, doesn't create money, it just moves it around.
Given this scenario, isn't it a given that long-term (say, through this whole expansion) the economy is going to deflate pretty hard? As more time passes, more people will find themselves low on gold and set themselves to further drain the economy, this is until the value of gold is such that direct yields of gold (mobs, selling) make sense for the economy, but even then repairs at the current price would probably become prohibitive.
The rational decision, then, would be to hoard gold.
I can craft T2 mats with T1 ones, as a DH ( so no gob / kul ), with these famous 2 missing points!
Am I the chosen one, or did they stealth changed something?
I've been playing around with TSM for a while now while leveling most professions to get a feel for the builds and markets. So far I've leveled BS to max, enchanting, inscription, tailoring and JC to about 80 and have caught up on most KP. I've used guides for builds or have carefully read ahead so as to not brick my build.
So far, every single recipe on my server costs more to craft than they sell for (including rank 3 so I don't think the skill is the issue), and the few exceptions that do have a profit margin don't sell after weeks of posting or get undercut immediately.
I'm really struggling to find out where I'm going wrong or what I could be doing differently. It seems the only thing that actually could net me any profit is selling raw gathering mats. I'd like to get to a point where I can craft something for a profit as it seems easier to scale, but I can't seem to find anything worth the time.
Any ideas or pointers would be much appreciated as I really don't know how to get started.
At this point in the expansion, the prices of Null Stones have dipped quite a bit, wanted to hear from y'all what you think is currently the best stat for mining, for the past few weeks I've been rocking perception, but heard from a few people that finesse is better ?
This made me get curious as to what the general goblin community thinks about it.
I basically ended up not playing much in DF, did SL then TWW so almost all my professions are non-existent. Is there a way to catch up on KP, if so how? Is there any Weak Aura like the TWW one that will point me at stuff? Once I have KP any recommendations on how to spend the points now vs how maybe I would have done it during the expansions activity?
Or is this a waste of time in terms of gold making but I could still do just for fun?
