W I N D O W S
The 2015 season was pretty awesome since we sucked and everyone just dicked around in the gdts
windows!
There are too many. I can't even begin to express, because I am not a writer. If I had to try, it would be the memory of me being home, being with dad again, with both of those so far away. Friends, beautiful friends that I had never met, without that meaning a thing, the distance. But the friendship meant everything to me. They loved like I loved, something I had left behind in 1995, rarely seen since. Bad years. 2016. All between and since, life. I once mentioned to a friend, a beautiful and kind and dear friend, that I wanted to write a eulogy for the tipi and gave it up, until this minute, when I just realized that is exactly what I AM writing, even if it isn't in red text. The tipi is my favorite memory, all by itself, because it brought me home. It brought my Dad back. It brought my girls to love the Tribe, and they do, I feel it. Just like I do, just like Dad did. Father to son, father to daughters.
The tipi gave me room in my closed off heart to express those things. Through stupid comments and alts. And helped me reconnect with Smitty. And Connect with friends. That I have never met. But I hope to. I meant it every time I said it, and I said it a lot. One last time. I love you all so, so much.
##The day has come...
A lot has happened in the nearly 8 years this sub has been active. We've grown from such humble beginnings to become a great place to celebrate, discuss, debate, and talk about all things Tribe baseball. We've celebrated many wins together and watched many losses. We've welcomed the beginning of the Terry Francona era of Indians baseball and watched our team get to the 2016 World Series. We've also suffered through the 2012 season. A lot has changed, but a lot has stayed the same. We are still a tight-knit community of passionate fans, whether we all agree or disagree. This wasn't an easy change to make, but it's one that the moderators knew was in the best interest of continuing to grow this sub into the best place to talk Indians baseball. We cherish the memories we've built here and will think longly of them in the days to come.
As of 2:00PM EST today, Feb 23rd 2019, this sub will be locked and turned into an archive for memories of tipi baseball past. We ask you join us at our new home, r/ClevelandIndians where we'll continue the traditions of the Tipi. Think of it like getting on a different school bus as a kid - all the kids on the bus are the same, you're just on a fancy new bus.
##RIP WAHOOSTIPI - 3/10/11 - 2/23/19 ###GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN
My girlfriend and I are considering heading down to spring training in Arizona for the first time during spring break and we were wondering if any of you guys that have been have some tips or recommendations? Thanks!
###Welcome to the start of the Farewell Festivities for r/WahoosTipi!
Over the next few days, we'll celebrate our favorite Tipi moments and memories in a series of posts leading up to February 23, the date this sub will be closed to posting and turned into an archive.
To kick things off, we're holding a vote on subreddit superlatives. Nominate the funniest user, best preseason prediction, best gif and more at this link. Results will be shared later this week!
I am new to reddit. Well, from a posting perspective, I mean.
I saw on Twitter that Everyone Hates Cleveland poached a couple Indians writers from a different blog. Hadn't heard of it before. It begged the question -- who are everyone's go-to blogs for Indians analysis during those long work days?
Hey Tribe fans, I made some wallpapers for my phone that have the monthly schedule for the 2019 season. A user (looks like they deleted their account so I can’t give proper credit) made these last year and inspired me to keep up the tradition for this year. Hope you can use them.
Imgur did some horrible compression, so here are better links:

Excellent pickup in my opinion. He is a workhorse that was very underrated last year. He will be good for any young pitching that makes the staff. Plus he has a great entertainment factor with those windups.
I posted this in r/baseball, but someone said I should post it over here to get some more thoughts, but here is the original post:
"I'm a big Southern Miss fan and I'm pretty interested in hearing what Indian fans are thinking about Nick Sandlin at the moment. Do you guys think he can contribute this year? What do you think his upside is in your bullpen? Just glancing at his early numbers and the way he shot through the minors, it seems pretty damn promising early on. He had some absurd strikeout numbers in his first 24 innings with 36 Ks to only 3 walks. That'll do.
I'll tell you from my experience with him at USM, you guys are probably in for a huge treat. He's one of the most fun pitchers I've ever seen at any level. He throws from 3 or 4 different arm slots, has 1 or 2 different fastballs from each arm slot, plus a breaking ball/changeup from each arm slot. He throws at least 9-10 pitches that is distinct in its own little way. He can also throw gas for a guy who spends a lot of his time throwing submarine, touching 94 several times with some sick sinking life on it.
I personally can't wait to watch him in the majors. I know I'll miss him mixing 93 mph sinkers with frisbee sliders at USM, but I really hope I get to watch him do it against the AL Central this year."
I really think that Sandlin will end up being a fan favorite in a couple of years. You guys are in for a treat.
Don’t want to see them go to waste! Free to good home!
My buddy and I have booked a hotel room already. We are not willing to buy half or full season tickets to the Indians for a better chance at the tickets as we don’t live near Cleveland.
So what is the best site to buy home run derby and all star game tickets? I’ve looked at vivid seats but I have never bought from there. So if you have please let me know how it went. What other sites have you used? Or maybe you know someone looking to get rid of all star week tickets.
I already know the ticket prices will be outrageous but that’s fine.
Any other ideas for fun places to go to or do during all star week in Cleveland would be appreciated. Thank you.
