The Four Rules of Handling a Firearm
1. Always treat every gun as if it were loaded.
2. Always point the muzzle in a safe direction.
3. Always keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot.
4. Always be sure of your target and beyond.

I’m looking for a shop that can do a custom optic cut and possibly barrel ports for a non-typical pistol. I’ve inquired at my LGS that does slide work on typical glocks and sigs but not on Rugers. Just curious to see who would be willing to take on a unique project. Thanks in advance.
Sorry kind of long story. My elderly neighbor was out for a walk and thought she found a gun in the grass next to the road. She left it alone and stopped by my house and asked me to take a look. So we take a walk to it and sure enough it was a keltec 22wmr pistol. We called the police and they came and took it but while we were there they called it in. The cop off hand mentioned that it wasn’t reported stolen and the owner was from a town 30 miles away.
I was under the impression there was no data base.
I was not quite aware of this, I always just assumed it was progressives trying to disarm the people... but I suppose I'm not surprised it was the government trying to disarm a disenfranchised minority group. Interesting read, I'm not sure what end of the Internet and work boredom that brought me to this story, but informative nonetheless. Oh yea, it was the NRA Roundup on MidwayUSA... which raised the question, what good is the NRA anymore aside from funneling money into the pocket of its leaders and how much does MidwayUSA give to the NRA.

I'm in Oregon but am a fairly regular reader of r/WAGuns so I can keep informed about your current legal challenges and what we might see here in Oregon in the coming years.
I've noticed that the SafeFire range in Camas has some interesting answers to a couple questions on their range FAQ page when read as a non-resident:
As an Oregon resident, am I able to bring my semi-automatic rifle to your range?
Yes! Oregon residents can bring any semi-automatic rifles that they legally own to our range to shoot. You can still bring them here – we just can’t sell them to you!
My firearm has a magazine capacity that is larger than 10 rounds. Can I still bring it to the range to train?
The new WA magazine law does not have any affect on coming to practice or compete at SafeFire with magazines over 10 rounds.
By my understanding of the current Washington law and its use of "import", the first answer is highly legally questionable at best, while the second is true for Washington residents, but similarly questionable for non-residents.
Am I correct that this is bad advice legally or is there some detail of the law that I've misunderstood?
So, I'm looking at getting a functional "showpiece" firearm. One that works, but is mostly impractical for anything but the very occasional range day fun. To that end, I've been looking at the S&W .500 Mag 4", the S&W .460 (4", I believe), and the .350 Legend. The .500 has the most legendary status that I'm aware of, but the .460 is similar enough and provides more caliber options. The .350 Legend was unknown to me until shown, and seems pretty cool.
I'm leaning towards the .500, simply because of its status and I have no doubt it would be fun to shoot at the range every so often. Just to reiterate, this is something I want solely to have it, no other real purpose. I have plenty of other firearms that can serve functional purposes.
Of those 3, what would you choose, and why? Do you already have one of them and/or their various models? What are some real world pros and cons? I'm aware of the ammo process so that's not a surprise to me.
From the langauge in the AWB it seems legal to leave the state and return with the same weapons, but would that cover moving out of state and back? Additionally if an FFL was used to ship/transfer a weapon out of state to an individual for temporary storage would the weapon be allowed back in the state if retrieved by the original owner who purchased the weapon in WA?
Currently active duty here, and I was looking to apply for a CCW. I have an out of state DL and I don't plan to change that anytime soon, nor do I want to because I'm moving back to my home state when I get out. The reason I'm saying all this is because, I read online it takes 30 days if you're a WA state resident to get a CCW, But if you have an out of state ID it takes 60? Does that apply to military, because as far as I'm concerned, my orders are to prove residency when I purchased my gun, I don't know if the same applies for a ccw. Is it possible to also get issued a WA state ID card with my apt address?
May be moving to WA in the future. Currently have a suppressor in limbo. If I get the suppressor, is there any way for me take it with me into WA?
I just bought a MAC M2 shotgun that’s a 5 plus one. I know I can only have max 7 rounds. My question is, does the plus one count against that 7 rounds?
If I were to buy a +2 extender, would this make it illegal?
Hi all, I am thinking to get into 10m(.177) competition rifle shooting, start learning..... Which gun should i buy, my budget is 500 max, and based on my research, getting a pcp gun would be great. Looked into Daisy 753s but its a handle operation(they replaced the metal handle with plastic in new units).
Should i look into used market? Where should i look? I am totally new to this. Any help appreciated. Please recommend some good guns that can go a long way.
Received notice that I can expect my CPL in the mail shortly. Grey area in the laws that I am looking for clarification on.
As a CPL holder am I legally allowed to have a loaded pistol in my glove box / center console / door panel while I am traveling and the vehicle is in motion? Or is the law stating I can only travel in a moving vehicle with a loaded pistol if it is concealed and holstered on my body?
I have a Benelli M2 shogun, and I am looking at getting a Nordic extension for it. What is the maximum tube capacity I could get. I read somewhere as long as it’s not over ten rounds I could be okay. Is that true?
What’s up folks, my friend was asking about the state of the “pistol brace ban” situation. As of now is it safe/allowed to use pistol braces when hitting the range? Or is it still up in the air and not very smart to dig them up put them on a pistol and take them out to shoot publicly? He’s very confused and I don’t want my main man to throw his life away over a scary, evil piece of plastic/rubber. Hope y’all are living your best life’s, much love.
I have a S&W Model 22 (2000’s reissue of the m1917) that I would like the barrel chopped down from 5.5” to 4”. Obviously a barrel chop and recrown is pretty standard fair, but replacing the front sight on the shortened barrel looks like it will take a little more expertise. Has anybody out there ever had this type of work done, and who would you recommend to do the job? I live in Kittitas County and intend on asking around at some of the local gunsmiths, but I really want this job done right. I’m open to looking at gunsmiths farther from home that have stellar reputations when it comes to this kind of work.
So I've been trying to buy hollow point .45 ACP 230 grain online but I have had no luck in doing so.
I checked the websites of two different gun shops and they no longer have ammo being sold on their websites.
I also went to guns.com to try to find some and they said and I quote "The following items are restricted and cannot be purchased in your location" in regards to 100 rounds of .45.
Was there some law that was recently passed regarding the purchase of .45 online? Or is it simply just the vendors that are no longer offering it online? In which case I do not mind going to an FFL to purchase ammo.
(I also know that even if I buy it online, I would most likely have to pick it up at an FFL, but I have a specific brand online I was trying to get. Shopping in person doesn't guarantee I'll get my brand)
Can a registered pistol lower be sold and transfered to me here in WA state? The reason I ask is because a good friend of mine has a registered pistol lower from a while back and I was hoping to have it transfered to me. Any thoughts or advice to anyone who knows about this?
Let’s say if I order a borderline AW (say Mini 14) from an out-of-state seller online. The seller ships it to a local FFL that is willing to make the transfer, and finally the local FFL transfers it. Is the FFL considered as both the importer and distributer here? Will I have any legal liability in case the court rules the Mini 14 to be an AW?
As the title says, I am about to get my hands on a Beretta 1301 Comp Pro and I’ll need to pattern it for turkey. The range I usually go to indoors has relatively short lanes, can anyone recommend a friendly outdoors range not too far from Seattle?
Good morning I'm pretty sure I am in the clear with most of the purchases I want to do. Can anyone confirm that these are still legal in the state? Thank you
If anyone can confirm it'd be much appreciated.
Did the age to buy a Ruger model 19101 go from 18 to 21?
Is that a good price? And clearly I got this during out Freedom hour.
Just a sweet little custom bcm I’ve been putting together for a while. Looking to get a tanodized ACOG for it and i have an RMR to piggyback then I’ll call it done
I'm looking to get a new CCW and I'm pretty set on getting the Springfield Hellcat Pro. Now I'm debating whether or not if I should go for the FDE model rather than black. I been seeing the prices for them online and they're not bad. It'll be cool if I got something that's slightly different from the default black, but I do like the black color scheme a lot. Also I heard there's some practicality in considering FDE. Just open to ideas and input from the community.
i’m looking into getting a semi auto rifle that has the option to detach the magazine (vz 58 comes fixed mag initially). i think i’m set on one of these options but i need input. i feel like the vz would be a little more accurate and reliable but is it $700 better than the mini? are there any other options that i should consider?
Hello,
while browsing the sub, I see the hearing related to mag ban is like the below.
So, what does the hearing do here?
Will they review if the mag-ban-stay decision was legit?
Thank you in advance.
