Gonna drive over for a day next week when I’m staying at keystone where is the best place to park with what will be one. I’m not really worried about the cost.
Predictions Below:
Green = Definitely
Magenta = Plausibly
Orange = Maybe
What we know for sure:
Hi, I am meeting my husband in Vail for a long weekend, we are in our 50s and don't ski. We will be staying at Arrabelle. What would be some good things for us to do for the weekend. I know it will be quiet and since we don't ski not a lot to do but what would you recommend and some good food spots. We will have a car also.
Piedmont - don’t know anything about it, but thankful for a bed! Cheers to Winter 24/25!!
Wich are the best Gyms near Avon? Is there bars for doing calistenia near Avon that aren't frozen? 😹
New to town and am looking for locals' recommendations on cool bars to watch sports at/host events like trivia and coffee shops that are a bit away from the resort that would be good for working remotely. Thanks is advance!
So Im in vail with my girlfriend who is turning 30. I was wondering which restaurants you guys recommend for the 7 days we are there?
Price doesn't matter, and we are open to basically everything.
Thanks in advance
Does people play indoor soccer on winter at Vail? I'am heading to Avon from Costa Rica these season and I really like to play soccer, so if anyone knows if there are any group of people who make matches during the season let me know.
I’m working the lifts in Vail this winter and have housing in Avon. I wasn’t planning to bring my car out to CO but when I tried looking up transit I don’t see anything that would get me there early enough. Does Vail offer services to employees for earlier transportation to the resort??
EDIT: Sorry might have worded it weird I’m looking for transit from the housing in Avon to Vail for the days I work. I will need to be at Vail at 6am and the earliest bus I see picks up in Avon at 6am. I’ll be contacting my employer tomorrow to ask about it but figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask here to see if I missed something obvious.
Does anybody know of any good non resort nor hotel restaurants? More so family/ locally owned? I’ll be a lifty at Beaver Creek 4 days a week but looking for a second job at night for when I get off
Looking for housing in Vail, first season coming on as a FOH lead at one of the bars. Chill dude from New England. Like to be as close as possible or close to public transit. Single, not many belongings. Bringing the good vibes and high energy.
Figured this could be a good spot to let other people know where not to work or work in the valley and why. Could show a little transparency to some nasty bosses/companies or some awesome bosses/companies!
I just landed a job being a lofty at vail this season, and I will have the opportunity to stay in employee housing. Was just wondering if anyone thinks there is an area that is better than others, preferably I would like single rooms as I saw those were options.
i usually stay at a ski-in, ski-out resort in vail (grand hyatt vail) and decided not to go this year. a day ago i actually received a call from the hotel asking if i would stay this year. i looked up the "free nights" of this hotel to purchase by points and found many rooms still available even during the busy christmas season. is this a sign there are less folks going to vail this year? if so - that makes me actually want to do it!
Looking at the Westin Resort and Spa and Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch for a Christmas getaway for two families (4 adults, 3 kids under 5).
We might try to visit a few weeks before actual Christmas to avoid the rush especially since we don't ski and just looking to get away for a cozy Christmas.
Is one better than the other in terms of proximity to restaurants and things to do for little ones? What other non skiing things do people typically do when visiting around Christmas?
Hi everyone. My husband and I will be in Vail from Jan. 2 to Jan. 6. We have an early flight out at 8am on Jan. 6 and booked a shared Epic Mtn. Express shuttle. Is the bus from the EGE airport into Vail reliable? We are staying near Ptarmigan bus stop and land around 3pm on Jan. 2. I was looking at the Vail bus route on Google Maps and wanted to know your thoughts as to whether we should book another shuttle to our lodge (no lodge transportation) or use the bus! Not sure how early it gets dark in Vail. Any recommendations would be great! also where do you get bus tickets?
I’m trying to figure out where I’m staying in VA. Can anyone help me read this better??
Sorry this is probably such a stupid question. Does “GC” stand for something?? I know VA stands for “Vail”
Hi everyone! This winter season, a friend and I will be working as ski instructors at Vail. We've been searching for housing for a while but haven’t had any luck yet, and we're still waiting to hear back from StarRez. for the employee housing. Does anyone know of any available places nearby or have tips on where we could find housing? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Every since the new update, the game has been acting funny acting a little sluggish. I try to shoot it's always taking a couple seconds before I can shoot and I'm dying. Is there anyway we can fix this because I love playing this game and it's killing me not being able to play for the last 24 hours.
What would Vail be like today during this snowstorm? Don't plan on snowboarding, just want to hang around the town. Is the snowstorm going to shut things down?
I am planning on bringing a vehicle to vail for the winter season.
-what can I do to take care of the car during the winter season ?
what are the issues with keeping it parked?
maybe I shouldn’t even bring a vehicle and just use public transit ?
Anything helps! Thanks!
Still trying to plan some day drinking for this Bach party - if we have people who aren’t planning on skiing but want to get up to the Two Elk Lodge, do they have to buy lift tickets? Or the gondola ticket? They’re kinda expensive to just get up there so I want to make sure we plan accordingly. I’ve been to other spots where you can ride up for free but I don’t see any info online.
Gonna be in Vail opening weekend for a bachelorette party and I’m looking for some insight on some fun day clubs/parties. I saw on the Vail site that the Express Lift Bar has a dj on Friday the 15th but looking for some other options for Friday or Saturday. Thanks in advance!!!
Traveling in from DTX for the weekend with my Gf (Feb 13-16)
Flying into Denver and looking for places to stay that aren’t $5k+
Was looking to rent a car & drive from Denver to Vail but after reading into it I don’t think that would be a good idea..
What’s my best bet going to & from Denver airport / Places to stay in / around Vail?
Will definitely continue to look into this.. Any and all ideas would help tremendously
No real questions. Just excited to join the Lifty team at vail. I worked as a Lifty at Mt.Bachelor and loved it.
Super stoked to get to ride vail.
My husband and I are coming to Vail this weekend through Monday. We know it's the off season so many typical mountain activities will be closed. What are some things we can do or see while we're there? We're definitely going to check out the hot springs in Glenwood. We would also love recommendations for restaurants while we're there. TIA
Does anyone know it is easy to call a Uber from Denver airport to Vail in a evening in December? I know there are Uber reservation, but I am afraid the flight delay since we have a group of four taking three different flights.
Husband and I are going on a trip and would love to stay at a nicer resort that has somewhat fancy accommodations but isn’t break the bank fancy. We aren’t planning on skiing but would love a place that is near restaurants and shops and maybe some other outdoor activities.
Hi, is there a small area outside of grand Hyatt by the Cascade Lift to have my toddler practice on their snowboard? Possibly right outside the ski rental building? I just want them to get a feel for the snowboard before heading up the mountain.
