I bought these jeans from M&S just under six months ago. I wear them once a week, if that. I barely move in them, literally a 15 minute walk to the bus stop and back, otherwise I'm just sat in my office chair.
I bought these after I bought a pair of black jeans from H&M, some of the pricey and supposedly better quality ones which seemed strong and actually felt like denim. Within a few weeks there were several tears on the legs. Similarly I bought a blue pair from the same line, which didn't seem to share the same problem, but about 4 months later I accidentally pulled one of the belt loops off, and it felt like there was no resistance at all.
I'm sick of this, the quality of clothing has declined so much but noticeably so within the past year. I feel so angry knowing I'm paying a lot of money from stored that I trusted for quality that is now comparable to Shein. Similarly, I bought my usual go-to undies from M&S recently too, only to open the packet and discover they were now made of some horrible shiny synthetic material.
Where are we buying quality, lasting clothing from now? Coz it sure as hell isn't on the high street anywhere anymore. I know vintage is the go to, but I always really struggle to size vintage jeans, so would definitely appreciate any punts for current brands doing it right. Also, very willing to fork out extra for a pair that will last.
P.s. as an aside, I have complained to M&S. Awaiting their answer.
Hey everyone,
I think it's time to refresh my wardrobe. I've been wearing the same clothes for years, choosing to repair them when they get damaged or worn rather than replace them. However, they're now too worn out to be presentable.
I'm looking for clothes with a timeless, classic style—something that doesn't follow fleeting trends. Ideally, they'd be high-quality yet still affordable.
Does anything come to mind? Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Thanks!
Please help! I’m going to hen do where I only know the bride and I don’t have a clue what kind of thing to wear! For context, it’s an all day into all night event (consisting of an art class in the day and some hen games then to bars in the evening). The ages will range from late 20s (bride and friends and me ) plus older women (the mum/aunts etc that I’d guess are late 50’s. I’d like to be on-trend but have a fairly safe low-key vibe and don’t want to stand out too much. Any suggestions??
The closest I've got is the Levi Red Sherpa (linked) but I've only seen it on the US sites and always sold out. Would be willing to pay the extra to get it shipped over.
I've tried Vinted and Depop also, don't mind 2nd hand if it's in good condition.
If anyone can help/knows of any similar!

I have a friend with small feet, struggling to find places that sell nice looking/sexy heels and at sensible prices.
Any suggestions welcome, she's mid 20's and a UK size 1, most sites have options for size 2+ or shoes aimed very much at children.
Pic for attention
Looking for some lightweight joggers in a non-cotton fabric, prefer darker colours, don't need pockets though they would be nice. Fairly close fitting but not skin tight. Also should be a coolish fabric, I don't need/want fleece or similar, I overheat already. They'll be primarily for working in so I don't want to spend a huge amount on them ~£30-50 depending on quality, would ideally have some stretch and/or articulated knees. Can be patterned or not but should be not too outré or shiny... don't like shiny... unless you haven't guessed I'm physically mostly male. But generally prefer female leggings/trousers... as they tend to fit me better. I wear XL (16-18) Leggings, probably up to 20 for something less fitted. And whatever the male equivalent would be XL-XXL maybe... comes to something when you know your dress size better than your actual size. :D
I've looked at ASOS, and the other obvious websites. Prefer online but happy to shop in person if there is a storefront near me. (Northern England.)
I'm in the UK. I'm about to drop about £1,000 on a couple of items from a Swedish retailer.
However, I want to know how easy it is to get a refund on the VAT/import duties (thanks brexit) should I decide to return either of them. The carrier is UPS.
Has anybody in the UK been through this before with returns? Is it easy?
Thanks
I’m getting this ad on FB but the supplier is abroad and buying their stuff will cost a fortune in carriage and import duty. Also I do t know what the quality is like. Is there a supplier for similar stuff in the UK?
Anyone know a good place to buy Men's Jeggings? Amazon seems to do a few types but they only go as short as 32 inch leg, while I need a 30 inch.
I'm new here, to this subreddit and the country, I've primark nearby, and I've never actually went thru the store, I'm 5ft8 in height, and im looking for an overcoat that ends above or just at the knee, a friend of mine got an overcoat for like 20 or 25 pounds from primark, looked good but don't know bout the quality, seemed dodgy for the price, I've found one overcoat at superdry but was 185 pounds, im contemplating on whether to get it from superdry, or try primark, or get something from asos or boohoo instead, kindly suggest me some good brands or sites where I can buy decent overcoats with proper wool that I can wear for casual and formal occasions, especially for the winter
Hello where can I get some wide leg white or cream trousers that are not see through??? I’ve ordered so many and the quality is just always crap 😞 womens. Tall if they have them would be fab
Hi there, I recently got this dress second hand, but when it arrived I realised it was made of quite uncomfortable scratchy material (polyester) and has an oddly formal cut. Does anyone know where I could find a similar dress but say a soft material with a relaxed fit?
I'm (23M) looking for some new streetware brands.
I like more subtle brands like maharishi, aime leon dore, YSL. Not looking for anything crazy expensive.
Does anyone have some good recommendations?
Thanks in advance
I have preferred silver jewellery for everyday use since I was 13, the age when I suddenly got allergic to gold.
As a child, I was always disappointed that I couldn't wear the same beautiful gold jewellery as my friends. I would get itchy when I wore gold, and I had to be careful not to touch it, that was my motivation to start my silver jewellery store to share my love of silver jewellery with other people.
Hey everyone,
I made FashionNear, an app which merges fashion discovery with social elements, all localized to your community. UK users came yesterday.
Here's a brief rundown:
I'd be grateful if you could give FashionNear a spin and share your thoughts. Your feedback on the Outfit Archive feature, the outfit components breakdown, and the Do Not Disturb mode will be valued. Here's the link if you are interested: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/%C3%B3%C3%B2td/id1497395972
Thanks!
I am here for a business trip and tried some basics from new look loved them. Realized they don’t ship in USA. What are some alternatives that I could look for in USA for similar quality and prices.
Hi everyone,
I'm conducting a survey focused on UK Generation Z (18-26) perceptions of fast fashion as part of my MSc International Marketing dissertation at Newcastle University. Would very much appreciate any and all participation. I'd be happy to help anyone else who needs participants as well. Thank you!

Hi, would like to collect a few opinions on leather tote bags.
Is there a current brand synonymous with tote bags?
I really like this one, but feel Kate Spade have devalued their brand with the heavy outlet/ TK Max presence in the UK at least:
Would value any suggestions of similar bags. :)
I also really like this bag from Aspinall, and ideally would find a bag a similar texture, but the shape of the Kate Spade bag: https://www.aspinaloflondon.com/products/mini-madison-tote-in-midnight-lizard
Hi folks! I'm looking online at some Palava frocks but would love to get fit advice before I ship them across the planet. How are they for larger busts?
I've found a few brands that make short bottoms but haven't been able to find one that does tops as well. Also open to brands that just make "shorter" tops even if it's not named that way.
I found this really pretty top fro a woman on vinted however its an XXS(4). I normally wear XS(6-8). My bust is 34 inches. Its a really pretty top so i was wondering if there was anyway i could fit into it or even squeeze - the shirt is very nice
I used to fit nicely into Ralph Lauren Oxford shirts but I've been working out a bit and my chest is a fair few inches bigger now. Anyone know of a good brand for bigger chests and more of a V shape?
Like Topman used to do in the early 2010s?
Just thinking about getting a nice watch for prom, then I’ve got one for other occasions as well then. And if I should, what would you guys recommend? TIA :)
I am after used designer clothing and am searching for a website similar to the above but based in the UK? So tempted to order from the RealReal but the shipping costs and such are so extortionate!
Thanks! xx
