Recently been more focused on clothing that feels good to wear on the skin. Lulu was my first introduction to this as synthetic type clothing. I have heard Reigning Champ and Original Favourites are good in terms of the cotton option, but have yet to try
What other brands do you find fit in this category and what makes it so?
Pretty much the title. Does anyone have any suggestions for dress shoes/boots that can withstand the daily rigor of being an IT tech? Crawling under desks, dusty and rough floors, etc. while still looking nice and not having the toes and other parts of the shoe get the leather or whatever it is rubbed off? Iβve gone through two pairs in about 6 months, and I really donβt want to buy another pair unless I know they are going to last awhile.
Got my first suit a few weeks ago. Wore it to a wedding as a groomsman, so I put in a boutonniere. The needles left some holes in my suit, but I read you could massage the fibers back into place. This worked really well, and the holes are gone, but I guess my fingers were a little too oily because now there is a dark somewhat shiny spot where I was rubbing. Itβs pretty small, but is there anyway to clean this spot, or would I need to get it dry cleaned? I saw some suggestions for a small amount of dish soap and warm water, but I guess I wanted some advice before I blindly try to fix this myself and potentially make it worse. Also is this something that needs to be handled asap, or would it still potentially come out if I just waited and got it dry cleaned before the next time I use in a couple months? Thanks
My boyfriend wanted a custom suit so I went with him to his booked appointment at Suitsupply. We arrived on time and the staff member, who was booked to see him, was busy with another customer so we waited another 10 minutes. The staff asked my boyfriend what occasion the suits would be for. The staff suggested a Milanese button and full canvas, which added up more cost but I thought it was reasonable since those are better qualities and features to have for him. But I found it bizarre that the staff suggested 5 surgical buttons. My boyfriend preferred the usual 4 surgical buttons for the sleeve. Then the staff asked my boyfriend what size shoe he wears and was able to guess correctly that he wears size 28 for pants. The staff brought jackets and pants for my boyfriend to try. Then the staff used pin needles to estimate cut-offs since the trousers were slightly long and the sleeves were long. The staff placed a pin needle on the right sleeve, the right lower pants, the upper back of the pants. Then he told my boyfriend to take off the suits so he could go inside the fitting room to measure. It took about 1 to 2 minutes for the staff to do it and then the staff said everything is good and the suit would fit my boyfriend well.
Is this normal? It was the first time we went to get a custom suit for him. When I looked online, it seemed like there were a lot of measurements to be done on the actual person such as shoulder, waist, biceps, and legs. But the staff didn't measure my boyfriend's body at all. When we went online to see my boyfriend's custom size. Somehow, they have the chest width, waist width, jacket length, sleeve length, bicep around, armhole, sleeve rotation, upper leg width, and seat width all listed. How did they come up with these numbers if they did not physically measure my boyfriend's body? Are they basing this off the jacket and trousers he tried with the pin needles the staff placed?

So Iβm looking for fashion advice. I was pretty slim through most of my twenties. Then I blew up. But itβs all in my belly. I stayed skinny/average everywhere else. Pants size went up 2 inches over 7 years.
My question is what kind of style would work for someone with a firm gut? Iβm down 10 pounds from 223 and still working on it. Iβm just wondering what fashion styles : brands would work for a bald man with a gut?
The picture I posted is the only recent reports be I have. About a month old and Iβm in work clothes. But I hope it helps a little. lol
Hey everyone, this is my first time posting on anything.
I'm a 26-year-old guy who is completely clueless when it comes to fashion. I've always struggled with putting together outfits and end up feeling like I dress like a homeless person everyday. I'm 5'7" tall with a longer upper body than legs, if that helps.
I've realized that it's time for a change and I want to improve my style and feel more confident in how I present myself. I'm tired of feeling frumpy and looking like I don't belong in the 21st century, so I'm turning to you for some much-needed guidance, well because I'm all alone and don't have anyone to ask to really.
If you could offer any advice or tips to help me kickstart my fashion journey, I would be incredibly grateful. I'm open to any and all suggestions, whether it's about clothing, accessories, grooming tips.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to read this and for any assistance you can provide!

Everytime I drop in a pair of trousers for something as basic as making the waist smaller it always feels like the integrity of the trousers becomes messed up.
Iβve tried multiple tailors, and usually they adjust the waist by making it smaller from the seam in the back; this always makes it seems like the front crease becomes slightly rotated and as such that the outer leg becomes half a cm shorter then the inner length creating this weird outward and upward slopping pitch/curve on the bottom at the cuff.
I am probably unclear with the tailors, cause I do not know what I am asking for, what do I tell them to when I want the waist smaller without messing up the placement of the crease/rotating the leg?
I find it hard to wear something that looks good and would hide all those belly fats etc. Most of the time, I wear black colored outfits because they say it makes you thinner, which is true. But especially now that itβs gonna be summer/spring season almost, and people are gonna wear shorts and tshirts etc, it kinda seems depressing to wear an all black for that matter. What tips can you advise for stocky or overweight guys? Yes I know, I am trying to reduce my weight π€£ but letβs talk about fashion tipsβ¦
Iβve always just been a stringer tank and shorts under some jeans and a hoodie kind of guy. Athletic shoes. Usually Reebok Nanoβs.
Iβd like to start dressing nicer. Even casually and donβt know where to start or what to get. My new girlfriend likes to go out which is completely different than Iβm used to. Comedy clubs, dinners, bars with friends etc. I see banana republic has a sale going on now and thought it would be time to grab some things.

So I bought a suit jacket off the shelf, and this particular one seems to fit everything quite well, except for the sleeve length. I'd need to cut it off at the red line, about 2 inches. But as you can see, there is kind of a slit (what is it called?) on the sleeve along where the yellow line is, and the fabric overlaps there.
The buttons are not functional, but they are currently centered along the overlapping slit. I went to one tailor, and he said he could trim the length, and move the buttons up, but he can't do anything about the slit, since there is no extra fabric there to do the overlap. As a result, two of the buttons would rest above where the slit ends.
My questions are:
Thanks!
