Looking for places to sell Prada, Saint Laurent, etc.

Hi all, I love fashion and have a tendency to click buy online, especially during the holiday season. That means I’ll usually have a stock-pile of things at home, worn only a few times, sitting in the closet. Now, I’m aware of the typical websites selling used clothes/shoes/jewelry, such as eBay, poshmark, fashionpile, real real - but I’m looking for something small, more curated. I just want a better seller experience - not looking for top dollar. All suggestions are appreciated!

Are ETQ low top sneakers worth buying?

I have not been able to find a lot of reviews or opinions on ETQ Amsterdam sneakers. Has anyone gotten sneakers from them? How are they in terms of quality, comfort, customer service? Is the brand overall a respectable one?

Clothing for bigger men

I want to find nice fashionable basics for my boyfriend. He's a really big guy, about 6'3 with a very big build (He usually wears 2XL or 3XL). But I find it hard to find clothes for him that arent just from walmart.

So if anyone knows trustworthy brands or online stores that sell clothes for bigger men. I'd appreciate it, I feel like it's been hard to find a good online store for this kind of thing.

Thank you!

Are these cufflinks acceptable for a tuxedo?

Hello, are these cufflinks acceptable for a tuxedo, or do they have to be onyx or golden cufflinks?

Is there a way to

(Not a femboy) Of course, I want to have an excuse to wear latex not every day but on special occasions (concerts etc.). I want to combine latex and fabric like in the second photo without sacrificing my masculinity, but I have never got into any fashion stuff before. (I had to use google translate for this, i hope its understandable) (i'm talking about something similiar to dio brondo from jojo but in all black and without a crop top)

Do Brooks Brothers Dress Shirts Have Collar Sizes That Run Larger Like Charles Tyrwhitt?

Charles Tyrwhitt dress shirts tend to have slightly larger collars than the tagged size. A tagged 15.5-inch collar often measures closer to 16 inches in reality. which I like BTW.

Are Brooks Brothers the same situation or true to size ?

Canadian-made brand similar to Charles Tyrwhitt?

Given some impending moves in the US, I am taking more interest in Canadian-made products. I quite like Tyrwhitt, and I am fine sticking with them. But, am I missing out on some quality Canadian clothing that’s on par while likely being more expensive?

Could any suggest similar shoes to these?

Had a pair of Brook Park Timberland boots a while back and left them on the train. They were very comfortable and probably should have replaced them at the time but they were boots and they only had shoes in with it being summer. The shoes have always be comparable uncomfortable. I’m getting married soon and would like a similar shoe/boot to wear. The Alden Brook from Timberland are quite close.

W2C Signature Worthy Pants

I go for outfits that revolve around my pants. This makes it so that my pants need to be eye catching. Im looking for "signature worthy", unique pants that are interesting through design. I just can't find them as everywhere I look only contains blanks. Keep in mind that I wear baggy pants so Im not looking for embroidered jeans and such (Artful Dodgers and alike as example). Much Thanks.

Looking for a high-quality suit maker in the UK (London-based but willing to travel for the best)

I’m in the process of getting a suit made and want to better understand the differences between made-to-measure and bespoke from those who have experience with high-quality tailoring in the UK.

I have a very specific vision for my suit, including a high-rise trouser with a full break, double pleats, and a structured jacket with wide peak lapels in herringbone wool. While I’m based in London, I’m open to traveling for the best craftsmanship.

For those who have gone through the process, what are the key factors that make bespoke worth it over made-to-measure? How did you choose your tailor, and what was your experience like?

Would love to hear insights from those who have commissioned a suit at a high level.

Where can I find fashionable mod-style soft jackets that can survive rain?

I love this style of mod jacket: https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxi59WsYhYWHIznKILqENQrElTHElxsj4XZ267ETsZ68jn5NoLlBiOWrKbVB_oUNmgbhx1DZNty_DPuIPEWNs8COyUenVENMjRJBjsaVu9dLKheLR_bGCcvxLsQUlYS_oS24CawsPUZsA/s640/junya_watanabe_fall_2011_2.jpg

But no matter where I go in the UK (London stores, Edinburgh stores, Frasers, TK Maxx), I can't seem to reliably find this look. Instead I find your basic outdoor coats, peacoats, jackets, denims, or more scottish patterns.

It's characterised for me(mids 20s male) by:

Suites a thinner profile, thin trousers, darker shoes, and scarfs. Usually three buttons, not too long.

Pattern/material: Checked and Cotton/soft, elbow/shoulder may differ

Colours: Dark browns, Dark Greys, Dark Green, Dark Navy Blue

Too often I find golf style jackets but these don't really suite the style, they jar with the other aspects where I push style a little (shoes etc).

Is there any way to find this style in the UK or any specialist shops?

What places sell low rise pants?

I just recently learned that pants have different rises (still making my entry into improving my wardrobe and exploring clothes haha) and I realized I've been wearing medium-high rise pants like I would low rise. I have a bit of a belly and it's just more comfortable to wear them on my hips, rather than up on my waist (plus it avoids the exaggerated clown-like look of big ballooned out waist to slim legs).

I usually stick with chinos and jeans, for business casual level look, and I was hoping to spend under $100 per pair (closer to $50 would be ideal), since I do plan on losing some more weight.

Outfits to pair with white turtleneck

Hey, so my birthday is in 2 weeks and I was planning on wearing a white turtleneck. I am currently thinking about pairing it with casual light blue jeans, but confused if I should wear something over the turtle neck. I am quite thin, (size 39) so the bare turtleneck looks odd. So does anyone have any recs? I saw a shirt with flap pockets, hex: #7e433b. So is it good? Please share any ideas you have. Thanks.

am i the only one who does not like suitsupply?

from what i have seen based on youtubers who advertise their products (or advcoate for them), their suits tend to be really bad.

Even the staff at suitsupply they tend to have sloppy suits.

Typically its too tight. you can see striations at around the waist button. the lapel jumps out of the chest beause the suit is tight. collar gap. their shoulders are super weird. also their jacket sleeves are too short and tight.

Everytime I see their employees on a youtube video or youtubers vouching for them, their suits are absolutley horrible. Am i going crazy?

Resources for learning about retail clothing - terminology of designs/fabrics/fibers/patterns etc.

Hi there. I currently work for J. Crew and Travis Matthew. Started into this world of retail about a month ago. I am really interested in gaining more insight about terminology of our products, history of fibers and fabrics, the process of constructing the fabric/clothing, why things are the way they are. I’m sorry if some of that doesn’t make sense, but to sum it up I’d just like to gain more product knowledge for myself and for my customers. Online free resources with pictures would be preferred but i’m open to all suggestions. Thanks!

Moving away from sweatpants.. what’s next?

Hi all, Im trying to finally move away from sweatpants wearing. Im 18 and Ive basically only worn sweatpants my whole life. I’ve never cared much about my fashion, but recently shifted from wearing lots of hoodies and flannels (when it was warm enough to just wear a flannel and t shirt) to wearing those generic columbia brand fleece zip up “jackets” and the more I wear them the more I feel sort of weird wearing sweatpants with them.

All my sweatpants are the black tracksuit adidas style looking ones, not the grey cotton type or the ones with the fitted ankles, and it looks okay but just unprofessional. The problem is that I hate jeans, I don’t like how they look generally and I don’t like how they feel. Any other options?

Just in general I’m looking for a more professional style (but not straight business and still comfortable) that doesn’t look awkward on me. I’m 6’3 and 155 lbs so i’m relatively lanky, plus I have longer har (about shoulder length, vaguely like kurt russell’s in the thing, without the facialhair) so I’m just trying to find out what suits me.

Work appropriate shoes that are super comfy and give a “western feel”?

Have to come in once a month for my job and I have either dress shoes or sneakers, the only in between I have are Blackstock and Weber loafers, but they’re an awkward size as I bought them when I was young and naive while also being the white top and black body color scheme. So I feel like they’re a little too flashy for a typical computer guy at a corporate office.

I like cowboys but i can’t wear straight cowboy boots to the office. Could someone suggest some loafers or “office” appropriate shoes that have a western tinge to it?

O'Connell's in Buffalo is Worth the Trip

Hi,

Just returned from an up and back trip to Buffalo, more than 300 miles away, for the sole purpose of buying off the rack 46XL suits as I am tall and previous standbys like Brooks, Hickey Freeman, and J. Press either no longer sell them in store or the brand has changed completely (see Hickey Freeman).

Going there is like stepping back in time to frankly a better shopping experience and for more than an hour I worked with great employee and was able to get a few high quality suits including one from Rochester Trading Company, the old Hickey Freeman factory, and left thoroughly pleased with the experience.

While it is a little out of the way, it was worth the trip and encourage others to make it. Also, they have suits in all sizes and the quality of the suits plus the value and experience make it such a rare and special place to shop.

Is sewing my own clothes worth it?

I don't know if I'm in the right place to ask this question but I'll ask anyway. I'm thinking about buying a sewing machine and just learning to sew, I'm a very heavy set man and buying clothes that fits well is next to impossible and hella expensive. So my question is, will sewing my own clothes be a better option?

***Where to start?

I just turned 20 years old, and I've never owned a suit. Recently, my girlfriend asked me to be her plus one to an important for her. This will be my first time meeting her brother, and I want to make a good first impression. I'm worried about looking silly due to my lack of knowledge on the topic of men's fashion. How do I go about finding an affordable and properly sized suit? I especially need help finding out where and how to get a suit tailored.

Does anyone have a sweater similar to this Gustin?

I see a lot of complaints about Gustin so not sure I want to jump on it. My toddler has a similar sweater and I dig it.
