Can anyone help me identify this men’s jacket please?

It’s a TV presenter wearing it, possibly Belstaff or similar.

    Thursdays boots alternative

I asked in malefasion but think I may have more luck here

Was looking for some boots to wear with dark blue jeans mostly and maybe black if i could get away with it if not lets stick with dark blue.

Not looking for too formal, just for walking around town in the crappy weather. I had narrowed it down to
    https://thursdayboots.com/products/mens-president-lace-up-boot-mocha-suede

but not been 100% sure on sizing i dont want to order from the US for them to be wrong. They said Amazon sell them but I cant see any in that style and size and also the ones they do have in are way pricier.

So looking for some that are going to stand up to the rainy weather, just for around town and local dog walks that will go with indigo jeans.

    Thanks in advance

Mens clothes have dead colours - should someone start a brand for everyday mens clothes in more exciting colours?

Hey! Been shopping for some new clothes lately and have noticed a lot of mens clothes seem to be very monochrome - mainly greys, blacks etc, and the clothes which are more brightly coloured are way too out there for the everyday guy, think bright pink blazers etc.

I wear mostly basics (t-shirts, hoodies, jumpers mainly) but I definitely think there would be demand for more exciting colours, like baby blues, pinks, lilacs, mint green etc which would be appealing to the mainstream?

I wanted to see if people actually feel like there's a market for these types of clothes - I might look into designing some!

Let me know what you think! For context i'm 24 but I think that there should be more colours in mens clothing at all ages tbh.

Need advice of an order that had taken place.

I want to preface this by saying I don't know the rules and had looked at the other option (About I think it was) and saw no rules, no flairs for advice or support or anything)

It's my mother's funeral next Monday, had the council and ESA playing games with my family's money for the past 5 weeks. Finally managed to ordered a coat Tuesday, it's to be expected today (So it said before purchasing). It's from Handsome Dans. Reviews everywhere else indicate I'll never get it in time. Can't find any way to contact them either. Do any of you have any advice because it's been one frustrating day of action after another? I just want to do my mother proud and finding clothes at the height of 187cm is a pain.

Corduroy blazers, alternative to this Charles Tyrwhitt jacket

I fancy this dark blue curduroy blazer from Charles Tyrwhitt, but I can't quite stomach the £279 price tag. Does anyone know any sources for a comparable jacket that can be got for less? I'd be willing to pay something like £180, but I'm open to options.

I'm located in London, if any specific shops come to mind. Thank you!

    I need help guys

Hello everyone, I'm not a part of this community, but man do i need help. I was looking at this zara dress my girlfriend really likes. Apparently it is only sold in the UK and doesn't ship anywhere else. So to get to the helping part, I'm not from the UK, so I can't get it or order, I've tried through a friend in Germany, that failed, so I was wondering if anybody from the UK would want to help me get the dress, if so dm me.

Feedback on my sustainable menswear site

Hey all, I'm in the process of launching an online menswear store for sustainable brands in the UK. Going through beta testing at the moment, but would really, really appreciate any feedback on any element of the site. If you have time to play around and let me know anything broken/wrong/that you think doesn't work or should be changed I would be forever grateful (not an ad, just trying to do it right). Thank you! https://stixstudios.com/

Was planning on getting some smart & smart casual shirts from Charles Tyrwhitt. Try them on in store, discover the cuffs are too big for me. If I got a tailor to add an extra set of cuff buttons so I can tighten it, would that work? Or look bad?

It seems weird to me that their casual shirts all have 2 cuff button settings but their smart/smartcasuals only have 1. But apparently it's "the standard" for smart shirts.

What kind of trousers go well with designer polo shirts?

Hi guys, I've recently bought a few really nice second-hand Italian polo shirts and I'm struggling to find a suitable brand of chinos or trousers to pair them with. I enjoy wearing loafers day to day so I guess I'm still looking for relatively smart but wondered if anyone had any recommendations? A lot of the high street brand chinos/trousers feel really cheap and just don't last. Dickies do some great chinos but I don't feel they work so well with smart polos. I'd love to hear recommendations, nothing tooo expensive mind you! Perhaps anything up to £100? Thanks!

UK workwear recommendations for mens dress pants / trousers / "dressy" chinos in the £100+ range?

Looking for something a bit higher spec than the standard good quallity stuff from M&S, Next, Charles Tyrwhitt etc, I'm hoping to expand my options with a slightly larger budget.

I gravitate towards slim fits over 'tailored fits.' I'm 6'0" and 75kg, generally a 32 waist and a 32 or 34 inseam, depending on the brand.

How can I make my wardrobe more interesting?

Big fan of elevated basics - folk, armour lux, asket, a days march, colourful standard - but none are particularly interesting / lively! What could I do to add some excitement?

    Understated walking trainers for travel

Style-wise, my daily casuals are classic Vans. I have navy, burgundy, grey and several pastel colours for summer.

However, when do city breaks abroad I like to explore on foot and can easily cover 15k-20k steps daily. The soles of my feet ache after a couple of days of that in Vans!

Recommendations for an understated walking shoe for covering distance?

With Ted Baker planning to go into administration, what other similar (UK) clothing brand can I try?

Without exaggerating, 30% of my wardrobe is from Ted Baker, with shirts probably over 50%. So, naturally, I was quite surprised when I read that Ted Baker is planning to shut down its UK stores and plans to go into administration (https://www.theguardian.com/business/article/2024/jul/26/ted-baker-plans-shut-all-uk-stores-staff-jobs).

They had nice design-patterned and floral shirts, ideal for adding a bit of colour and standing out in the office environment. And the price was between £70 and £100 for a long-sleeve shirt. What other similar (UK) clothing brand can I move to that is not too much for the office environment and has design-patterned and floral shirts? I looked at Paul Smith shirts, but they are £200+, and All Saints are more for a night out.

    T-Shirts for a Long Torso

Ok, so proportionally I'm a bit odd, I got the legs of a short man 29" and the torso of a tall man, so t-shirts are never long enough. Add to that I'm muscular and slim and it's even harder.

Problem is so bad that I've learnt to tailor. I can take in t-shirts and hem jeans with ease but, again, finding t-shirts with length is hard.

I currently religiously wear only 2 brands:

Raging Bull (rugby brand so t-shirts are spot on length and width wise because of my rugby build, no tailoring necessary)

Next Level 6210 t-shirts (require tailoring as they're not slim in the body but have right length etc)

And that's all I've ever found.

I just want more choice instead of just these two so anyone here have same issue and have any brands that work for them?

    Office wear and pockets

I like wearing a long coat in winter, a short coat or warm jacket in autumn and a jacket in spring. At the very minimum, it gives me somewhere to stow my wallet, phone, keys, airpods and other paraphernalia.

But with the recent heatwave, I could really do with a suitable suggestion for work. I normally wear an open collar shirt and trousers, leather shoes and belt ie relaxed business wear.

What could I wear in the summer that won’t look out of place?

    See-through white shirts

Does anyone know anywhere where I can get white shirts that aren’t see through? It doesn’t seem like much of an ask but it’s so hard to find them.

I have to wear the full suit and tie as I’m a teacher, and I hate not being able to take my jacket off when I’m in the classroom out of fear the kids are literally going to see my nipples.

I don’t really want to be paying extortionate amounts of money, but can any of you fellas help me out?

Would you value British made clothing over general high-street brands?

I will start by saying this is not an ad or marketing in any way I am trying to get a consensus on how people feel about my proposed idea and am open to questions, criticism and any input. (Excuse the copy paste trying to pool input)

Anyways, as someone who values high quality clothing I personally don't think the UK has much to offer anymore with this regard. High street brands like Reiss, Hugo Boss and Ralph Lauren all farm out their clothing to countries like China and generally you do not get the quality you pay for. the lowest end plain tee from Hugo Boss from the lowest end line is 45 GBP retail and Ralph Lauren being around 75 GBP for a plain tee.

Brands like John Smedley provide great clothing but even on sale their cotton tees are around 80 GBP and I feel like it isn't affordable for a lot of people.

The reason I post this is to ask if anyone had any insight (including your own personal feelings on this subject) towards a brand that tries to be a great middle ground. I find myself wanting to start this more and more.

What I want my brand to be:

    • High quality - using high quality yarns for the products i.e. cotton tees
    • Made in England - not farmed out to some poor kid in China
    • Better quality to price ratio than generic brands but not overpriced either.
    • Better sizing - S/M/L is too vague in my opinion for everyone's body types, get an item that fits you perfectly. (EU/UK suit sizing much more specific)

Why I think it's worth the money:

    • I aim to charge around 45 GBP for a high quality 100% cotton tee. Yes, it is the same as Hugo Boss' lower end line but using much better quality yarns and not farmed out to cheap labour factories. It will be made in England.
    • I want these to be long lasting, durable but most importantly comfortable. No need to buy a new t-shirt every year.
    • No branding/logos, having HUGO written all over everything is not everyone's cup of tea if you just want simple plain essentials, this is the goal.

Any input from anyone here that is insightful is welcomed.

TL;DR would you value clothes made in England more than high street brands.

Disclaimer: as previously stated this IS NOT an ad I want people's thoughts, feelings and input on this topic I am not trying to sell you something. Just your honest feelings. Feel free to ask questions I will be as transparent as I can.

I have also responded to other questions in r/mensfashion about this so if you want you can see if you can add anything from there about my previous comments to expand on this idea.

Wedding guess - dressing for abroad

I have a wedding on Thursday in Spain, it's on a beach and I haven't really thought about what to wear.

I have a nice, fitted white shirt

Thinking to pair with some blue linen trousers, a brown belt and brown shoes without socks?

Any style ideas would be appreciated - obviously needs to be able to be bought from the high street. I can get the trousers tailored today if from a high street store.

No idea on shoes? Is sockless the way to go?
