Attendees of NIC, lend an ear. This is the little niche on Reddit where we can be who we are! Post a pic! Complain about parking! Find a girlfriend! Tell us about that rad Reddit alien drawn during psychology! Better yet, ask questions about homework and do stuff that, ehem academic. For those who "get learned" on this college campus somewhere in North Idaho, make this your home page away from home pages.

Nothing else to say, he's a corrupt POS and is ruining NIC. I hope he is ousted from the board before it's too late.

Has it ever been alive? Anybody still post/read that goes to college at nic?
Are they good? Do area employers value the certificates offered by the school for various trades (plumbing, hvac, diesel mechanic, carpentry, etc)?
Welp, I can see no one has posted here for a while. Not sure if anyone will even see this, but I'm going to be living on campus this semester, and I'm a little nervous. Any hints or tips or unspoken rules that would be good to know?
[this is a survey] (https://usc.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_aUYRLY7jNNo4xfv) Can one person make a difference? You can! Anonymously participate in a short survey that is looking at science, technology, engineering and math freshmen students and their gaming backgrounds! Help advance research and create greater opportunities for diverse populations! You can opt in for a raffle to win a Quad Core Tablet!
Is anyone here? Which classes are you excited for? I have a couple friends coming to NIC for their first semester, any wise or helpful hints for them? Don't forget to get your copy card from the library!
I have an unpaid internship in Coeur D'alene over the summer and I'd like to sublet an apartment in the area during the period. Send me a PM if you would be interested.
It's not very good at all. It's also expensive.
The coffee stand is alright though.
Taken from mynic:
"Security notified of individual with firearm
At approximately 3:30 p.m. today Friday, Sept. 21, a man was spotted on Rosenberry Drive (the dyke road) with a large open-carry firearm holstered on his body. Security was immediately notified as well as the Coeur d'Alene Police Department. Police determined that he is within his rights to carry the weapon openly as neither he nor his vehicle have crossed on to college property where firearms are not permitted.
Given the heightened awareness of the threat against NIC by an individual earlier this week, police are closely monitoring the individual to ensure the safety of students and employees and ensure he does not enter college property. The individual is NOT Patrick Budig who made a veiled threat against NIC and is currently wanted by police. If you see this individual carrying a weapon on campus, please call Campus Security at Ext. 3310."
trying to set up a barcraft in spokane, anyone interested?
What is something on NIC that you would like to change. It can be any problem big or small.
So, through the grapevine (as it were), I've heard that there is a particular Department Director at North Idaho College who flipped out over this subreddit and was asking around at ways that she could ban it or have Reddit delete it. From what I gather, she didn't like that this subreddit was using the North Idaho College logo (up in the top left corner) as well as the fact that this was a marketing mechanism that she wasn't specifically in charge of (or knew anything about).
So, anyway, I thought I would at least share this information with everyone in case you were interested.
Also, I think that I will share this person's information as well, in case anyone would like to get in touch with her. ;-)

Here's what I am thinking. One of us goes and hides an item. Take pictures of the item and location, then post it here. Then some body else goes and finds it.
Ever since I gotten into BBC Sherlock and the RDJ movies I was wondering if there were any other fans that go to NIC?
I finally got the flyer up on google docs. We should get this posted up in some of the buildings around campus. If you want to change it at all feel free. I figured simple was best. I will be posting this in MHS and Molstead tomorrow since I am gonna be there. If you are in the other buildings you should print off one or two and put them up as well.
edit* link does not appear to be quite working so here is another
I hope everyone enjoys the day off!
Well the air in this sub has become quite stale. I believe it is time to start spreading the word of the /r/NorthIdahoCollege so that there is no longer a month between posts.
like a creep.
Seeing as how this is a college subreddit, I feel it would probably be wise to have a post dedicated to letting all 5 of us know your major!
A few people and I decided to look for a NIC subreddit and low and behold there was one! Although relatively weak at the current point we will change that! I also know of a few people trying to start a gaming club, so maybe we can work more on getting that going. By the way I am also a Science major here focusing on Chemistry and Environmental Science.
