Whether your calendar is rooted in the Chinese calendar or not (wikipedia and/or AI can help), you don't get a say on what the Chinese calendar new year is called. "China's"/"Chinese" will just get put in front of it. Regardless what you call China's Lunar New Year, the traditions are Chinese as well (script calligraphy, lanterns, fireworks, firecrackers, zodiac animal, red envelope, dragon/lion dancing etc.), so suggesting all lunar calendars (Chinese one is lunisolar btw) celebrate with them is even more absurd.
😂 Americans pretending Hong Kong is not part of China is hilarious. The official Olympics site isn't based on US education though..."Hong Kong, China". Every time China supports Palestine UN membership trolls bring up Taiwan. Around 140 countries recognize Palestine as a country. Stop embarrassing yourselves and getting more people to search the night and day difference.

US continues to be forced to toss away their professed values trying to maintain hegemony. Free speech lost to user restrictions. Free media lost to news bans. Free economy lost to gov. led. Free trade lost to trade restrictions. Complete 180 on government in personal lives. No matter the excuse for it, the value being tossed isn't China's. That's what really gets under their skin. That their values failed and they had to abandon them.
Groups that bought into "U.S. values" rhetoric, worked for U.S. then got betrayed: Hmong (Vietnam), Syrian rebels, Kurds (ISIS), HK rioters, Guaido (Venezuela), Afghan servicemen/translators (Taliban, who are now mocking Iwo Jima photo while wearing US military gear 😂), Ukraine (Budapest Memorandum, NATO membership)

Then had to stand there and listen to countries all over the world react to all this by restating they adhere to the One China Policy 1 2. Not praising US or supporting Taiwan. Black Sea shipping slowed to a crawl without Russian deal. How many defacto blockades can Westerners pretend not to see? No land alternatives for Taiwan genius. Median line is gone. Waters and air up to territorial limit is gone. Territorial waters around Taiwan claimed islands like Kinmen is gone.

Chinese Political Systen
Greetings fellow Chinese and China sympathizers.
Apologies if this has been asked or discussed before, but how does the Chinese political system works? Meaning, where does one start and how does one raise through the rankings?
I’m a regular Brazilian guy who gets most of his information about China filtered through the lenses of western media, although I do try to get information elsewhere. I’ve been meaning to better understand the workings of China’s political system and what it means to your regular western, and I’d really appreciate if you guys could educate me. Indications of books, videos and other media on the matter are also highly appreciated.

China's reward system. Does it reward lying?
In the US, it seems that bad behavior (Jack Doherty, Donald Trump, Hawk Tuah girl, many snake oil salesman, billionaires who prioritize earnings over the planet or human lives) gets rewarded the most.
I recently found out about this woman Maria Temara who I believe is rich and famous from lying about her height, and then being a content creator on OnlyFans. And there's a lot of US/Western influencers that are rich from lying (Iman Gadzhi, Sarah Finance, etc. etc.). All of them are millionaires at this point I believe.

do you think it would it be weird for a white person to try lion dancing?
Hi! Recently in the past few days I've been really interested in trying out lion dancing. I'd seen videos of it before and thought it was cool, but after seeing it in person this really strong feeling of "I want to try this" has kind of taken over my life. This might wear off eventually, but since I keep thinking about it, I thought I should ask. Would it be weird if a white person tried lion dancing? Technically I'm half hispanic, but if I never mentioned it you would assume I'm completely white. I know this is mainly a cultural thing, so I don't want to try and join something that would make others feel uncomfortable. I searched around and watched a few videos on what goes on in the background of lion dancing and haven't seen much diversity in the art (which makes complete sense). Additionally, where I live, there aren't many troupes that teach this art and most of the ones that do have close ties to Asian American organizations (which again makes sense). Again, I understand that lion dancing is an extremely cultural art form and would completely see why it may be strange to see a white teenager in the mix, but even if I don't end up going for it, I thought I would ask for anybody else who had the same question as me in the future. Thank you for taking the time to read through this giant paragraph and I hope you can help me out! :)
