I thought Hong Kong does not allow dual citizenship, how did you / they end up with this?
What situations would Hong Kong or China penalize you for doing this?
What about foreigners with a single parent from Hong Kong who doesn't have Chinese citizenship?
But the parent has .. I guess something from Hong Kong, not sure what you call it. Redditors told me Hong Kong citizenship is not a thing but people born in Hong Kong still get something
the Hong Kong people's "lifeboat" plan has also been affected due to the large backlog of unprocessed applications. Some people estimate that it will take up to eight more years to obtain permanent residency. Some Hong Kong people in Canada are disappointed that the Canadian government has failed to fulfill its commitments to Hong Kong people.
I'm traveling to Hong Kong and my dad has a cashmere sweater from this brand he really likes. I want to see if I can find anything similar here or if this brand still exists.
Where was it if there was? which city or place?
Hi, is there anywhere in HK that I can find old Run Run Shaw movie posters/ephemera? I tired antiques street and the art house cinema with no luck. Thanks

I’ve recently moved to Kong Hong, more specifically the Kowloon area. I’ve been to multiple stores (mannings, Watsons, some dispensaries) but can’t seem to find castor oil. I need it for hair growth.
Does anyone know where I can buy it? Or what type of store to look for?
I have noticed that in Hong Kong, doctor's offices often have on hand the medicine that the doctor prescribes, and will give it to the patient at the end of the appointment. While this is convenient, it contradicts what is done in America, where medicines must be obtained from pharmacies which keeps a separation between the two and ensures that doctors do not benefit financially from what they prescribe.
Questions:
Hello everyone!
I’m conducting research for my university about how Baby Boomers in Hong Kong engage with personalized ads and their awareness of data collection practices. If you’re a Baby Boomer living in Hong Kong, I’d love for you to take a quick 5-10 minute survey. Your input will be anonymous and extremely valuable for my study!
Hey everyone!
I’ve just moved to Hong Kong via work from the United Kingston. I’m based in Hong Kong island, central. Looking to connect with like minded people, I am 34 years old, spend a lot of time gym and will try any sports, I played a lot of football/soccer in the UK. One problem I am having is connecting with others and knowing when to strike up a conversation without imposing on peoples day! What’s the best way to make friends out here and conquer the loneliness!?
Greatful for your help. Alex!
In the video "Wang Ju Paian", the host Wang Zhian believes that the greatest political legacy left by British colonialism to Hong Kong is "rule of law"; he believes that the verdict in the case of 47 people has undermined the rule of law in Hong Kong society.
New to f&b and will be doing a trial by next week. Hiring person said appropriate shoes for F&B. So what's the appropriate shoes to wear ? Try googling but a lot came , I wanna be sure.

And this incident dates back to 2023, when I was extremely new in Hong Kong and worked as a panda rider. One evening somewhere on Kowloon side , I received an order in a building which to my surprise the first time when I got so confused with the drop-off address. After taking help from a local shopkeeper with the address , finally I head on to the building. I was shocked to see the kind of the building it was - old , dirty and dark with untidy stairs. I started climbing the stairs and seeing old and young men smoking, moving here and there in desperation. I asked an old guy, about the address.
Eventually I received a call from a woman (receiver). She was standing at the door with half clothes on. She took her food in a hurry. Something struck my mind so quick that I felt immense happiness(like butterflies) seeing her. Then I started looking at the surroundings with pink and blue mood lights and those bell rings on the doors with people waiting outside and when I moved ahead there I got to hear a loud moaning voice of a women.
And that was the moment I realised what that really was , a 141 brothel. A local helped me understand what it was all about. It was really a fascinating experience.
If you have some space with you, I can send some stuff (small in size) that my friend bought for me in Hong Kong, and I can provide a fixed fee for your help.

Hello. I am an international student studying in HK at the moment. But I am planning to study in Japan since I have some financial issues. The thing is I want to apply for a Japan student visa in HK. But I am not sure if I can do that since I hold a student visa also in HK. I am not planning to deceive or sth but I am just worried that if I tell the HK immigration way too early, they will be like 'alright go back to your country' and I cannot go back and I don't want to either. I know I made messy decisions. But I appreciate any piece of advice or help.
I am a Korean btw and moved here four months ago. I'm still exploring and haven't found many great restaurants yet.
A good friend from my time working in the US is visiting Hong Kong, and we're planning to have dinner together. I'm looking for restaurant recommendations in or near TST/Wanchai that serve authentic comfort foods, something he might have been missing. Please let me know!
edit: budget - something around 200-400 per person!
