Well, I know what many will think: Watts should be thinking that Ironwood would prioritize Atlas over Mantle. But I think Watts would have thought that Ironwood was going to put attention to Mantle.

1.-Would Ironwood help Mantle?

Some say "Ironwood always make excuses when Mantle suffered, he always justified why Mantle should continue suffering".
But, that's something that happens when are HIS actions the ones that provoke Mantle suffering. He never justified Mantle murders, or the deaths by Grimm.

He never made Grimm suffer out of malice. When Mantle suffered it's because of collateral damage of his plans.

You can say "He always thinks that Salem want him to help Mantle".
But that's something that happened only once and it was after Cinder put the chess piece in his desk.
Before of that, he never thought that what Salem wanted was for him to help Mantle.

2.-Watts thought Ozpin was with him.

Watts didn't know Ozpin was absent with the guys. So Watts should have thought that Ozpin could convince Ironwood to put his attention on Mantle.

Remember what he said?

"He's the only man with a chance of getting through to Ironwood. If that happens..."

Ozpin is the only one capable of making Ironwood reconsider.

3.-Watts should have know that Salem was coming.

Remember, he had a Seer in his bag. With that, Salem could communicate with him. It was that very night that Salem attacked. So maybe she told him that she was coming.

There you have it, Watts should have thought that Ironwood would have put attention in Mantle. Whether by himself or under Ozpin's advice.

And that would weaken Atlas forces and distract Ironwood from Salem.

4.-Conclusions

Remember what Tyrian said:

"The Grimm should have destroyed our enemies, not made them friends!"

The plan was to make their enemies (The military, Ruby's group and mantle huntsmen) go to Mantle and defeat them there.

All so Salem can come and fight a weakened Atlas.

Of course, Salem's minions didn't expect that a united front between their enemies. Nor they were expecting the evacuation plan. But it seems that they expected their enemies to appear so they the Grimm could destroy them.

Ok, so I feel like I started 2022 in Atlas, Vol. 7. After a long, treacherous battle, I’ve finally reached some of my goals. I’m feeling optimistic. I’ve upgraded some things in my life and I thought I found some new friends. Then 2023 came, and so did Vol. 8 and 9. Without trauma dumping, I went through a lot of crap with my family. I was failing my classes and my mental health went way down around that time. I was definitely in Chapter 4-7 of my Ever After arc, feeling like Ruby. Fast forward to now, I’m in a way better headspace, passing my classes and dealing with my family. Maybe I’m in my Chapter 9, but I did receive some news that’s going to change my life for better or worse. I don’t know, but I’m ready to take it on whatever it is.

What arc are you on?

I say 'compared to Jaune' because Jaune is considered by many to be a "blank slate that you can mold into anything you like", this is also the reason why he's used as a protagonist in many fanfics.

But Yang isn't a 'blank slate' like Jaune is, she has distinct features that changing or removing said features might result in an OC carrying her name. But I still want to know the untapped potential and limitations Yang has as a protagonist that still maintains her uniqueness. (Sorry if my English looks kinda weird, I hope my question is understandable)

I just learned that Blazblue Cross Tag Battle, which features characters from RWBY, will leave Xbox Game Pass on December 31st.

Anyone that has Game Pass and still wants to play should probably do so soon. It's a good fighting game that I at least recommend for fans of RWBY to try.

For obvious reasons, this one is probably one of my all time favorites. For slightly less obvious and completely different reasons, I had to crop this one. (Ignore Ruby's arm)

According to Salem, Cinder was vulnerable to Ruby's first use of the Silver Eyes "because of the Maiden's power," and Maria specifically said that they literally cannot be used without Grimm present. Taken at face value that would suggest Cinder was specifically affected due to the Grimm she used to drain the Fall Maiden's power from Amber, but considering that Maria and her father didn't know about the existence of the Maidens or the specifics of where they came from, and the Maidens use power that was originally given to humanity by the creator of the Grimm, is it possible that the Silver Eyes affect the younger brother's creations in general? If the god of light seeded the power of the Silver Eyes among humanity before he sent Ozma back, he could probably have designed them that way without issue.

I'm trying to find a fanfiction where team RWBY somehow (I forgot how) ends up in a world where the roles are reverse, the details I remember so far is that after they arived, Yang was tied to a bed, Winter went to see Weiss, and Weiss is confused has to why her father is sudden acting fatherly at her, and when Ruby is introduced to Salem herself as the headmaster of Beacon instead of Ozpin, and Cinder and the rest are good guys as students in Beacon, can anyone help?

Like, grimm should be more active than ever right now and vacuo is basically a wasteland with not many resources other than dust (Although they have had their dust stolen by the SDC); they have refugees from Vale, mantle and atlas there and all of this is not long after ruby revealed the existence of salem. So negative emotions should be at an all time high.

I know that grimm are basically fodder and most huntsmen/women can one shot even the strongest looking ones. But most people agree that the grimm are a threat when they have the numbers advantage.

We did see a grimm invasion in atlas and even with their military and huntsmen they could barely stand against them. Now they only have remnants (pun intended) of said military, the main teams (one of them a silver eyed warrior, 3 maidens (who are probably controlling the weather 24/7 to give everyone a enough water, it’s a desert after all) and more huntsmen who survived vale (i really hope we see huntsmen that aren’t related to the teams and are not dee and dudley level)

The refugee crisis will probably be one of the big problems to solve, but i think that maybe they’ll have constant grimm invasions to be under even more perasure. They also have those two randos that mercury and tyrian broke out and whatever the crown is (i think this is stuff from the cfvy novel that i haven’t read and idk if i really want to). And the overall threat of salem

I hope the show at least has two more volumes, because they have too many storylines to solve in one volume.

What problems do you there will be in Vol 10?

Just checked out Bastart13's reverse au and I loved it.

Hoping to find a fic where one of the original characters suddenly meets the alternate version of their friends and enemies and chaos ensues.

Inspired by comic book issues that cover a normal week for Super Hero or Super Villain is where I got this idea I mainly got it from a Spider-Gwen Annual issue I read

So going to the point what do you think a normal week for Team RWBY is like from fighting bad guys to just relaxing to morning routine to night routine what do you think it's like for each member of Team RWBY individually and why?

And what do you think a normal week is like for each character that is not Team RWBY like TEAM JNPR or other characters and why do you think like that?

So how do you imagine these characters in and out of the field we only get a glimpse of there normal lives where not fighting Bad guys or Monsters so how you think a normal week is when there off and on the field?
