I'm trying to find the fanfic where Whitley is on Team RWBY instead. I was told about it by someone but I can't find it anywhere nor a name for it. So if anyone knows what I'm talking about please help. Thank you for your time

There was a one shot I read a while back, that I can’t seem to find anymore. There was a specific line In it I remember very well: “a weapon she could date” in reference to Penny. The fic itself is a talk between Yang and Ruby. This is just bugging the heck out of me, thanks in advance for the help!

I've become too attached to the new idea of Torchwick's allusion being Honest John, to have parallels to Penny's story. Someone gave me this great idea and it's lived rent-free in my head for two weeks.

In my last post, some people write their own theories about the Sword of Destruction being an Excalibur allusion, by so, only the one who's worthy will be capable of using it. (King Arthur)

So, imagine the sword is stuck in a stone --just like Excalibur-- inside the Summer Maiden vault In Shade Academy. After Summer Maiden opens the vault, only the one who's worthy will be capable of draw the sword from the stone and swing it. That chosen one will be also the only one on all Remnant who can use the power of the sword and destruction.

During The Great War, the King of Vale (Oz) was that chosen one, but times has changed and many things have happened in all these decades. And due to the King being no more and in his place is now Oscar, the chosen one is someone completely different.

It could be Oscar or someone else. The thing is that Oscar (future Ozcar) is another of Ozma's reincarnations, so is the same soul as the King os Vale but with... extra steps. (I'm talking about the other souls who merged with Ozma's)

That leave us with other candidates for the sword. It couldn't be Salem, because, she has been in Remnant since before Remnant was even a thing and she has never been "chosen" by the sword (we can't assume she has not at least tried to use the sword before, but failed) so her plan has always being to find someone who can wield the sword (it doesn't matter if she can use it or not, she just wants it out of the stone to reunite all the relics).

Cinder is not worthy because she is worthy of nothing and will never be. She is just a bloody migraine (I miss you Watts...)

If Salem went to Vale is because she needs the Crown of Choice NOW and won't go to Vacuo untill she gets it. She knows everyone is in Vacuo now, so it's her opportunity to get it. Vale is destroyed, but that doesn't mean Salem and Cinder (who most probably will be killed by Salem after opening the vault) are not still In there searching for the crown.

Anyway, I got far from the main subject.

The question is, who is the hypothetical chosen one? Is it Jaune? Or someone else?

I've realized something interesting that could help us predict who's gonna die next.

The Ozluminati is all based off of characters from the Wizard of Oz, right?

Well, I've noticed that they've been dying in the reverse order that Dorothy met them. The first to go was Ozpin, then Lionheart, and finally Ironwood.

Dorothy (Theodore) met them in this order: Glynda (Glynda) Scarecrow (Qrow), Tin man (Ironwood), Lion (Lionheart) Wizard (Ozpin)

That means that Qrow should die next out of them. Obviously, it doesn't account for any non-Oz characters, but it at least helps a bit. Also, it could mean that either Theodore survives, or dies last, but that's anyone's guess.

(Watch one of the first lines in V10 be mentioning how Glynda died offscreen now)
