Inspired slightly by Bloodborne, apologies if tagging is wrong.
Ruby Rose is of a Silver-eyes Bloodline, called as such for their bright silver eyes reminiscent of the moon, who date back to when Huntsmen were called Hunters, simple game hunters who changed targets to the bigger prey known as grim, who gained their Silver-eyes and innate self enhancement Magic (Body, Mind, Senses and Sixth Sense for detecting Grimm/Observing the Flow of the World) from their Great Ancestor, Salem. Although they lack Aura, blocking them from a semblance, nor do they possess the evolved resistance to the Corrupting Blood of the Grimm, should it seep into their bodies and taint their minds, they possesses the collective martial and battle experience of all their Silver-eye ancestors and hold greater physical abilities and potential than what is doable with even massive reserves of Aura and great longevity in life.
A Silver-eye's is recognisable by their well-covering yet practical dress to prevent the Grimm Blood from tainting them, typically leaving only the head/neck and the hands exposed, a natural instinct and prover of the "Miniskirt and Shorts Proof", where a Silver-eye's is so repulsed by such exposure of the skin that convincing them to wear one is a task of impossible difficulty. Covering of the eye's is also typically in a Silver-eyes, fore they can without eyes because of the ability to "Observe the Flow of the World", where the magic and soul intrinsic to the world is visible in how it flows from people, through earth, through lifeforms and the dark magic that composes the grimm so to detect them, and uncovering ones eyes means it can be seen and drive one mad in time.
They are eager for The Hunt, to slaughter foul and monstrous Grimm and fellow Man on their way to mutating into foul and Monstrous Grimm without Mercy or Hesitation, until the Grimm and their Grimm Taint, their bloodlust driving them forth in their great purpose and caring only for the killing, apathetic for the lives they end and the beasts they eradicate, doing all that must be done to purge the dark infection from remnant and thus they are cold and stoic in their living, always hunting and never resting, alone in their purpose and mission.
They naturally worship the 'Grand Ancestor, The Enduring Silver Moon', worshipping the moon as an incarnation of the God Of Light, The Grand Ancestor and Paton of the Great Ancestor Salem Who Granted Them Their Strength And Eyes, singing and dancing in prayer beneath the light of the moon and revelling in the sight of a full moon and hunting Grimm and Grimm tainted with fervour when the eclipse hides it and hurts their Grand Ancestor, already doing so for the split in the moon they think the Grimm and the Grimm Tainted are to blame for. Silver-eyes reside in hidden and protected Pack Covens, refining the art of battle and forging their weapons for the hunt and upon leaving for the hunt at 18, with head full of prayer and the urge to slaughter, they may not return unless they have become pregnant, where they will pray whenever they can for a great and healthy child, protected by the nameless Silver Warriors, devout Silver-eyes permitted to stay to defend the Pack Covens and train the aged children for the hunt, until they give birth aided by the nameless Silver Maidens, devout Silver-eyes permitted to stay as Prayer Maidens to read and sacrifice to Silver Moon and to raise children to training age. The child bearer is then offered the path of a Silver Maiden or offered enough time to recover before leaving to hunt once more, either way becoming a Silver Maiden or Warrior means giving up ones name and identity, even to the point of erasing all memories of life before the first moment as a fully-fledged Silver Maiden or Warrior. Silver-eyes fertility is famously high so they persist throughout even troubled times, except the very rare male Silver-eyes who can only breed with female Silver-eyes, but no Silver-eyes raises or trains their own child, not really, because even if a Silver Maiden or Silver Warrior does, they don't remember them anyway.
The life cycle of a Silver-eye's is one simple in nature:
"First, you shall live; Second, you shall pray; Third, you shall learn; Fourth, you shall hunt; Fifth, you shall breed; Last, you shall die."
Hey i'm making a fanfiction about Weiss in Bloodborne, and while i'm doing that i'll also be doing a playthrough as her in the game to somewhat help as a guide.
I'm not sure what build to make though, i was thinking a skill build but i'm not sure, so i'm open to suggestions if you have any.
Hi there, so I am working on a Destiny x RWBY crossover fic and came up with an interesting idea for super constructs for the Guardian who finds himself on Remnant due to complications (the Young Wolf, going by Wolf). The idea behind it is basically the "paracausal" rules of Remnant are applying to him so he loses access to his traditional abilities and has to unlock his own aura and by extension his semblance (his light and dark powers).
So the constructs will be representing the bonds and friendships he forged with members of Team RWBY and JNPR in the fic. I am open to ideas for elemental constructs for the characters. For clarity, the elements of Light are: Solar, Void and Arc; while Darkness include Stasis and Strand.
Starting off with Void:
- Void Scythe - representing Ruby
- Void blades/chain type weapon - representing Blake*
- Void Shield - representing Jaune**
Arc:
- Arc hammer - representing Nora
- Arc spear - representing Pyrrha***
Solar:
- Solar gauntlets - representing Yang
- Solar spear - representing Pyrrha***
Stasis:
- Stasis Sword - representing Weiss
Strand:
- Strand daggers - representing Ren (unsure about the type of weapon for Ren, but open to ideas)
*For Blake I'm unsure about the type of weapon which would represent Gambol Shroud best
**For Jaune, unsure about the element that would suit him best as Void Titans are linked to shields and defence as if it was just a void shield it would technically be Sentinel Shield titan super, but could get creative with a solar shield.
***For Pyrrha, imo she's the toughest one to figure out as i'm unsure what element represents her best between Solar, void and arc.
Hi guys, I'm back with another one-shot smutfic, to celebrate the end of NNN. Enjoy!
Hello everyone! New to the subreddit and wanted to share what I would consider my flagship RWBY longfic, Remnant Light***!***
It is a Mech Pilot vs Kaiju Grimm RWBY AU with Jaune as the Main Character, a (currently) unannounced PolyShip as the main ship for the fic, a mixed-up team system, and lots of character and chapter art drawn by myself!
I'll add the summary/blurb below, I hope that if you check it out, you enjoy it!
In a world where the Grimm tower over both Man and Mountains alike, the tools to fight them had to match them.
Jaune Arc enters Beacon Academy to pursue his goal of becoming a Hunstman, a Mech pilot who would combat the Grimm. No matter his lack of 'previous experience' or lack of knowledge about most things people would regard as common.
As he trains hard to try and catch up to his team and classmates... What kind of schemes and plots will he find himself embroiled in? And what secrets will he uncover about his Family? The kind of Secrets that could turn a bloodline of world-renowned heroes into reclusive farmers?
So I am working on making a RWBY crossover with Pokémon. The idea goes that Jaune’s semblance is that can manifest Pokémon based on his personality and need. So the Pokémon I have chosen are Taurus, Hitmonchan, Aegislash, Braviary, Arcanine, and Blissey. Those Pokémon listed will be solely used and will teach him life lessons and the like.
Taurus = His bull headedness and reckless charge first behavior
Hitmonchan = His desire to defend himself but also to be able to fight back
Aegislash = the want to wield his family’s sword and shield, so get trained to use it but aegislash
Braviary = his drive to fight for his friends and pride
Arcanine = his loyalty to his friends
Blissey = His caring and wanting to help nature
So do my choices make sense?
So, it’s heavily implied that the brother of light created the Silver Eyed Warriors in canon by Maria’s own mention in volume 6, but, I’m writing a fanfiction where it’ll eventually be traveled the god of darkness actually made them as a response to his brother sending Ozma back.
Basically, he will be the one to speak of the “Smaller, more honest soul” in this story, and empower them and their bloodlines with the silver eyed warrior’s genetics.
That said, I’m not sure I entirely want it just being a pure tool of destruction. The current fic I’m planning for has a few mechanics already, and, with the full existence of the Rose Clan and a bloodline that can be traced back centuries, I think it’d be interesting to have a few different ways the light of a silver eyed warrior, bestowed by a god darkness, could let it affect Grimm: if anyone has any ideas on how to manifest it, I’d be super willing to discuss!
It’ll be a big plot point in the story, eventually-
I'm working on a fanfiction, and one of the five OCs I'm working with is named Kelvin. Small problem. I can't think, for the life of me, of a color that begins with the letter "K". Kelvin, if you don't know, is the scientific temperature scale. So what color should I use for any banners I might make for him?
We all know Jaune is the poster child for being from the real world, but I always thought Ruby and Yang could make a cute duo that came from the real world who arrive in Remnant through some shenanigans. Maybe Summer could also have been from the real world and the sisters find out that this is where their mother disappeared to years ago?
Am looking for an old fanfic I vaguely remember from a few years back.
It was a reincarnated as Jaune story, where he had a gamer system of sorts, was in a relationship with at least Miltia and Melanie, and his family were huntsman and huntresses, with his mom having a semblance that allowed her to survive being cut in two, with both halves becoming their own people. His dad also had some kind of aura blast semblance, and was wanting Jaune to take on some kind of family tradition.
This is just a small post going over aura techniques created by a group of OC's called the Phantom Knights. A huge inspiration for these would be from jujutsu kaisen and HxH.
Air walk: By releasing a small explosion of aura from the user's body to "grasp the air surface" to act as propulsion.
Double shot: A lag time in the application of aura reinforcement causes a secondary hit.
Twice critical: By applying a small amount of aura to the user's hit and releasing it upon the moment of impact the hit does devastating damage.
Medic: When the user is about to get hit by a devastating attack they pack as much aura to that area before getting hit. This causes the area to start healing prior to getting hit.
Hawkeye: The user flows aura into their eyes to enhance their sight.
Blaster shot: User releases a shot of aura by forming a gun shape with their hand.
The rules has been rewritten that allows Atlas to have child soldiers, at 14 June Arc is sent to their military academy. Makes a good friend, after a year he is sent off to a remote outpost. An white fang attack happens, he gets exposed to a tier one team. He and his friend tries out and make it. I have the outline drafted just need advise on how to write it.

Feel free to comment and share thoughts (At either site, you can do so here as well, but I am just the commissioner, not the author.)
Every so often I get reminded of this one rwby fanfic that involves team RWBY and JNPR living together in a house in some sort of reality tv/web show set up by Ozpin. Almost every character pre-season 5(?) comes out. It’s comedic and one key detail I remember is Velvet and Mercury ending up together. It’s a long shot, but if anyone has seen it or read something similar, I would greatly appreciate it.
Imma be honest, I'm flying half blind here. Let me do my best here.
I take the primary plot of RWBY and toss it out the window. Salem? Gone. The Maidens? What Maidens? Magic? Nope. Artifacts? Don't need 'em.
I'm not including the primary cast in this plot, aside from a small reference here and there. Didn't want the burden of trying to fit an established character. Lazy? More than likely, yes.
The primary team (I know it's a stretch here, but hang in there) is Team CKSS(It's pronounced Kiss, don't worry about it).
Chenall Bucks is the youngest child and third daughter of the Bucks family, a fairly large business family that runs a chain of cafes and a chain of fashion stores. Having never lived up to her parents expectations, she goes to Beacon in a admittedly desperate attempt to get her parents to be even somewhat impressed.
Kelvin Darkcheck(Last name is subject to change) never knew his father or mother. Adopted by a Mafia boss and currently on track for a position as enforcer that he doesn't want, he manages to convince his "mom" to send him to Beacon. Fortunately, it didn't take much convincing.
Sachie Mata was raised in the White Fang. Her mentor and closest thing she has to a father, a very important person in the Fang who is only known as The Old Wolf Lupa, betrayed her on a non physical level. She was let go, and she's out for revenge. She also knows that if she tries to fight him, it won't end well. Thus, Beacon.
Sable Palan has grown up poor with a father that gambles and drinks in equal measure, quadruplet sisters, a younger brother, and a mom who works two jobs. Not what many would call pleasant. So when his father wins big and realizes just what he's put his family through, he starts to get clean. This allows not only the Palan family to move to a higher place in Mistral, but also allows Sable to go to Beacon now that their place of residence isn't always under threat of break in. He's there for his family and himself, simple.
Now, why am I making this post? I dunno, not entirely. The actual over arcing plot brings in the Fang as the primary antags. Basically, it went from "Civil Rights Movement" to "Violent Terrorist Organization that seeks equality" to "Burn the system down, rebuild it in the Master Race's favor". The plot kicks in at the very end of Volume one, which introduces and establishes the primary protagonist cast.
Again, I don't entirely know why I made this post, but here we are.

So i'm in the middle of writing a fic called RWBY: The Wolf of Avalon and the Curse of the Dark Crown (a RWBY x Destiny fic) and just had some questions regarding this AU, one where Roman survives.
I'm trying to run through a couple ideas as to what Roman would do if he survived his Griffon encounter. General idea is that Dr Merlot saves him and tells him the state of affairs after Beacon fell, this'll be around the starting time of my fic, a month or maybe 2 after Beacon fell. So now what would Roman do? Would he try to find Neo in Vale since it's likely she'd hide out in safe houses waiting for him? Or if Neo has already left Vale would he just try to find a way to Mistral to lay low for a while? Regardless of him meeting Neo in Vale or not, would he try to get revenge on Ruby for being the cause of his close encounter with death? Cinder is obviously gonna be a target for him. If he stays in Vale for a while, what would he be doing if he somehow gets people in his corner to try and reestablish his empire, whether they be Junior's group or any WF in Vale still sowing chaos?
This is in regards to Blake prior to her departure for Menagerie. Obviously we know that she leaves on a boat for Menagerie and we see her on a boat in V4. Now i'm just trying to figure out as to what she could be up to while waiting for the situation in Vale to settle down to allow her an opportunity to get on a boat to Menagerie. Would she just from the shadows help out innocent Faunus being harassed by anti-faunus groups or attackers, maybe take her anger out on any WF remnants that are patrolling the area or if there are any WF deserters could she help them out? Essentially the idea with her is just exploring what she did in Vale not long after Beacon fell. And the major thing that leads her to leave will be my idea of "Dark Yang" (corrupted by a cybernetic arm mixed with Hive/Grimm magic) as Yang would be hunting WF members in search of Adam and trying to find Blake to bring her back home.
So any suggestions or thoughts?
for clarity, Dr Merlot is a character from the game RWBY Grimm Eclipse, where he was modifying Grimm after capturing them, instead of red eyes, they had green eyes. and according to the wiki, they were slightly stronger than normal grimm and in my fic Merlot is involved with the cult i'm working. so by extension if Roman were to return his operations in Vale he'd technically be in bed with the cult until figuring out as to who and what they are. the cult themselves is basically a Hive cult on remnant and they are doing hive stuff, simple as that really lol.
It’s a decently long one about an OC with the gamer system, but he’s part leviathan or something. The main pairing is ruby rose.
I like Weiss. Suggest me your favorite Weiss stories. Preferably White Rose or Weiss x OC
Howdy!
Writing a fanfic, or, at least planning it till I get through my finals at Uni; and I’m writing a VERY damaged Ruby Rose as the Summer Maiden in this fic as Blake’s first mystery interest, later to be love interest.
Big issue is, how the powers are personified: the wiki states it HAS to be elemental, but conversely, it manifests uniquely in each individual, and some are easier to preform than others for some individuals. Most of the story will be entirely Blake’s POV, with some exceptions, but the very first time she displays anything that can’t be explained with aura or semblance is grabbing Blake’s computer and Scroll and causing them to burst into flames. I’m leaning on electricity, BUT, I already have that accounted for in Nora(also a maiden and conflict as she’s hated by Emerald, but that’s a longer story.)
Point is, I’m trying to figure out if she should have overlap, or, have an entirely unique way of showing her powers:
Raven was shown to be able to create storms and freeze Cinder with just a touch. Cinder is, obviously, entirely fire, similar to Autumn, but she made a storm as well. Fria… well, we know she was bonkers powerful after a lifetime. Ruby’s been the summer maiden since… Summer’s death at the hands of Tyrian Callows at 4 years old, and hiding her powers most of her life.
I’m debating between heat, static, wind, I’m not entirely sure. Any ideas are appreciated!
Has anyone ever written a fic using the characters of RWBY and story elements similar to arcane?
I was watching season 2 of arcane and it occurred to me that Vi reminded me a lot of Yang, from her fighting style to her love of her sister etc.
Cait gives me some Weiss vibes ( if her family wasn't the complete worst) so I'm picturing freezerburn story where yang meets weiss and together the go looking for Yang's lost sister after the death of tai and being separated for years. Maybe ruby got picked up by torchwick and instead of neo being his partner it's ruby. Neo had had shown in her novel with Roman that initially "Neo"was a separate person in Trivia's mind so maybe have Neo be a second persona Ruby takes on in a way similar to how Powder becomes Jinx.
Obviously I don't think an exact copy paste of arcane's story is a good idea but I'm curious as to what that kind of story set in remnant with the rwby cast would be like.
