Left picture is from summer 2021, I was stressed af over a 10yr relationship break-up, fat, pre-diabetic, and actually went on to have a stroke just 3 months later in October ‘21 that left me with some right sided weakness.
The right is today 🥲 progress is slow, but being made. Do

Went through a lot of ups and downs throughout this time, but I just tried to stick with my small changes every day. Right now I’m trying to use some tough times as motivation to build muscle and come back better than ever. Hopefully I can make another post here in a few months! I just want to practice self-love and be at peace.
Exactly one year of lifting progress! Lifting 5 days a week!
30 or so more pounds to go to get to my dream body but finally starting to feel comfy in my skin.
Lighting difference certainly helps both pictures but some improvement regardless
13 month difference
First pic is December 2023 second is today. Lost ~108 lbs since January 2024. Current weight is 172 lbs. I did get the gastric sleeve done though, but started lifting weights in April ‘24. I just started leg workouts a month ago, I was so heavy I had really bad knees but the weight loss has been amazing on them and now I’m able to exercise them.
Been grinding

I know I post a lot, sorry. I'm just so proud of how far I've come. I know some people might be annoyed. Don't worry, soon I won't ever have to post again! lol (hopefully)
I previously posted my total weight loss. I actually got down to as low as 150lbs before building back up.
Sometimes I don’t think you can even tell I’ve lost weight. I’m so glad I took before pictures, I wish I would have taken them sooner. I started at 327lbs but didn’t take pictures until I hit 300 because honestly I couldn’t stand to look at myself. I’ve always been overweight but after having 3 children in 6 years time and experiencing multiple deaths in my immediate family one right after the other; I gained over 100lbs. I’m 40lbs away from my pre-pregnancy weight from over 6 years ago and I don’t plan on stopping there.
I’ve been on my fitness journey for about 8 years, but these pics are 2 years apart. I started lifting/doing hypertrophy more often and cleaned up my diet! I do CrossFit+lifting 3 times a week and running+hypertrophy 2 times a week. I also stretch a lot and try to get at least 8 hours of sleep!
Joined a gym 11 months ago today and have lost ~80 lbs since. Really proud of how far I’ve come. Thought I’d post my progress in here since lots of my motivation came from seeing other people’s success. Hoping to provide a spark for anyone thinking about starting their weight loss journey because it has truly changed my life.
Most of this came in the first 6 months (around 50 lbs). 1600 calorie high protein diet (lbs x .9 = grams of protein). Have recently started experimenting with adjusting my macros based on personal goals and focusing on the quality of the calories I’m putting into my body. 1600 calories was definitely aggressive at the start when I was heaviest, but has been sustainable at my new weight. I cook for myself with very simple dishes (grilled chicken, eggs, ground turkey).
Started with doing a basic weight lifting split around 3-4 times a week. Low impact cardio 4-5 times a week. After I lost 50 lbs I took up running/jogging as a hobby which helped get over the hump with the next 30 lbs along with improving my body composition. I’ve dabbled with other fitness activities such as boxing, pickleball, and any activity that gets you moving around. I take creatine as well, which has been a huge difference maker in the gym as a started seeing increased strength within 2-4 weeks.
If there’s anything I missed feel free to reach out. I’m not an expert, but I can certainly share things that worked for me.
