I struggle with high protein low sugar options here for meal prep.
The caveat here is that I go to the gym on the way to work in the morning so I would need to have it in a lunchbox.
Homemade protein bars have worked before too.
How to combat this? I feel like it’s an impossible problem. I don’t like freezing things either and I don’t want to eat more than 3 of the same thing in a week.
I (23f) have always loved the idea of meal prep, but i’m am so avoidant of leftovers and i am ‘convinced’ that they grow bacteria and i’ll die the next day if i eat them. (exaggeration..kinda) Is there any tips to get over it and finally meal prep?
Dozen hard boiled eggs : Breakfast burritos with egg, spinach, cheese, hot sauce : Turkey wraps with provolone, spinach and honey mustard sometimes cut into pinwheels : Polish noodles
Already tired of them….😩
Hi guys I’m looking for healthy meal ideas that I can prep. I am a picky eater. My boyfriend isn’t but he works away for 3 weeks and is only home for 1 so it’s usually just me.
I don’t like onions or peppers which seems to be the biggest issue I feel like most recipes I find have one or both of it. I force myself to eat them from time to time but I really don’t like them I wish I did. I don’t like string beans cucumber, zucchini, pickles.
I do like raw broccoli, cooked or raw cauliflower, carrots, rutabaga, spaghetti squash, some tomato’s (I can be picky with them but I use baby tomato’s and tomato paste often), avocado, lettuce, spinach, cooked mushrooms, garlic, red or green cabbage (raw), edamame
I like pinto beans, rice, quinoa, potato, sweet potato. pasta I do like but wouldn’t be able to eat it too often.
I like beef, chicken and pork.
I know this is a lot and very specific but if anyone could help please let me know!!
For someone doing chemo who has completely lost her appetite. Ideally something that has leftovers for an office lunch. She normally eats steak / stir fry, smoothies etc.
I would really like to make some breakfast/snack burritos. However, every attempt they turn out soggy or dry or just not quite right texture wise. I’ve started just prepping filling and then rolling a fresh burrito but that is more time then I want to give alot of the time when it’s supposed to be a grab and go. So does anyone have any tips on how to thaw/heat them? Does a specific brand of shells work better?
Getting back into meal prepping and trying not to overwhelm myself!
My go-to's in the past are:
- bolognese with lots of vegetables grated in
- chicken fajita tray bake
- frittata
- beef stew w potato and carrot
- creamy tuscan chicken w sundried tomato
Hi everyone!
What is your favourite chicken breast recipe that you can eat every day and wont get tired of it ?
Does anyone have any ideas for meal prep ideas on a bulk with no eggs nuts or seafood?
Thought it would be nice to have one thread dedicated to sharing ideas of how to turn your Thanksgiving leftovers into meal prep. Got a good recipe to share?
I’ve got basically half a Turkey to figure out what to do with. My BIL smoked it so between that and the rub on it, i need slightly different ideas for what to make with it since I think it would be weird in my normal pot pie.
It looks a bit odd but it is the best recipe for meal prep. Goes amazingly hot with rice or potatoes or pasta and cold in sandwiches, as a main meal and as a snack. Easy to cook and you can go wild with your own addition of spices. High protein chicken loaf, baked in a bread loaf tin.

I’m starting to get back into the gym after a couple recent injuries from sports that I quit, I have yet to get physical therapy for one of my back. I realized I don’t know anything about food and what I should eat, I am 16M, I weigh roughly around 82-83KG and am 6’0-6’1 Ft, I want a meal that’s relatively easy to cook in big quantities every week that I can repeatedly eat over and over again, I know it sounds boring and a little depressing but I really don’t like not knowing what I’m gonna eat after the gym and trying to come up with something on the spot, I like to have a neat organized cycle that is reliable, if it’s as simple as meat, potatoes and greens in a divided container then I’ll eat it. Idk if that’s how it works but I don’t have any idea how to do this and what I mean by that is do it correctly.
Hi guys, i recently joined. I want to try meal prepping, but would like to know how to vary food recipes for daily consumptuon. Any way this can be done? For context, my partner's tastebuds are easily fatigued.
Hello hello! Does these appliances really save that much time/effort? I’m very comfortable with my pots and pans but I would love something to make the meal prep faster and tastier! Thank you in advance !!
This takes me like 4 hours to make! Any tips to increase cooking time?
I have been using cheaper silicone spatula's (well not totally cheap, I get the GIR or OXO ones) eventually they fray and split. I mix my meals in a large (7qt) mixing bowl, and I just want to move the food back down to the bottom to distribute it with a spoon/ladle. Just hoping someone might have a better suggestion. I came across pan and food scrapers. I am looking at the GIR one here just seeing if anyone else uses something similar. Thanks
I’m looking for some High protein (50G+) lunches that are decent cold as I’m a tradie who doesn’t often have a microwave. Preferably as low cal as possible too. No protein powders please
I wanted to cook and then freeze pearled couscous (specifically this one: https://www.neareast.com/products/pearled_couscous_basil), but I've never done it before and am worried it will become mushy when I reheat it. Does anyone have experience with this and/or can offer some advice?
Oh great reddit users bestow upon me your knowledge, anybody got some easy high protein meal ideas??? I’m not a chef by any means but I know my way somewhat around the kitchen lol still trying to learn more about culinary skills buuuuut yeah anything helps!!!
Looking to keep things light around the holidays. What do you usually do?
Right now we’re on:
I need some inspiration - what do you have on your list for between holidays so your pants still fit?
Basically the title. I want to meal prep lunch and dinner plus snacks. Should I just do it for Monday to Friday? Or 4 days at a time? Trying to work out the number of containers I need.
Hi guys, i want to start meal prep and confuse on how big the container should be?
I bought the container online as physical store one can be very expensive, so there's 3 option 640ml, 1040ml and 1520ml. Which one do u suggest? Or mind to share what ur container size is?
Chicken fajita meat that the butcher made for me, avocado, queso fresco, black beans, cilantro, flour tortillas.
