The chow mein at panda is literally like no other my question for any ex or current employees where can I get packages of these noodles please I am at your divine mercy
Is there Sichuan pepper in the orange chicken sauce? My tongue and mouth are tingly. I've never had a reaction like this before and I love Panda.
Update post from a previous post...so It's been a bit since I've started and I've had to almost force my training and beg people to show me how to rightfully do things from cleaning certain drink machines to knowing what solution to use for the windows. But...I don't know if suddenly we are over staffed but it feels like I have to squeeze my way into working the steam table. Is this normal?
My manager and the 20+ year workers keep trying to send me to clean, but I want to improve serving. I've studied a lot to be faster with orders, and my portions are good. The only times I have problems is when others try to jump onto the same order I am told to finish, and then we end up with duplicates because that other worker who jumps on simply doesn't think I'll do it...but I always do. Everyone is micro managing me, and I do really well when I am simply just serving a customer by myself. The other workers place things on random counters (usually when we need to restock something) and the cashier is constantly like "____, why is this plate here? I need to ring things up. You need to put it here until I ring it up." and all I can say is "____ placed this here, sorry."
There came a point where I had to back off because other workers were reaching over my spot on the line and simply filling orders for me...So I simply placed myself at the online orders station and started with bagging and double checking. In fact, when I got there, I was catching a lot of mistakes they were making when handing me "completed" orders. Then came the frustration of having to do a dining check only to return to online orders to see 5+ half made orders barely bagged and not checked. And I would have to chase down who made the bags for them to sign off, because my manager wanted those orders out ASAP and I didn't want to sign for orders I personally didn't have time to check.
I'm more than fine with the fast pace environment...but I feel so drained from working on a team that I feel like constantly sends me off to clean. I love cleaning...but I'm a worker too. Why is the just hired person (who is older than me) getting to run steam table? I mean, they are messing up a lot, but at least they get a chance...I feel like because I ask a lot of questions, I'm willing to listen, and I look a bit younger, that my team treats me like a kid intern even though it has been over 2 weeks...
Sorry...just a rant. Is this normal?!
I’ve been applying for a corporate position and it’s been a huge mess, to say the least. First, the recruiter I spoke to very clearly did not want to be at the interview. She was late, only gave short answers to my questions, and ignored my follow-up call and email. Then, I received an AI message about getting rejected because they’ve apparently been trying to contact me. I double checked my emails, and there were no communications from them. I also haven’t received any calls or voicemails from them, either.
Has anyone else had this kind of experience with Panda? Seems like they don’t have their shit together, tbh. Not gonna try to waste my time with Panda anymore, but I’m curious to see if this is the average experience.
I joined Panda since beginning of this year as a Counter help and was promoted as a Shift leader in a short period of time. I enjoyed the job but it is increasingly frustrating when the company keeps playing with my hours! Initially, they wanted to schedule more people to take care of the guests so our new hires was able to transition well and was very grateful on how Panda really takes care of the guests. THEN! they started asking us to cut down hours or headcount because we started overusing the hours to take care of the guests! so the new hires were struggling to adjust! AND THEN! they went back to allowing us to have an extra headcount! and recently! I just got notified that the company is AGAIN! WORKING ON CUTTING HEADCOUNTS TO SAVE LABOR! All of my team members are upset and people are quitting one at a time! ACOs, RDOs, VPs and Finance department, please make up your mind! we cannot keep having our hours change every week! we are relying on a stable income and stable hours! you pride yourself for paying more than other restaurants but the workload and expectations is so much more! I would rather work in Chik fil - a, get paid a lower per hour but still have an energy for a second job. THIS IS DRAINING! PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO CONTACT ME AS WELL SINCE I HAVE A FEAR OF LOSING MY JOB BY VOICING MY OPINION THROUGH SOCIAL MEDIA.
Is it true that every 3 months or so, panda does a reassessment on how you’ve been working and get possible pay raises?
I go in for my interview tomorrow and I'm curious I have 0g Gauges and I have a hand tattoo, nothing offensive, and I have a tiny little cross on my left index finger that probably won't even be noticed, I've been looking for the handbook and posts but nothing on the current situation of how they handle it?
Can anyone tell me how panda preview is? What happens after?
My daughter and her boyfriend ate at Panda Express in Roseville Galleria Mall yesterday and both have been throwing up all night. She is 16 and I have never seen her so sick. Do we need to report it somewhere because it does not seem like a coincidence.
I only have 2 hours of PTO, and I've worked for 8 months, averaging 35 hours for about 3 months and 25 before that. I've never used PTO. I'm not sure if only having 2 hours of PTO is right.
Probably weird and stupid question (sorry in advance) but I’m gonna ask anyway cause I take things literally. When getting the customized plate package, they are putting them into the catering trays correct? It’s named that way because it’s two entrees and one side the same way as a plate?
For context, I ordered Panda delivery last week. Through the official app, so no third party. Ordered a bigger plate, and two orders of cream cheese wontons. I received the complete wrong order (me and the other order had same first name, so understandable), which was a plate where none of the items were correct (and even messed up his order, his receipt showed a plate with rice, mixed veg, kung pao and teriyaki, but only had one order of kung pao. Just left the other part of the box empty).
I contacted them immediately through their "contact us", but haven't gotten anything back almost a week later. Should I contact them a different way?
What days are we closed?
Can I get my 107 hours PTO for 2 weeks vacation?
I called out sick this morning after running back and forth the the restroom barely making it for 2+ hours throwing up. My boss called a girl in to cover me but expects me to take a shift from her later this week now. Do I have to do that? I work a shit ton already and the days she offered me to cover are on days I can’t make it. She never asked me if that’s ok, just said okay I’ll have you swap with this coworker.
