Guillermo del Toro - the master of horror - presents a collection of unprecedented and genre-defining stories that will challenge our traditional notions of horror. Guillermo Del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities is an anthology of sinister stories, told by some of today’s most revered horror creators - including the directors of The Babadook, Splice, Mandy, and many more.

Hi, for my degree project, I would greatly appreciate your help by filling out this survey, which explores the emotional impact of fantasy films on viewers, focusing on the works of Guillermo del Toro. It won’t take much of your time, and your response will remain completely anonymous. I would also be grateful if you could share it with your family and friends, both nationally and internationally, to gather more responses from around the world. Thank you for your support!
I really wanna send him a letter, or even an email. He's such a huge inspiration to me and I don't know how to find where to send a letter or an email.
How do we think Del Toro will handle the look of the creature in Frankenstein? Throughout the development he’s mentioned the enormous influence Bernie Wrightson had on his vision. Some of the set and location shots are almost carbon copies of Wrightson illustrations. Do we think he’ll go for a full blown Wrightson look? Or perhaps design something completely new?

I haven't gotten the chance to see the movie yet but I skimmed through the soundtrack and couldn't find this. It's credited on youtube to someone other than the credited composer on Pan's Labyrinth. If it's not in this movie, do you know what it is from? I SWEAR I've heard it before.
I love and hate that he's working with Netflix, and wish he was making movies for universal. Even Disney.
Mr DelToro did a better pinoccio that didney, hope he can take snow white and make a better grim dark but magical one
I'd like to. It would be a shame if it were just streaming from now on.
I just watched Nightmare Alley tonight, I thought it was great. The cinematography and lighting was really brilliant, but they leaned very heavily on an art déco/20's inspired aesthetic despite it being set in the 40's. The clothes were a bit of a different case, but certainly the interior design as far as I could tell.
What are other peoples opinions on the movie? Not specifically related to interior design or style, of course.
Hi, all
I’m a Before and After School Care Worker from Sydney, Australia, and one of the kids I look after is a little boy who lives with colitis, and he’s scheduled to have surgery next year. He’s also a massive fan of Pacific Rim and regularly talks to me about the series whenever he can.
Just as a nice gesture to him, I was hoping to reach out to Guillermo and hopefully ask him for even just a get well message or something similar. If you guys know if Guillermo has an agent or a place where fans can submit questions or the like, I’d really appreciate it if you could let me know, or even better, if you know someone who knows someone who knows him
So, yeah, thanks all 🙏🏻
Couldn’t help myself. Drew this after the set photos came out.
@devinkberry on Instagram if you’d like to see more of my work 🙏🏻
I know pacific rim 3 kinda got shot down but they also did say they might even after the announcement of it getting taken down. Pacific rim 2 may not have been better then the first but I think they could bounce back with a third movie. Although I know there working on an Netflix anime for the origin of kaiju and yeah. We need a third and final installment it would definitely break the box office
I couldn't find a definitive answer online, but I was wondering if there were any clues/things I missed in the movie that identified a particular region/area in Spain where the movie is set.
Part of me thinks Galicia, only because of that one battle scene where Vidal's unit is advancing up a very wooded hill under rainy and foggy conditions. I hiked once through Spain (Camino de Santiago if anyone is familiar) and the landscape + weather combo REALLY lines up with the Galician countryside, at least in my view. Although, if I understand correctly that part of Spain was historically pretty aligned with the Nationalists during the Civil War.
Thoughts?
Hi, all. I am a budding horror fan with a big affinity for cosmic horror, religious themes and cool lookin monsters. (My fave horror movie so far is The Void). I saw Crimson Peak and Shape of Water years back on release (love) but I am just now watching Cabinet of Curiosities… holy shit. Every one of these episodes has been incredible. I am SO obsessed. What GDT pieces do I need to watch next??? Thank you all in advance
Thought you guys might appreciate my Crimson peak inspired tattoo.
It is a mix between two scenes:
The butterfly - is from the "beautiful things are fragile" scene with Lucille and Edith - The scene . I searched high and low for the exact species of butterfly Guillermo del Toro used but was unable to find any details and google lens search provided me with a bunch of options. An old world swallowtail was the closest thing to the one from the movie.
The quote - is from when Edith finds out the truth - The scene. This scene is one of my favorite of all time, love the way Lucille speaks and is displaying no emotions.
