Hello, I'm debating whether to book Hiyori Hotel Osaka-Namba near Namba Nankai Line or Sotetsu Grand Fresa Osaka-Namba near the Nippombashi Sakaisuji / Sennichimae line. The first one seems to be better as it is a non-smoking hotel but it will be quite a walk to the Namba Midosuji line. However, is the "close to everything" appeal and price of Sotetsu worth it? Thank you!

We have an early morning flight on Saturday, which requires for us to be at the airport by 8AM. From Shinsaibashi, what would be the best/most convenient way? I've tried looking for airport transfers but the cheapest I've found is around 26000JPY, would that be accurate? Thanks in advance!

My friend is coming to Japan (yay!) over the holidays, but her flight home from KIX is early on Jan 3rd. I was thinking of booking a hotel in Osaka the night before since we've got to travel from 2 hours away. But she'd like to spend some time in Osaka before she leaves. Are shops, restaurants, attractions etc open on Jan 2nd, with it being the New Year holidays?

Do you know any ticket free attractions like parks that we can walk into/past if places are closed?

Or am I overestimating how quiet New Year in Osaka is? I live in a much smaller town.

We can't do Osaka when she arrives because we've got to get to my place straight away for other events.

This might be like finding a needle in a haystack lol.. Last time I was in Osaka was in April 2017. There was this restaurant that we found as we were walking around. I don’t know what the restaurant is called but it was the best curry I’ve ever had! 🥲 I’m planning to go back to visit in a few months so I’m really hoping it hasn’t closed down. I’m having such a hard time looking for it on google and google maps. The location tagged on the photo I had said Osaka - Higashiobase. I’d appreciate any help or info! I’m almost giving up 😅

I am visiting Osaka next week, and I am gonna check out Vaperror, sage hardware & DJ CAMGIRL at HOKAGE in Amerika-mura next week on Nov 6th. I am super excited to see a show on my my trip!
I dont goto a lot of shows in general, I am a guy going solo but I dont speak Japanese, so I dont know really what to expect.

Spent three nights in Tokyo. Two nights in Yokohama. One night in Nikko and was going to spend two nights but left early because of the weather effecting the plans I had. I’m staying near Namba Station. Probably see Himeji Castle and hang out in Kobe tomorrow. Then spend a day in the area and leave the first for Hiroshima. Then back to Osaka, Kinosaki, Kyoto, Tokyo. Anything worthwhile inside if it’s raining hard? 6 hours of train rides and been drinking since I got on the train.

I'm sleeping days due to work so I'm awake on days off from around 9pm to 10am.

I don't like to party and such so I'm wondering what kind of night life you might suggest? What time to non-club type bars stop serving?

Where do you get breakfast at 9pm :)

It's my 3rd Osaka, I hate shopping, crowded places, theme park but I like cycling, gaming, cheap local traditional food and outdoor kindda person. Any good suggestion that are locals favourite places?

Planning a trip to Japan for next year and I was wondering if anyone knows if you’re allowed to bring a camera into Universal Studios for filming and taking pictures?

I’ve seen several YouTube videos of people filming inside, but wasn’t sure if they are with phones or cameras.

Camera is a Sony A7 and I’d also bring a lens if that helps.
