The LBB Transition Tote is a really interesting pack, technically. They just came out with that slate grey and I was giving it another look. There aren't too many reviews of the bag online; could anyone give a short review?
Hello I’ve been in the market for a waxed canvas backpack. I think I’ve settled on one from Waterfield Designs. But I am conflicted on the canvas type. I love the uniqueness of the blue but I think the brown is more universal if that makes sense. Any thoughts? Another waxed canvas that has caught my eye is the Trakke Bannoch but it’s out of my price range unfortunately.
i'm looking for recommendations for a smaller personal-size backpack that fits Air France's dimensions: 15.7H x 11.8W x 5.8D in
i got the osprey 26+6 but unfortunately i think it's too big :(
I'm hoping that Vanquest has a Black Friday sale, so I can pick up an Envoy 13 and some accessories.
Who has typically run Black Friday specials? What's on your list?
Howdy. I’ll be in San Fran for a full day. I was going to check out AER. Any other bag stores yall would recommend? Thanks!

Does anyone have both of these bags and can explain something to me? The websites state that the Wotancraft is 3.5L but the Arc'teryx is 2.5L, however the dimensions on the websites show that the Wotancraft is 20x11.5x18.5 cm and the Arc'teryx is 21.5x25.5x10 cm.
This means that the Arc'teryx bag is bigger but it's smaller capacity. Is this true?
Looking for recommendations for a compact backpack to be used for work, and personal bag for travel. Listing down below things I usually bring for work and travelling alongside specifications I could work with as there isn't much bag shops near me to try out backpacks.

I've been eyeing the Aer City Pack, Everki Studio Slim, and the upcoming Wandrd Nimbus as some of my choices.
I'm looking for a smaller bag that will primarily be used as a waist bag. I've tried and tried and tried to use slings, but I can't get past the annoyances I feel with the strap inevitably rubs against my neck.
I currently use the Blue Ridge Overland Gear Bum Bag and love its dimensions, 7"x5"x2".

I use it to carry my key fob, wallet, gum, ear plugs, and a hank. So, I don't need much space. My only complaint is that it is a single pocket, so things are constantly moving around and I have to dig for them more than I'd like.
Anyone have a recommendation for a similar-sized bag that has the same kind of "rugged" look to it but also has at least one more pocket?
Hi everyone, I apologise in advance for the wall of text 😅 I have an Aer TP3 (cordura) that I love for travelling since it allows me to only bring that for almost every destination. It has only one main drawback that I found till now, it is too big once arrived to destination as daybag (I’ve already tried compressing it with the side straps). To note that I use a small camera cube (like the PD small/smedium dimensions) for my mirrorless (Fuji xh-1).
I’m looking for a complementary bag for the Aer. I’m open to slings and smaller backpack but I’ve yet to find the optimal solution. I’ve excluded packable bags since usually have thinner straps where I’m not able to attach the capture clip (this is a must). For the same reason I’m on the edge about slings like tomtoc t33 which is awesome for many things but I don’t know if it fits my need. Another thing that I’m not sure about slings is how comfortable they are carrying them around all day walking. Backpacks like the aer go 2 or the moment mtw 17/21 seemed very interesting for my needs but I didn’t quite find the information I was looking for (like how flat they can get or how comfortable they get when loaded).
My daily carry while travelling is usually the camera cube (XH1 + 16-55 + 35 1.4, some batteries), a bottle of water, sunglasses, keys, wallet/passport, smartphone, power bank with cable, airpods, small gel to clean hands, sometimes a hoodie.
To conclude I’m open to suggestions about slings and or bags that can lay flat (or close to that) inside the TP3 (it would be a dream if it can fit inside the laptop section). Thanks in advance
Looking for a daily backpack similar to the following packs. What I like about these packs are that they're boxy, have a big front opening and front compartment, a dedicated laptop compartment, bottle holder, load lifters (gr1 and rainmaker) but
Goruck gr1 - too expensive Gr136 rainmaker - too heavy and a bit short length wise (1.4kg) (also I'm from a SEA country so I suspect shipping would come out cheaper) Dsptch day pack - the light weight alternative but kinda pricey as well.
I really just want the rainmaker but lighter. Price and features are all good, the shortness i can let go off but the weight is kinda of a deal breaker at 22l. If anyone has any experience doing their wildcard custom about lessening thr weight that would be cool to hear about. Not really sure where else to look would love to hear suggestions or experience with the rainmaker and it's weight
Hi all,
Wondering on some advice - a family member of mine had this bag given to them as a gift a long time ago, and it had been sitting in a box, under the bed inside the dust cover. I've tried to find a price for it, but I can't - only that it was an exclusive drop through Carryology.
I don't have any real use for the bag so ultimately would love to know the rarity of the bag.
Thanks in advance.
I've been looking around Amazon for a replacement for my old messenger. She's still holding up well, but it's getting annoying how I can't fit all my stuff in it without it feeling like an overstuffed pinata.
I just want something that could probably hold phone, a wallet, a small notebook, a power bank and the cord, as well as a maybe a few more nicknacks like keys, coins and the occasional earbuds.
I'm looking at two bags right now, but open for others? Just want something that's leather. The first one has some problems with the zippers which isn't a deal breaker for me, though it is concerning. While the other one isn't that reviewed that much? Need some opinion on it.
My budget is around 70ish USD. Not a whole lot to be honest
I have two Cravar messenger bags - which have been used sparingly! My assignment (@vietnam) is over and I am moving back home! Would like to offload the bags if possible! Request if anyone can suggest appropriate website/ online platform to do so !
Hey everyone! I'm searching for alternatives to the DLBC that are similarly compact (around 8-12L). The DLBC dimensions (14.2" x 10.2" x 3.9") are perfect, but I'm not crazy about their current color options, and I've read some concerns about TB products delaminating over time.
Currently own the Manhattan Portage Tribeca and Chrome Midtown which I love, but they're often too big for my minimal carry needs (don't use laptops several days a week). Main requirements:
Any suggestions? Thanks!
I can't seem to find hands on pics of it anywhere. Someone posted their grey and it looks way darker in person than the website.
Such a rad little pack
Hey guys,
I’m planning a trip to Japan later this year, and I’m going to be bringing two bags, one 50L check-in bag (think like a hiking bag), and one smaller daypack. I don’t really want to be carrying around both at the same time, so I’m looking for a daypack this can be stowed in the larger pack when need be.
I’ve been looking around, and have found some different ends of the spectrum, with the Aer Go Pack 2 being comfortable, but not super packable, and the Tortuga packable backpack being exceedingly packable, but not as comfortable.
I’ll be walking around a lot, so comfort is a priority, but I’m worried I won’t be able to fit a less packable bag like the Aer Go 2 in my larger bag (especially when it’s full of souvenirs). How packable do you guys find it? Is it generally a problem? Additionally, how much less comfortable is a bag like the Tortuga packable? Is it worth the extra space?
Thanks for your opinions!
Anybody have som real world experience with the Solgaard Optimist?
I want an extra tough brief case / messenger bag that will spend a majority of its life as an office briefcase (but the ability to convert to a travel bag is a nice plus).
The X-Case has the look of what I want, but I’m having sticker shock and I’m also just suspicious that the toughness won’t correspond to that price.
Currently have a timbuk2 but I feel it is too floppy . Also have a knack, but it’s also floppy (and not exactly super tough).
Suggestions?
Hey guys - I’m currently on the hunt for a new travel sling bag. My old one was just a regular Uniqlo crossbody bag and am wanting to upgrade because I’d like a little bit more organization within the bag.
Currently looking at both the Alpaka Go Sling and Bellroy Lite Sling but wanted to get everyones thoughts on the pros and cons of each bag. 🙏🏻
thank you!
Hi everyone. I've narrowed down options for my next backpack and I'm looking for a light/positive roast on my reasoning and any options I haven't considered. Sorry for a TL:DR post
Looked at AER, Goruck, Nomatic, Bellroy, various military style brands. Either not my style, too generic and/or won't fit my laptop. Looking for something with a nice textile feel/quality up to about €400 with shipping and a 19% VAT/import duties.
Use case: -tech centered EDC with: *16" gaming laptop that's both wider and taller then the ubiquitous Macbook that's used as a template on product specs. Along with accompanying chunky charger with permanently attached cable. *Non collapsible over ear headphones *A couple of novels *Power bank for phone -Additional when travelling: *Travel documents and printed tickets (plane, trains,...) *Extra money *Phone charger + adapter *Space for potential purchases
Backpacks -Peak Design Everyday Backpack 30L (coyote) *Direct side access for headphones *Verified laptop dimensions *Magnets *Colourway and details #Cons: chunky silhouette, potentially uncomfortable(?), clunky organisation for flatter stuff.
-Black Ember Forge 30 Max *Handles and carrying options galore *Supposedly great materials *Verified laptop dimensions *Cyberpunk look without going overboard #Cons: mesh pockets for organisation look clothes focused, rest of space is one big area (don't mind the extra weight of the backpack)
-Alpaka Elements Travel Backpack (Mojave Edition) *Organisation galore *Nice(ish) look, colourway and silhouette *Interior material looks better(?) #Cons: no organisation for non small/larger items, potentially more generic materials
-Boundary Supply Prima System *Access looks interesting *Comes with dedicated accessories/pouch #Cons: Access might not be convenient
I'm looking for a travel backpack—something in the max carry on size: 40-45 liter. I've got some specific criteria that seem simple, but combined are really limiting the options. I'd appreciate thoughts anyone might have.
-Not Clamshell.
-External Compression straps.
-Trolly Strap
-Not black
-Not stupid expensive. ($250 USD starts to push it)
I have an eBags Motherload, which is fine, but for the lack of trolley strap. I love my Osprey Porter 65—the 46 would be great, but for the same issue.
Would anyone happen to know if they changed the material for the mesh itself for the Raven backpacks? (I know they switched to mesh but I am referring to the mesh itself) I had read about some people having issues with the mesh affecting their clothes and it didn't do anything to others.
The reason I am asking is because I took a chance and ordered the 20L version and the mesh was pretty soft. Unfortunately it was a little too small for my laptop so I returned it and ordered the 28L version. I just received the 28L and the mesh was way scratchier than the 20L. I know it isn't just in my head because I asked my wife to check it and the first thing she mentioned was how rough the straps felt.
I was wondering if I should just try returning the 28 and getting a new from somewhere else or if I should just look for another bag because I don't want it to mess up the clothes I wear to work. (I am assuming that there isn't a way to soften them) Anyone have experience with this?
