- Content relating to story aspects of No Man's Sky must be contained within Spoiler Tags.
- Spoilers in titles can not be edited or marked as spoilers after they are posted. These will be removed.
- Any pre release information not by Hello Games is not allowed. e.g. data mined or unofficial leaked information.
- Speculation & discussion about future releases is allowed.
Not about No Man's Sky
- Anything not related to No Man's Sky the game will be removed.
- Avoid theological, social, political, or otherwise unrelated debates, which will be removed.
- "In real life" pics and memes are allowed as long as they are directly relevant to NMS.
User's 1st post to NMSTG
- The first post to the sub from every op is removed from view and sent to the moderators for approval.
- This is a spam prevention measure we take to prevent bots from posting to the sub.
- Please be patient about your post being approved since moderators aren't always available.
Posting Standards
- Low-effort/low-quality posts, recent reposts, or basic macros are subject to removal at Moderator discretion.

The Cursed Metal Bones Bug
I just finished the quest got the tainted metal, Capitans log and the other 2 objectives. Come to the space station and the quest items (captains log etc) are all gone. It now wants me to restart the mission over again.
I go back to the derelict freighter but now when I tried to interact with the logs etc it does count towards the quest and now I’m in limbo. I don’t know what to do to move forward :(

Bug? Frigate refiners
Does anyone else experience bug with frigate refiners? My items occasionally dissappear.
Both the inputted and output items are keep disappearing. This happened on single game sessions. I did not exit the game, and did not leave to title/main menu page.

New player did an oopsie.
So I finished the expedition, was a fun experience... but.. I left the reward translucent buddy egg on the ship that I had... it got converted into units. Could someone pm me a steam or nms friend code and hand me another egg please :(

This seems to be the only way I can use the Elixir. It’s all bugged for me. I have to get there, and THEN the prompt for me to use it comes up. Stupid.

How do I get the expedition award back?
I forgot to swap my ship to the award ship at the end of the expedition and I can only get this one, I've also checked my docked ships and It isn't there

Updated: I claimed before the patch and then it didn’t work and then I came to know there is a glitch. So now after the patch I want to reclaim it if possible.

Do all s class ship have 120 inventory slots?
I have been using a sentinel ship for most of my new game since I got back in to the game. I was wondering if all s class have the same inventory slot. The big ones that I'm wondering about are the starborn runner and the iron vulture. I don't have them just yet but will get them eventually.

Has it ever happened to you that you enter the Anomaly and meet another player who has almost the same exo-suit design? Sometimes it's fun, but then you get tired of how often it happens. What do you think?? Very few options to choose? My likes are too common? Players try to anoing other players? Btw, the community is great, no complain about it, just asking...

Which is a better way to make money
Been trying to make money in nms to build a new starship and also buy a freighter. Just didn't know which of the 2 options was easiest. Out of mining on planets and selling natural resources or trying to figure out how to become a farmer (if someone could tell me how that would be great) I don't know if I'm ready for combat yet. Any advice is appreciated.

What do I do?
This might be a silly question, I haven't played in ages, jumped in for the Halloween stuff as I'm a sucker for cosmic horror. That's finished, my save has been apparently converted, what now?
Would people recommend jumping over to a fresh start and claiming the funky ship and stuff from there? I'm not really sure where I'm meant to be going or what I'm meant to be doing.

HG, please give us a way to terraform
The devs have already demonstrated their ability to completely decimate entire planets with a single patch.
I would love for the devs to give us a way to change the color of the grass, the sky, and manage the weather on a planet.
I know that RNG is a big part of NMS but a lot of us have lost our "homes" in the name of pretty water effects.

So um, the egg sequencer is now duping eggs?
This is on expedition. For some reason the moment I access the egg sequencer there's already an egg there along with a piece of geodesite. When I exit out, the egg is added to my inventory.
It doesn't seem to be a visual glitch since I checked the save and it's there. I seem to be able to do it infinite about of times. Is this a known bug?
