17 hours in. Only found 1 paradise planet and it sucked💀 I find navigating galaxies to be overwhelming. My plans are to find a replica of Pandora and build a base to live in peace and paradise ❤️

Found an S class pirate freighter on the third try. Wasn’t even hunting them. Just headed towards the center of the galaxy and destroyed pirate frigates on the way just in incase I found one. Didn’t expect to actually find one. I had previously settled for a class A… How rare is this?

I’ll post part 2 soon. The main quest leaves a lot to be desired in gameplay, but the writing really connects with me!

got started on the they who return quest, when I get to the place required, and talk to the head, I pick every dialog option with the head but it wont change its dialog to the one that's required making ke stay stuck on 'poke, scan, talk' any help would be great.

What's the best strategy for getting a lot of these items?

Hey everyone I've recently made it to the 2nd galaxy the other day (Hilbert) and I'm trying to reach the 10th whatever it's called. Is there a way to quicky jump to the center of each galaxy? I read somewhere if you put all sunset glyphs it takes you to the center of just about every galaxy can anyone confirm? Or is there specific addresses for each one? Thanks!

My original paradise planet got nuked with the Worlds update so after more than a week of searching for a new one, I moved here and found a settlement. With my previous settlement I used the trick of building the base computer out of the settlement boundaries and then using small triangles to stretch the base computer range to engulf the settlement. This worked perfectly and I had a large and sprawling settlement that I had added to with paths, decorations, etc.

So after finding the new settlement I started adding some stuff - some paths and a little bit of decoration, mostly trees and a couple of signs. My spouse also added a few lights but that was only to connect to the nearest electromagnetic hotspot. The hotspot was annoyingly 60u out of the max 1000u range from the base computer but he managed to glitch build it on there and connect wiring all good. He left it there and I decided to go deal with my old settlement before doing any more new work such as getting power all the way down to the settlement.

I jumped to my now ruined settlement to disassemble it (sad but necessary). After deleting that base and a few others, I came back to my new settlement and noticed the trees were missing. I reloaded thinking they just hadn't loaded in properly but they were still gone. I then noticed ALL the decorations were gone. Annoying but not a huge deal as hadn't done much. All the base parts were still there such as the paths, low walls, the lights my spouse put in, etc. Weirdly I was also unable to bring up a proper build menu - all I got was the portable technologies tab (the usual first tab) and glitches. Not bug glitches but decorative glitches. There was a tab for glitches but it was the only other tab there. And also weirdly it was telling me I could build 873 glitches even though I don't remotely have that many glitches. Thankfully that has since resolved and I was able to build in the settlement again. I don't know what resolved it because that glitch remained even after reloads.

I decided to go instead build a lighthouse over the base computer which was built on an island at the entrance of the harbour the settlement is next to. That was all fine. I only did the structure plus a some lanterns (the non-powered sodium kind).

That was it for yesterday. Today I loaded up the game again. Decorations in the settlement are still missing. I test by replacing 4 trees (3 the same as the previous ones and one different) and reloading. The three trees the same as I originally put in disappeared and the only one left was a different one.

Thinking it was a mod issue (since I use Exosolar's Beyond Base Building mod), I disabled all mods before doing further testing. Disabling mods did not bring back any of the missing decorations.

More testing required. I wondered if it was something to do with expedition or quicksilver unlocks. So I tested with a variety of items, some new, some old stuff, a few base parts. I also made sure that resource costs were indeed being removed from exosuit.

As you can see from the screen shots, it's a pretty weird assortment of things that have disappeared. Base parts seem to be completely fine, just decorative stuff disappears. But I couldn't see any pattern to what disappeared and what didn't. For example, an old decal was gone but the Aquarius Expedition decal was fine. Cave Creeper stayed but the lantern and new signs disappeared.

Further testing, I went to the Space Anomaly and unlocked both some quick silver items, checked that all my previous unlocks are still unlocked (they are) and bought some more parts and decorations with Salvaged Data.

I don't know if it's something of note but the lanterns (the same as the one I placed in the settlement that disappeared) near the base computer are still there.

Does anyone else have this issue or had this issue? Were you able to fix it and if so what did you do?

Pretty gutted that after searching through many many hundreds of systems to find the right planet, I now can't even enjoy the fruits of my labour by building up and decorating my base and settlement :(

EDIT: Further testing, this time with the gBase Boundaries mod which forces the minimum base limit to 2000u (4000u diametre) and all decorative items have reappeared. Disable the mod and most things disappear again, however more decorations stay behind than before enabling that mod. Additionally, if I build things within 300u (the initial base limit) of the base computer and the change the texture/colour of items, the rendering of the altered colours is flakey - if I look away or through water, the newly applied colour resets to the previous colour. Walking further away and the altered textures/colours become patchy in what the game chooses to display. Reloading fixes this patchiness.

So the bug seems to be actually something to do with base limit rendering of decorative items and colours/textures. I still can't find a consistent pattern in what renders correctly and what doesn't however. Even the initial 300u limit is affected. Uploading the base to the servers doesn't fix it.

My friend is trying to join me but there is no option for multiplayer. As soon as he “clicks start” on the first page when booting up the game, it brings him straight to the select a save file page. I have seen things about enabling multiplayer in network settings, but he doesn’t have a network section.

I quite literally don’t know what to do. Any advice would be appreciated. Edit: we are both on PC playing through pc gamepass.

I’ve tried for hours to get one to no avail… anybody have a spare?? Need to fix my fav flyer… willing to trade 😉🖖 (PS5) or point me to a good plan of action…
