Location: Various businesses throughout New Ziki City (Please do not upload any bases! The city will overwrite it so no one will see it.)

Description: Market Days are an economically-focused event. The goal is to have multiple player-owned HubCoin (or barter) businesses set up for business on a single day. The benefits of this are twofold:

• For Shoppers: By having multiple vendors online at the same time, you can purchase products without needing to arrange meet-ups like you normally would. Everyone is already in the same location, making shopping far more convenient. Vendors are also encouraged to offer special discounts during Market Days, though not all shops will necessarily participate.

• *For Vendors: By having interlopers in the city ready to shop, vendors can benefit from something nearly unheard-of in the simulation: foot traffic. Instead of needing to advertise, you can just announce that your shop is open for business and reasonably expect people to come by and shop. Offering a discount will increase the draw. HUBTalks

First Sunday of Every Month, Timing Varies

Location: NZC Speaking Hall (located on the mountain above the Museum of Interloper Art), Art & Event District, New Ziki City (Please do not upload any bases! The city will overwrite it so no one will see it.)

Description: HUBTalks are monthly scheduled speaking events. The topics must relate to the Galactic Hub, No Man's Sky, science, science fiction, art, or technology. This usually includes lectures, demonstrations, or guides, but could also include comedy or other entertainment relating to those topics.

Minigame / Sports Night

Second Saturday of Every Month, 6 PM Pacific

Location: (Exact location varies), New Ziki City (Please do not upload any bases! The city will overwrite it so no one will see it.)

Description: The Minigame / Sports Night focuses on non-combat sports - which doesn't mean non-competitive, it just means you won't be using your Multi-tool weaponry on anyone. Common choices for Minigame / Sports Night include Shield Wrestling at the Leviathan Sports Arena in the Art & Event District, Traveler Hockey at the Leviathan Sports Center, Clover at Caesarus's Palace Casino in the Commerce District (gambling optional), or hide-and-seek throughout any specific district (must turn markers off).

Art Museum Day

Description: Have a night on the town with your fellow interlopers in this nightlife event. I'm about 80 hours in on a new playthrough. I've done almost everything I can, but build my main base because I'm wanting it on the capital planet or at least in the same system. I've been holding off because it seems like things might drastically change with the update (see: Drogradur) and the capital planet will once again need to be changed.

I was recently playing the game when a friend told me about this Companion Item. I was told the only way I can obtain it is from an Egg another player creates? It was also suggested I check this community for help in this endeavor. If anyone is running one of these worm nurseries I would appreciate an adoption application, I will treat him very well. 😉

Introduction

Greetings interlopers, and welcome to HALLOWEEN MONTH, aka HUB MONTH! For those who don’t know, the Galactic Hub was founded on October 30th. This year will mark 8 years of exploring together! Traditionally, we celebrate this by going all-out with Halloween events all month, plus a specifically Hub-focused event on the actual day of Founding Day.

This month’s Halloween activities will feature multiple chances to win prizes, including physical prizes like stickers, pins, or comic books! Halloween-themed Companion Eggs will also be passed out generously all month by Galactic Hub staff - but there’s a limit of 1-egg-per-interloper-per-event, so you’ll have to hit multiple events to collect them all! And of course, many events will present opportunities to earn HubCoin.

Maybe multiplayer events aren’t your thing though. No problem - you can also earn the various Hub Month prizes by completing the Halloween-themed Miskatonic City and/or upcoming Overgrown Isle narratives!

There will also be Star League competitive events every weekend, consisting of the usual multi-tool / starship PVP, starship / exocraft racing, or minigames. This month’s usual New Ziki Monthly Events will largely be canceled to allow Hub staff to focus on our Halloween celebrations, but we’ll still be going to the big city on occasion this month!

• OCT 1st - PUMPKIN PATCH COLONY OPENS - Continuing a Hub tradition, we will be opening an open-build, unlimited-settlement, Halloween-themed colony as the first event of this month. • OCT 20th - TOTOKENN CITY TRICK-OR-TREAT - Haunt the streets of the Hub’s oldest city, Totokenn City! • OCT 26th - HAUNTED HOUSE TOURS - Tour the builds of the Haunted House Colony, passing through each attraction with a group of friends! In some cases, the architect - or the resident ghosts - may be around to walk you through the experience. After the tour, a vote for Best Haunted House will open! — PRIZE: Anyone who attends the tour has a chance to score an Eldritch Worm egg or a Worm of Sight egg! • OCT 31st - HAPPY HALLOWEEN! - No official events will be scheduled on Halloween as many people will be out haunting and spooking. If you find yourself around Hub space on this day, jump in Discord Voice Chat and check out the various Halloween-themed locations we’ve visited throughout the month!

NEW DISCORD EVENT SYSTEM

We're updating our Discord Event system due to Discord making the in-app Event Calendar less prominent! We'll now be using Groupflows bot.

All events will now be posted in the #announcements channel both when the event is initially announced, with a reminder some time (usually 30 minutes) before the event begins.

One other major benefit of this new event system is that certain events can allow people to vote for their preferred time for an event.

This is all being done with the goal of getting our already-excellent events an even larger turnout. So, show up for the Hub next month! Good journeys interlopers!

Pilgrimage Day 1 & 2

The Warptreader arrived in the Kimita System comprising of two planets each orbited by a small moon. As the first known traveller to visit I felt duty bound to survey the local lifeforms, I also needed to take on pyrite for the hydroponics bay in order to keep my star bulb crop healthy. Plant life was of the ringed giant was comprised of strangely twisting, kelp-like structures. Lifeforms were varied and interesting, have enclosed images in the data-packet. Sentinel activity moderate. Megafauna present: Sandworm (The Consumer) Scans indicated several illusive underground life-forms so research post established for a return expedition.

While the exploration was stimulating, the Hub calls and I have many jumps ahead of me.

Hello fellow anomaly! I am not sure if this has been knowledge before. But I found out that if you are in a space sentinel engagement and the capital sentinel ship has cargo holds on its side (shown in pic). If you shoot these right when you kill the ship it will give you another go at fighting them again right after. Except this time instead of going through 5 stages you will only go through the last 3. So your skipping the first 2 stages everytime so you can save more time in your farming of gathering signals for your perfect ship. Again. Be RIGHT next to the cargo holds before killing the ship then when it is exploding, Aim and blow up the holds and you will see after that you will have a sentinel (2) warning that will start you off at 3 right after you get the reward. Happy hunting!!

Today begins my slow hard warp slog to Gwolver Sigma, I’m intending to upgrade my hyperdrive with longer range as I go. No black holes or gates.
