As a Belgian currently living in the US, I want to assure Utah fans. Jimmy is an incredible coach with the ability to coach young talent and really play on a huge level.
He went toe to toe with powerhouse Anderlecht with less money and quality. He built on talent especially up and coming girls who then were able to make incredible moves. I hope he could get one or two international players next year.
What y’all thinking Utah Fans?
Hi all, as above does anyone have any recommendations for places to watch the ACFC game in the San Diego area? Preferable La Jolla and surrounding? It’s showing on NWSL+ so chances are slim, but thought it was worth an ask anyway! Thanks in advance!

I'm wondering if anyone knows how to get access to the NWSL API feed. The sites that I thought would get me there are coming up empty, and I'm sure one exists. Any help would be appreciated. Ideally I'd like to access match information for a single team so I can feed it through to a screen I have in my house.
I can’t sleep so here I am! Another post to spur discussion!
When it comes to “who goes”, players that come to mind are older vets. I do think Horan and Lavelle will stay on for another cycle, performance permitting. However, Dunn and Sonnett, im not sure. Pretty sure this will be the last major tournament for Dunn. Her versatility helped her make this roster, but hopefully players like Savy King and Gisele Thompson will be brought in for OB depth. And then there are young forwards in the pool (Sentnor, Turner, Fishel, A. Thompson, etc) as well.
I think it’s time to move on from Sonnett as well. To be fair, I thought this last cycle, but she proved me wrong. To be honest, my view of Sonnett has improved a lot since 2019. I find myself appreciating her more as a player (not that I thought she was garbage or anything before). Still, it will be time to move on. After years on the team, she still hasn’t gotten a starting role. And they are looking for other centerbacks to add (Madril, Staab, Gaetino, etc). I would add Krueger to this as well. (I love Casey Krueger let me be clear!!)
I would say it’s time to move on from Naeher as well. I am interested to see how this will go. As last time the US moved on to a new GK, it was kind of a forced move due to Hope Solo being dropped after the Olympics. (iykyk! throwback to that dumpster fire of an Olympics!)
I think Albert stays for a bit (unfortunately) but I’m curious to see how that will go, as I think a lot of other midfielders are better than her.
I mean, it’s the National Team. No one’s place is guaranteed (except perhaps Girma lol). I always find it interesting when one cycle ends and the other begins. And I think 2020 had a factor in how the development of last cycle went in some regard.
Players I would like to see brought in: Bethune, Madril, Sentnor, Gisele Thompson, Hutton, Turner, Savy King, Hershfelt, Staab… im drawing a blank rn of other names. Yes I have included players that have been called in before, but I would like them to be more in the fold if that makes sense?
Pls add your thoughts I love reading what you all have to say 😃 I may have forgotten some other players but it is almost 2 in the morning so give me some slack ✨✨✨
The title explains most of it but I'll add a little more: I was trying to watch the Current vs Dash game the other day and went on the NWSL's website, NWSL+, and found a thumbnail/link to the game but got an error message upon clicking it. A day later, I tried clicking it again to watch the replay and got another error. Are livestreams and replays on NWSL+ unavailable for games broadcast on Prime or other services?

I got curious if I was going to hate coverage of matches this summer as much as I hated the World Cup and I'm relieved to see certain infamous contributors are not participating. Guess we'll see how this team shakes out, I'm def a Lori fan.

Just until we get an official one
I'm wondering how often a coach's guidance shouted from sidelines is useful. I'm inclined to think any directions Hayes gives are gold, and she's got the receipts to prove it! On the other hand, the women on field have tens of thousands of playing hours, tons of team play planning etc. And their decisions have to be instant, in the moment, depending on details of what's happening. So I'm genuinely interested to hear thoughts about whether yelling from sidelines is usually helpful or not?
I'm including a photo of my kid just for flair. He doesn't get yelled at!
I think a game like that needs a post match thread to calm down and decompress. That was almost traumatic.

Grew up playing soccer and since my current hyperfixation has been all things NWSL and USWNT for a while now, I want to learn more about techniques and strategies. One thing that’s very different from my days as a player is the passing in the back 1/3. The way they pass to the GKs makes me nervous 😅 send me all the books, podcasts, accounts to follow, etc! And cheers to NWSL after dark… already the balls are wet 😂😂😂 okay bye
I searched and did not find updates on Gotham’s red card appeal. It seemed like the Thorns had a ruling within 48 hours.

Update: Looks like it's starting on time. As long as there isn't too much stoppage time they should be okay so let's just have no injuries, no VAR, no time wasting. Easy right?
Local KC folks... should we be anticipating a delay?
Looks like there is currently a tornado watch for the KC area (about an hour before game time) but it's only a watch not a warning.
It doesn't look like there is lightning in the KC area but apparently if the "cap breaks" then it could be pretty intense (potential for tennis ball sized hail 😬).
Anyone in the area have a sense what the weather is doing?
