So I got MHGU, yadda yadd etc. Im confused, I know its better to have artillery novice than expert, but i don't know if i need sharpness the set that i normally have is the full rath set with artillery novice.
But thanks to a 10+ artillary charm with 00 slots i was thinking of changing it, the one im thinking of rocking is artian helm, rath mail, ceanataur braces, and the rest is also rath, the current skills on this one are (Attk up M, Razor sharp, Artillery novice)
Im right before valstrax, any idea what set i should focus on?
PS: trying to get the hayabusa feather, i hate pickles.

I am a longsword and charge blade main, but in MHGU I absolutely love Adept LS and Valor LS. I try to make one LS of each element (more for satisfaction than actual use, I usually use margarita LS for general hunts) and I’m working on my dragon sword. I’ll eventually make both, but is there a strong opinion between Gores weapon and Shagaru’s? They have different sharpness and affinities and both seem pretty good. My build has razor sharp and Critical Eye. Any comments?
I want a gs that looks like an actual sword. Im currently trying to go for the research weapon, which idk how to make it... but I seen the final boss sword and I don't like the look of it. Any suggestions on what I could work for? Also if anyone knows where to get the research greatsword, much appreciated
Im really loving mhgu but i just cant find mates for the hub quests. I soloed till 6* but im just not enjoying it.. on the Monster hunter discord theres no one for GU and idk if its allowed to ask for fellow hunters on reddit.. All help appreciated
Didnt want to make new ammo until having it in the trap. Also, I had just learned about the Hit zones of Diablos and aimed at the tail during the whole fight but not expected this to Happen.
Genuinely how do i complete lurking in the murk? I absolutely hate Kehezu more then any other monster and in GU it feels like actual hell. This whole quest is just being stunned. Maybe its massive skill issue by me but kehezu feels like hell
I'm at HR 66, I heard that v5 blood red marshland and cleared hub final urgent quest but my palico scouting level is still 20+
Fell in love with the Alchemy Switch Axe Style.
My Talisman is 4 Evasion, 4 Crisis and 3 slots which I use for tenderizer in this build. Dragonheart to take advantage of crisis and to increase my Atk by 10%, while getting a huge elemental defensive buff. Should I take off handicraft and use grinder instead? Or any other skill combination I can't think off
Might sound like a stupid question, but the only way I found was using crab grip, x with one finger, R with one finger, and thumb to aim. This hurts my hand after a few minutes. Am I not understanding something?

I've tried the pre G rank Diablos high rank quest and I was super close to beating him(he slept twice) but I almost ran out of time and just ended up carting twice once he was low because I ran out of healing items and he left the area after I placed my trap. Is there any tips I could use to get past him easier?
Could someone help me with sending me palicos with the Japanese exclusive skills like weakness exploit? Preferably all of them but weakness exploit is the important one.
I've only play world and some of rise so going to mhgu is a little rough. So any advice would be amazing
I'm pretty new to GU, and I'm going gunlance I have attack L with my set of bulldrome and jaggi with some attack decos, I was wondering what is a good gunlance to use early on, and what style works best for gunlance? Any help would be much appreciated
I seen this sword used by a random and it looks cool, how do I unlock it and then when can I upgrade it?
I'm stuck between Striker and Valor Long Sword. But can barely combo. I think I'm just not cut out for it. Any basic combos other than X X A?
I might just wait til G Rank to get back into Insect Glaive. A couple questions about this weapon. Speed or balanced kinsects near the end? And I kinda like a few different styles. Aerial, Valor or Guild. Is Extract Hunter the only really viable Hunter Arts aside from the Absolute Arts?
Since I may as well use Yekla Bow, is aiming a Heavy shot the same as Rapid or Pierce?
There are other weapons I'm looking to try but wanted to ask about these first.
I picked up GU to play on my own / with randoms, as I picked up rise as my first MH and I'm playing that with friends who can only play so many hours and we want to progress in that at the same speed.
I've thrown up a few lobbies but I'm guessing that everyone is at high rank and no one will join.
Talking about the online missions not the village quests.
I play Striker CB and have no idea how to consistently dodge/reposition away from Glav's fire wave moves.
Help pls.
I'm losing because of time, not because I die a lot. I can spend 35 minutes hitting it with the Astalos weapon, which I have upgraded to the maximum and I have very good armor, but I don't die, I just lose because of time.
I'm a solo player with a lot of social anxiety. So far I've managed to work through low and high rank, both village and hub, without really hitting any walls.
But now I'm working through high rank event quests and I can't shake this nagging feeling that, I'm not gonna make it through G-rank. And if I do, I certainly won't be able to do the endgame stuff like deviants, hypers, fatalis, etc.
And I know the cliche responses are "git gud" or "just play like a god" - especially the EX Deviants - but I'm just...not. I go through a lot of my healing supplies just in these quests, and I know it gets worse from here. Being a Gunlance main probably doesn't help either - I literally have no practice with anything else. I feel like I've somehow failed up through low and high rank without learning how to iframe or not trade hits and it sucks.
All of these points just make me look at the struggles I'm going through, and give me this notion of, it'll only get worse from here. And that's really starting to kill my vibe to continue. For what it's worth, I had fun, for a bit, I guess. I don't really know what the point of continuing is anymore if I can't reasonably hope to do post-game stuff as a very average solo player.
I need to unlock trade slots but this quest it getting in the way cause I cant find goldfish
Also i would like to know if training palicos increase the level?
I'm looking to go back to using the trader for more materials. I know Godbugs and Blue Mushrooms make Nutrients and those Nutrients mix with Honey for Mega Nutrients. Then those with Dragon Toadstools get Max Potions. Bitterbugs and Honey make Catalysts and those go with Dragon Toadstools to make Immunizers. Then mix with Kelbi Horns for Ancient Potions.
I feel like I've moved up from Max Potions to Ancient Potions. And the combinables take up much less space. Carrying all 5 Books of Combos, charms, talons soon, and anything I'll need for that particular hunt. But feel like I need to focus on materials for paintballs, traps and tranq bombs.
Then after I have more than enough healing then I can probably focus on materials for ammo. I know I can only send out three cats but it's sometimes hard to narrow down what to prioritize. I can always do more Prowler hunts to get more laginapples.
More than enough stones, so I'll just need more Sap Plants. May have to check which I need more of. I already grinding Gypceros gets dash extracts to make Mega Dash Juice but wonder if Dual Blades or Bow are really the only weapons to use for it.
Any thoughts?
