🤔
I just can't.Spend 2 hours on this title and that's it,is there any way to play on keyboard + mouse on this one ? or controller required, character control is so confusing.
And I really want to give this game a shot :( halp
Hi, I'm new to mhrise (I have play world though)
I'm having difficulty figuring out what the controls are for using the wirebug with a light bowgun,
I have zero idea what buttons to press to use them, i can only seem to use them with my weapon sheathed,
I've also seen something mentioning silkbind, but the game tutorials we're very helpful...
I'm playing on a Steamdeck, so I've ended up using controller button binds, but keyboard controls could still be useful (provided the corresponding controller bind is mentioned)
Thanks for any help in advance!
What does this blue bar? It falls Up when I am damaging the Monster. I couldnt find anything in my skillslots...
I hate tower defense and this is in my opinion the worst part of this game its very annoying so I'm looking for help with this in the game. My psn is Mr_1BallWhale
Meanwhile my Palico in this situation:
(on a side note, if anyone has the quest to unlock the Sonic Layered Armor for my character, could I join your lobby and help me unlock it? Pretty please!)
Hi everyone. I'm recently replaying Rise since the beta for Wilds sparked my wish to play again but I remember almost nothing.
Are there any sites or lists with recommended armor sets for progressing though the story and different HRs? Right now I'm HR50 in the village and just cleared the quest where >!you fight both Narwa and Ibushi!< and I'm on my way to HR 100.
At least I want to be ready before starting the Sunbreak story.
Hello all, I have been stuck on the event quest Duel Threat: Banquet of Beauty for months. I have tried it with a group, alone, everything. It is a velkhana and a primordial Malzeno. It is hard, I cannot get past it. I have this one and two others I’ve been stuck on since the last update. Any advice?
I’m just really happy right now. I thought this was impossible to get. Some details of the hunt if anyone is wondering. I joined a random- 4 party, tail cut, broke one horn, captured.
I get it, LS is OP and deserves a nerf. But the way they implemented foresight slash seems pretty contradictory to its actual name.
Judging by the name itself, foresight means you know where the attack lands, so you dodge away from that attack and then counter. The closest example I have of it would be the pull counter from boxing, which basically has the same definition. World did too much of it by giving the player huge iframes, but Rise's version feels wrong. The player in this game has to actively pull INTO the attack to make it work efficiently, instead of AWAY, which doesn't really make sense when compared to the pull counter. Is it a dealbreaker? Nah, game's amazing and Malzeno's one of my favorite monsters in the entire franchise.
Risebreak is a great addition to the franchise, but I wish they just kept World's style, maybe with iframes just slightly larger than ISS to make it fair. I'm also hoping Wilds won't use Rise's style of foresight slash. What do you guys think?
It was fun.
I fixed it. (Am sorry i really thought it was already cut)
I'm afraid of been losing my precious time farming monsters to create them. I didn't start the dlc yet.
As the title says, I'm new to this type of game. I'm leaning towards "Assist", since evidently it stuns the monster, & I'm still very much getting used to the controls & movement.
I know you can have multiple types of Palicos, I guess I'm looking for other peoples' experiences & what they find the most useful in battle.
Thanks for any suggestions!
(This is gonna be a longer post about my experience with rise and monster hunter as a series in general feel free to scroll past if its too long)
I recently got back into monster hunter rise after originally playing when it first came to xbox. My first experience with monster hunter was playing the older gens on a friend's ds as a kid back in the day. I always knew about monster hunter but never really got into monster hunter. Flash forward many years into the future and world is announced. I followed it to release and when I finally got my hands on it I FELL IN LOVE WITH THIS SERIES! 500+ hrs later my only challenge left for myself was fatalis and alatreon. I was hooked!
This lead to me buying generations ultimate for switch since it was cheap and I wanted a taste of the old world. I played through that and that was a good time and I still have stuff to do in that one as well. Now is around the time rise was announced and I ended up going back to world until rise released for xbox. I bought the bundle with g rank/mr and began playing through it. Now at first I HATED RISE. I tried multiple times to get into the game and each time failed. Now there was many reasons I believe for this at first and no they didn't just boil down to "haha your a spoiled new world hunter lool"
I did not like the addition of wire bugs and how I personally feel the inclusion of them made the devs have to make monsters in a sense faster and more aggressive to compensate. (This still rubs me the wrong way a bit to this day as certain monsters imo feel a bit cheap to fight. I've learned to just deal with it but it's not my favorite. I do like however the mobility they added and the addition of verticality to maps and wall running.)
I have a love hate relationship with silkbind skills. Some I think are awesome and great with some real creativity. Some I think (cough cough longsword) replacing moves that were just basic parts of weapon movesets like helm splitter to a silkbind is kinda lame.
Imo base high rank endgame grind is boring. Doing the same hunts over and over or side quests with nothing new in-between to reach a cap of HR X amount to progress to unlocking ONE new monster killed the vibe and what I loved about playing through some of the other games. Maybe I'm remembering wrong but I don't remember base world grind to endgame being like that.
Probably the most minor but adds up the most throughout the game and I love the idea on paper but hated the execution of was the new endemic life. Having to run around the map and collect birds for the first 5-10 mins of a hunt is not it at all. Now some people say that you can just ignore or skip them. But if you do that you have WILLINGLY handicapped yourself. I think on paper it's nice to have endemic life that provide semi permanent or temporary buffs to attack, defense ect is great. Just don't tie it to our health and stamina please?!
Now eventually as the title suggests I fell in love with rise and I think what really did it for me were the monster designs plus armor and weapons (as is the case most of the time for me.) Aswell as the fact sunbreak added things and fixed a lot of the issues I had or made them more bearable. I have just killed garangolm and I have been enjoying the game immensely more than I was before. I love the follower system and hope they bring it back into wild in some shape and expand on it. Also I been LOVING the rathian master rank armor and I loved the Damascus armor for hr.
Anyways that's been my experience with the monster hunter series and rise, how I've come to love the game and I look forward to seeing you all in wilds!
Hi there,
I was just wondering how you unlock the guardian armor set x for rise? If someone could help then that would be awesome.
Me and a friend are finally getting into this game, however we would like a target to aim for. We beat monster hunter world's fatalis in 2 weeks and would still like to brush up out monster hunting skills. So what is this game's final big bad?
First encounter with Goss Harag. Didn't know it would be so hard to read lol
Beaten Gaismagorm; credits roll. Now the game throw a bazillion infos and tutorial windows at me and a LOT of emergency quests. Let’s see what this Anomaly thing is about: My progression just astronomically stall and I feel like the game is spitting in my face. Having to farm dozens arzuros/lagombi for the 4th fucking time when I had to fight Malzeno and Gaismagorm just two times to craft their weapons is where I draw the line. It’s been a month since I fighted Valstrax at HR and the game says I have to start ALL OVER AGAIN?! Nah bruh duck this shit.
I need someone to give me advice on how to progress linearly difficulty-wise and how to tackle Anomaly Bullshit as efficiently as possible. If the Anomaly Bullshit isn’t avoidable then I’ll probably be downloading a cheat table to give myself at least enough materials to craft the weapons so I don’t feel like I did one step forward and ten steps back. Right now I’m at A1 MR20 but didn’t beaten Ibushi yet or did any of the Urgent Quests after Gaismagorm. What’s the best way to progress while skipping low lvl anomaly? I swear if I have to kill another Basarios/Volvidon I’ll never touch this game again.
Very new to this series but I keep hearing people talk about the two aforementioned buttons when looking up some guides. Can anyone help me on what they are? Thanks
