I am used to have inverted controls for R stick for as long as I can, so of course I inverted Camera settings to what I am used to. Now I have the ability to fly with Ratha and the used controls is inverted once again. While flying the R stick is normal for both axes. I CAN'T play like that! R stick HAS to be inverted. Everytime for everything, but I can't find the option. How do I switch it?
I'm currently in my first playthrough of MHS1. I got to the point where I can find Zinogre (sorry for using the English name if you dislike it) and managed to make one retreat.
It took me twenty minutes to get a smelly one that was fortunately quite heavy, all the others didn't smell though they were either normal or quite heavy. I got that egg a few eggs after Navirou warned me there was a good smell in the nest. So I took it home to hatch it along with a lucky stinky Crimson Qurupeco egg.
Here's my confusion: I hatched the Zinogre egg and it literally has one regular gene on top of its species gene, it's not rare at all. The other slots are unlocked but empty.
However the Crimson Qurupeco egg hatched as a very good one as expected, almost perfect.
So I'm wondering, did I get a glitched smelly egg? Should I have taken the first one after Navirou claimed he smelled something good? Does it matter that I got it from a regular retreat den or before I can actually transfer it to my team (I'm still Rank 5, Zin is Rank 6)?
Thank you in advance for any insight you could bring on this strange situation.
in both MHST1 and 2, what if Navirou joined your party as a third member alongside your monsters in battle, how would it be? could he work as a support felyne like the average ones? or could he add more spice to the gameplay, considering his peculiarity for those who know?
I was searching for a good set to kill him and i don't know which to pick and searching online lost me even more so if anyone has any advice...
Edit : i'm on the pc remaster
There's so much unreliable knowledge sifting through Google search trying to find out specific information or good guides, so much of it is hearsay or one person says A but others say B or C to the same question. I'm in the post-game/story now and feel lost. I'm just going to make a question list and if people have answers to any of them, that would be wonderful.

EDIT1: Is there a good build guide for making end game monsties? I have no idea what the meta options are for something like... if you wanted to make a standard attacker, would they need Power/Speed/Tech bingos? Or should you just focus on their typing?
EDIT2: Is there some other way to farm charms besides Melynx scumming?
Okay, maybe it's my lack of english, but in this guide it seems you can only get it ONCE from the listed sources, but a lot more items need it, so how?

MC is lvl 80 with max lvl gold rathian armor with the dragon element sword and shield maxed too. The 2 strongest monsties I have are story ratha lvl 90 and stygian zinogre lvl 85.
I can and did do most of the special quests and even beat Fatalis, but I'm at floor 30 in the tower and aleady feel drained. Especially when I used up all of my dust of life potions and don't have enough of its mats to craft it.
Is there any active discord or community that still plays coop in MHS2? Cuz I wanna farm all monsties stuff together with people... 🥲 Since most of them are hard as fk.
The experience playing this on a laptop is different. Everything is huge and cool haha.
Hellblade (at least in my case) is a beast and he's only level 48 (slow growth)
those crits. marvelous!
Só i'v finish the story of Monster Hunter Stories 2, and I was thinking my Ratha Wings would change like the image above since I saw alot of people with that Ratha in videos, but he didn't change his wings at all, is something I need to do in Post Game?
I can't make any sense of it. I end the fight in 1 turn C, I feel like I do poorly on a harder monster A, I think I did well C.
Is there a way to always get S for the best drops?
ok, you entered a den of your choice, luck be on your side if its a sr den and you see a blue chest across the swimmer needed pond or vine climbing mini pillar.
you lacked the monstie with that ability to get it but there's a red or blue chest right there.
that crossed my mind when i conveniantly had a monstie (grimclaw) needed to get up a vine for a blue chest. i'd be so disappointed if i didn't have a monstie with the climbing ability.
did it happen to you? blue/red/brown chest but no monstie ability to get to it inside a den?
I'v got a question about the eggs does the extra stats when you hatch the egg matter in late game? For example I got a Barioth with a total of +6 ATK, for some reason he only gets Max +2 in stats when I hatch eggs of him, while when I hatch a Nergigante or a Astalos it gets +3 in stats. I was wondering if this stats of hatching really matters in late game/Pvp.
During the head to head there is a point where a circle flashes over the word for the attack type. It's like a split second. Am I supposed to press A or something when that happens to do more damage or is it nothing. Thanks in advance
Hi, I tried upgrading my Hunter’s Dagger and every time I try to do it, the pop up going over the stats upgrade doesn’t show up and I’m stuck on the screen. Is there some fix for this? Thanks in advance
I get the impression I might be doing something wrong? I finished the game and I started finding high-rank dens, which was cool, except the high rank dens didn't really give me any Monsties that were better than the ones I had, so I look it up and they just have the possibility of having better genes, I guess? My question is, what am I aiming towards right now? I feel like I have such a small fraction of the available Monsties, yet whenever I go out and grab some eggs from dens, I seem to pretty much get the same old Monsties again and again, even when I'm looking out for heavy eggs.
Am I doing something wrong?
It's also annoying because any time I look it up, I mostly get results for the sequel.
post game story with me and (grudgingly) reverto
i tried the fated 4 den, got destroyed by boltreaver. used n ticket just to take a peek knowing i will get clapped.
today i tried the jungle den in hopes for silverwind, casted an sr ticket in and took out the kirin that was guarding the den. and got a kirin egg. (>!omg fk off bazel eggs!<)
how did a deviant clap us but an elder dragon fell? huh, weird, lol gonna try the deviant again.
UPDATE: Revenge is ours. Boltreaver is down!
I want to make a good monstie with the herbivore genes that give heals, remove status effects, and give out hearts. What other monstie, besides these three, would be a good support/defense monster to have?
Does it matter if you open an egg individually or "hatch all"? Will you get better stats if you click the shell on the individual hatch?
What do the different screen glows mean after the monster hatches? I've gotten mostly teal and some gold.
Does anyone have a good recommendation on what monsties, armor, weapons, and/or skills I should try to use against the Bazelegeue and Agnaktor? I have been stuck on them for a long time.
Is there anyway at all that I would be able to get monster hunter stories modded on my iPad I’ve played the game 2 times before on my 3ds and android but I’ve had an urge to play it again but I feel like I wanna fly through the story and wanna get a modded money glitch is it possible to get one on iOS
I was stressing during the character creation because I get indecisive about not being able to change it later. I looked online and found people saying you only can change your hair and eyes or something. I read it in more than one place and people seemed pretty sure about what they were saying. The first thing I did when you're able to enter your house was go in and I found I'm able to change everything that I was able to at the start. Except the name I think. You can change skin, face shape, voice and so on. So I'm confused. Was that added to the switch version or was it always like that?
I just cannot get this trophy. It's for "win five Head-to-Head in a row, during the same fight". Thi should be done early on in the game. I just saved the girl with her Barioth. But i cannot get it done, even if i get a few h2h, i either lose them or the monster dies way too fast. Are there any guides or tips? Like what area, what monster to fight, maybe an attack pattern that isn't RNG?
I'm trying to fight the grim claw and molten tigrex i did beat the grim claw, but the molten one is impossible. It's high damage and the ability to give you blast. It's so hard plus when it's enraged, or has that other a roar that turns into a technical attacker it used savage roar three times in a row and use savage spear against my rajang 3 times and the second time he actually killed it. And the only thing I could really do is just keep up my hearts up and healing everybody. I really need help with this fight. Is there any other tips I can do to make this fight easier?
