I do need to defeat the two devil Jo in pondry hill what would anyone suggest doing.
Anyone know how to get glavenus in Mhs1 for iOS, I’ve been struggling to get it
should I use bombardier or pyromaniac and is salt in wound+gene good with it(hms2)
Hello! I last played MHS2 over three years ago and am just now trying to get back into it. I think I stopped playing in the mountainy area after the icy region. I remember being overwhelmed by the genetics feature and not knowing where to find monsties I love (I'm a big fan of the MH games).
Can someone give me a short list of pointers for getting back into the game? Should I focus on stats at all or just try to finish the game? Can someone remind me how the core mechanics work? I remember something about rock-paper-scissors and special abilities... It's all a bit foggy.
Anyway, I will likely watch a video too but I would hugely appreciate any written info. Thank you so much!
Hey guys so I’m looking to make some Elemental monstie builds in Monster Hunter Stories for fun also because I love the changes color palette so show me some pictures with the gene board and what genes are what.
Thanks in advance.
I can't seem to purchase any more SR tickets from melynx inc and I've wasted two trying to solo a co-op den (I tried with an actual person once and they just went straight to the boss and killed it instead of exploring and checking all the nests, so I don't trust random players anymore lmao). It's unfortunate because I have so many bottle caps that I would love to buy more tickets with so I can get the SR den exclusive eggs more consistently without running around the map for hours hoping to get a SR den. Is there any way to get more aside from getting extremely lucky in chests?
I’m looking a optimal gene build for great jaggi as it’s one of the few monsters in my nuzlocke that are alive
I recently finished the campaign and found some 7 star monsties. My problem is that even when leveled up they for some reason have terrible health and damage resistance. For example my hellblade glavenus with a large health up gene only has 196 hp at level 38 with 143 defense, which is shockingly low compared to a previous member of my team - brute tigrex, who, at level 39 and with only a medium health up has 297hp and 267 defense. Another example is my oroshi kirin with only 157hp and 129 defense at level 38 worse in both regards than a literal 2 star royal ludroth at only level 24. Is there something I'm missing? Please help.
Is this gene bingo build suffice
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
The total dmg on the Kinship skill is 1700+
I came here to rant, that's my main purpose but also share my love for this game and its prequel. This might be a long post too cause I don't make short and sweet posts.
I came from Monster Hunter Stories on Switch, the first remake game, without any prior experience about the Monster Hunter games. I just knew I didn't want to focus on killing monsters and as an avid Pokémon/Digimon fan this was more my cup of tea.
So during my playthrough in the first game I had fun with nicknames with the generous number of characters allowed for my monsters (15). I like doing that, to each their own I suppose. I had to be creative and sure of my choice as you can't rename them afterwards.
I got my team full of Crowned Blue, Purple Mane, Rose Nutcracker, Mossy Bear, Amber Stripes, Hangry Pickle, Sakura Queen and Fierce King to name a few. I either looked for precious stones, color or defining characteristics for names. I had a blast as you can see, you might be able to guess a few monster from the name alone.
After finishing the first game and trying a bit of the endgame content I began the second game. There are certainly improvements over the first game and some downsides too. The graphics are certainly better and maps feels larger and more complex (though I sigh in relief when I find a short rare den!) The battles are arguably much easier though but also more entertaining in others ways. Little annoyances are removed or added (thanks the several button pushes just to save my game!)
When it came to nicknaming my first egg I had a shock. 10 characters limit is really a downgrade compared to the previous game, ESPECIALLY WHEN THE ORIGINAL NAME BYPASSED THAT LIMIT ALREADY! How come Blue Yian Kut-Ku (16 characters) works but Sky Nutcracker (14 characters) is too long for the game? It's good you can rename almost all of them though...
I don't want to shorten the names so most monsters will have to lose their invented family/species nicknames. That's disheartening they allowed such largesse in nicknames in the prequel and not the sequel, regardless of which they ported to the Switch first...
I don't regret starting to play the sequel though, it's more relaxed than the first one where you had to study your opponent's moves to plan your attack types accordingly. I'm looking forward to unlocking my favorite monsties and find new ones too... I already know one I HAVE TO GET! (Looking at you Shaulk I miss you...)
There was my rant. I'll have to get extra creative with names now with only 10 characters.
I'm playing Monster Hunter Stories 2 for what is basically the first time. I just unlocked the Rite of Channeling and so far...
The battles feel too easy. Like, I wanna try out the weapons to figure out what I like but the enemies get defeated so quickly I don't feel like I have time to really get a feel for the skills.
Does the whole game feel like this? Do skills even matter?
Hello everyone, I recently bought Stories 2 for the Switch; I have yet to play it, but just a few hours ago I got a glimpse on the Internet about some kind of problem, like that certain DLC Quests do not show up or something. That made me ponder a few questions, I hope somebody can help me:
Can someone better elaborate what is that about? Are some Quests to be downloaded from the Internet? (I think there is a Connecticat or something that lets you do that? After how much time of tutorial/intro I have to play before I can check if everything is good with it?)
On that note, I saw that some stuff is apparently locked behind Multyplayer; since the game has Co-op, can't I technically do something with it?
Tnak you in advance.
So, I'm new here, and english is not my native language, so I hope u guys can understand me.
Well, I bought the new remastered version of MHS on my switch, and I've remembered that on 3DS we did have some different DLCs like Epona and that Kurenai Goukami Monstie, so, I started playing again on my 3DS which is using today a custom firmware and even downloading the DLC from Hshop I couldn't play the content, it ask us to download the DLC content but it says is not available anymore because of the online service, so, I wanted to know if anyone knows a way to install this DLC again, I've lost my old save where it was completed with all the monsties
So I'm currently at the Bewitching Menace story quest and only really now actually started thinking about my teams general build..
I've always tried to keep 2 of each attack type to have good coverage and in case one was low there was a backup and I'd like to stick to that but I honestly have no clue where to go from here. I'd like to at least start putting down building blocks for a better team build. Or just find good monsties to get at this point. My current team is Ratha, Narcuga, Rathian(only for the nest search), Jade Barroth, Pukei-Pukei, and Zinogre. I'm not unwelcome to monsties I would have to grind to get either. (The Royal Zinogre took longer then I care to admit to get an egg from.)
Any advice or tips are really welcome.
I’m just hitting the desert region in MHS1, and I’m a newcomer to the series.
Drawing obvious comparisons to Pokémon games, should you expect to keep your “starting” Velocidrome in your party? Or is it really just a decent monster to start the game with but to be dumped in the stables ASAP?
It’s the highest level monster I’ve got, because it’s been in my party since the get go, but I’m wondering if I’m better swapping it out for newer/rarer monsters now.
So, just finished the PC port of Stories 1, great game overall. But now that Im no longer bound to the methodical story progression and unlocks, the new post game options do seem a bit overwhelming -
Three labyrinths/towers, completing every poogie & the monstie codex... Oh, and general HR content is now unlocked, so even harder monsters to fight... I do want to put some more time into the game, maybe even 100% it since I really enjoyed it so far, but... Where does one even start from here?
Im at hunter level 50 with a fully upgraded LR Sand Barioth armor (best-ish of what was possible during the story) and even still most of the lower end HR monsters like Yian Kut-ku and such have me feeling like my hunter is made of wet paper... Do I basically need to go through the same armor cycle again, grinding my way through the monster progression once more? Same thing goes for my team, is there a difference between LR eggs and HR eggs or do I now just need to grind for better genes to upgrade my team?
Leveling seems fine for the moment, since the HR monsters do give decent experience still... but finding/grinding them seems to be a bit of a pain since they only appear in sidequests and the dens, right? Are the towers a better grinding spot?
Any suggestions and tips would be really appreciated, since for right now I am just a bit overwhelmed^^'
I haven't played in a little bit and I'm having trouble getting back into it because I forgot
Is status ailments stackable? i.e if a soulseer got inflicted paralysis can be also stacked along with burn and severe poison? Idk if it's an overkill build
I'm at 418/419 genes, this is the last one I need, but after hatching 50+ Nergigantes and now farming a Super Rare den for 3+ hours by reloading the save, I've had no luck. I've had All-Res XL many times at this point (inc 3 monsters in a row at one stage) The Super Rare den I'm currently farming only has Teostras and Velkhanas, but the in-game guide says they can both have it. Am I just very unlucky or can I not get the L version this way?
I decided to make a post here to avoid potential spoilers, as I am only at the >!Felyne Shelter.!<
I've unlocked the tickets to access Palamute dens, but I'm a bit nervous to go ahead into multiplayer without advice. I don't want to be a burden to whoever I get paired up with. If I go in, which monsters/weapons should I take with me, and is it a difficult fight? If so, please give me tips :P
started a new game on an alt account and am gonna try the anja glitch. i didnt know about it on my main so this is my chance to see it in person
does it still work?
https://mhst.kiranico.com/mhs2/data/skills
Why are buffs like Valiant Flare marked as "All-Elem Def Down" along with the buffs? The JP wiki doesn't say anything about debuffs for these skills? https://hyperwiki.jp/mhs2/active/ Just some Kiranico weirdness?
I understand how egg fragments generally work but I don‘t think it’s explained anywhere in the game what a rare color does. What effect does it have, even better stat boosts?
Any bingo build for Dreadqueen Rathian? Is Noxious poison burn status build viable? If so a bingo sheet to share anyone
Can I use the save editor to get character edit couchers? Or will I need to actually buy them?
