Remember how we all complained about MHR wyvren riding? how it is so dogshit because it's so scripted, ruins the element of surprise that exists in the game? how it's boring to see every interaction being the same over and over again?

I remember, and I did turn off wyvren riding in rise cause it is a fucking dogshit mechanic.

But guess what? I'm replaying world through the endgame of HR for fun, and EACH AND EVERY FUCKING QUEST HAS THIS DAMN MOST OVER - FUCKING -RATED OF THIS SERIES MONSTER - BAZELSHIT SPAWNING IN EVERY DAMN QUEST, COMING AND RUINING THE FLOW OF THE FIGHT.

Stop fucking cock sucking this monster, it sucks. as a general idea it's creative, but it's boring to fight and annoying for many weapons. but i don't mind him too much, many monsters are mid in this game and it's fine as it is.

My problem is - that these piece of shit devs decided it's a good idea, to stick this shitty screaming every 3 seconds monsters into every hunt, and ALWAYS BUT ALWAYS coming to interrupt your fight.

Now before you say skill issue - no, I bring dung pods just for this piece of shit game design but sometimes it doesn't work well. sometimes he screams stun locks u and the other monster hits you, sometimes dung pods don't make him go away. sometimes the monster you fight goes away.

It's just so fucking BORING, WHATS THE POINT OF MAKING THIS IF IT'S IN EVERY FIGHT? THERES NO SURPRISE, EVERY HUNT YOU SAPWN AND SEE THIS PIECE OF SHIT DESIGN MONSTER IN THE MAP YOU KNOW IT WILL COME TO ANNOY THE SHIT OUT OF YOU.

Do u ever complain about shit that has stayed the same for almost 20 fucking years throughout the series? Well i do and here's a thing, crowns are absolutely dogshit, especially in iceborne where u could be doing the most breath-taking massive sized beast you've ever encountered just for it to be a silver crown. I did 20 fucking blackveils just today and i could bet my fucking organs at least five of those were silver fucking crowns, THAT SHIT IS USELESS ANYWAY. Literally the last crown I'm missing to 100% iceborne but Capcom absolutely needed to give me the largest fucking rotted shits I've ever seen just for NONE of them to be a gold crown. And ALL of them were investigations with good slots so ALL of them had a chance to be a crown. They really had to wait till 2025 to make the crowns at least visible with the binoculars in wilds, great job Capcom, i like how learning shit takes decades for your employees

Some of you may know me as the Alatreon rage guy, If you've seen my other posts, you know about how much I hate Alatreon, despite being now able to bully him using kinsect 2 days after my final post.
I will soon be heading into Fatalis with my friend, only having gotten a glimpse of it from the automatic quest you get by first discovering it.

I just need tips.

Alatreon gave me stage one tendonitis. (I'm dead serious) I had multiple rage boosted eye torsions from Alatreon, and I don't want that to happen again with Fatty.

The fight is hard enough as it is to have this shit happening. Same thing happened on the first flame and a team mate wandered out into the imaginary flame and carted. Was pretty funny actually. And does that now look like a huge burp he's doing now there's no flames? Certainly sounds like it.

After finishing World and reading about the negative aspects of Rise, I was hesitant to try it but I decided to give it a shot and made it to High Rank. If you want to see the rage, go to the negatives.

Positives (no rage)

• Weapons: Unique weapon designs, no more slap-on weapons. Hell yeah!

• Monster Roster: More variety of species instead of mostly reptiles, introducing unique mechanics and blights too.

• Quality of Life: Easy navigation and travelling in the compact village and hub areas.

• New Skills: Holy shit, Gunlance can FLY???

Negatives

• FUCK rampages, especially the Apex ones. What is this tower defence bs? I spent taking down hordes of monsters, then an Apex arrives and destroys everything and beelines for the final gate? And worse, monsters still keep spawning and when fighting the Apex, which already hits like a truck and takes forever to even flinch, I get juggled back and forth. Barely defeated the mandatory Apex Arzuros. Siege ended before I could slay him, how much HP does he have?

• RNG charms. What the hell! Decorations can be crafted now but now Charms are PURE RNG with even worse chances than the deco grind in World?

• Spiribirds. Why is this in the game? With the way quests are designed, we can see where the monsters are to hunt them immediately, but then health boost and stamina boost are now locked behind these collectibles to collect EVERY HUNT. It may not be that bad of an issue in Low to High Rank, but I can't imagine how it is in Master Rank.

• Instant attacks. Seriously, base Rise already and there's Iceborne / Elden Ring styled instant attacks. For example, Nargacuga goes from neutral idle to immediate tail slam that nukes your HP. I already seen many players in join requests die to similar bs. Thankfully I am using gunlance so I can block or backhop.

• More RNG material drops. Wow, so instead of using World's Investigations feature for decent chances of getting rare drops, we have to contend with 3-5% drops. Some materials are exclusive to hunts or capture too. Great! Perfect!

• Join Requests are a worse version of World's SOS. In World, you can see a list of active posted quests. In Rise, you have to choose a specific quest and HOPE there's someone running it. What. It doesn't help that there's region locking too that requires a mod to fix. I can't seem to get many people joining my hunts too.

Jimbo comes with me on Alatreon speedruns attempts. He has two jobs. Play attack melody, and paralyze the monster once every 30 or so attempts.

On my best attempt today, Jimbo did NOT play his attack buff outside of one near the start, and while he did paralyze Alatreon for once, it was RIGHT AS I STUNNED THE FUCKING MONSTER CUASING ME TO LOSE A WHOLE DPS WINDOW AND ALSO BE OUT OF PLACE FOR THE PARA AS WELL SO I DIDNT DO HEAD DAMAGE, IT WAS ARMS. DO YOU KNOW WHAT MY FINAL FUCKING TIME WAS? IT WAS A FUCKING 5:51, AND YOU KNOW WHAT MY BEST FUCKING TIME IS? ITS MOTHER FUCKING 5:47. I COULD HAVE BLOWN MY PB OUT OF THE WATER AND EASILY MOVED TO TOP 3 OVERALL TIME, AND INSTEAD, THIS RAT FUCKING SHIT DECIDED IT WAS TIME TO MAKE AM LOOK LIKE A PLEASANT FELLOW AND HATE MY FUCKING GUTS.

This shit ass dragon makes you take a constant basically unavoidable DoT anr this piece of shit spends 70% of the fight spamming the same charging moves over and over so I have to chase after its hitboxes as well as being punished for the crime of using a melee weapon as it constantly screams and then knocks me over with its anorexic farts

How did they manage to make one of the most meh fights in old gen to one of the most infuriating one ever? Man its not even that I'm bad at jumpy monsters, the Nargacuga fight right after Barioth was really fucking fun. But with some 'decent' MR armor with 20+ ice resistance he is hitting like a fucking truck. And yes I broke his goddamn wings and fucking teeth. Yes I'm wall-banging his ass every time I can, and I'm still getting carted 3 times.

Why is that MF capable of jumping from one side of the area to where I am? People complain about Rise's tracking, but at least there we had shit to counter and avoid that shit.

Decided to go back to an actually fun installment of the MH series, one that doesn’t punish you for not feeling the need to fork over 60 dollars for online (Ahem. Iceborne.) Theres a reason 4U will always be my favorite. First game I played, awesome story, iffy gameplay but, hey, it’s a decade old. Also, the hunter doesn’t feel like a bum fucking loser who becomes a cripple as soon as a small gust of wind grazes them-

Rajang has always been a fight I really like. While in newer games he’s a shell of his former self, like a 60 year old Tyson in comparison to Iron Mike. Old Rajang genuinely put the fear of god into me whenever I heard that apocalyptic electric guitar roar, because I knew just one punch from this guy would wipe out half of my health like I had nothing on. Point is, he’s scary. Can’t imagine how fearful i’ll be when I tackle MHFU.

The fight itself isn’t too bad. I sort of have a love-hate relationship with him, so let me list the positives and negatives of the fight!

+ve’s: His topple animation may be absurdly short, but the openings he gives makes up for it.

Speaking of openings, he gives lots. Of course, the more you know about what you’re doing, the better, but even a brickhead like me can get used to his openings and put damage in. The fight’s sort of like a dance in that regard.

He hits HARD. He’s the guy who reminds the player to pay attention. One slip up and half of your health bar’s gone!

Fun fight in general. Keeps you on your toes and feels so rewarding to flinch and knock the bastard down.

-ve’s: Heres where the rage comes in!

If you’ve done 120+ level GQs, you know how he is. He spams. A lot.

His stunlock addiction is genuinely frustrating, either he tremors or roars into a big attack.

Two, horrible attacks in specific (as the title suggests):

First, the less egregious one: the backwards jump. This one is extremely annoying, but it’s more of an inconvenience, especially if you’re behind him and you get knocked down, or you’re doing a big attack.

Second: the title.

The Kelbi Hops.

Where do I even BEGIN?

Fuck this move. Fuck whoever decided this move should take at least a quarter of your health bar. Fuck whoever programmed the AI to spam this move as much as possible.

You know the one, where he hops around like an invalid bunny, going across the map.

First of all, this move has literally 0 exploitable openings unless you’re an HR999 god, who plays at TAS level. Second of all, as I said, he does this LITERALLY, and I mean… LITERALLY, all the damn time. Just sheathed? Kelbi hop. Just started up a big attack? Kelbi hop. Just about to exploit a huge opening and do good damage? Kelbi hop. Left and re-entered an arena with the Rajang in it? Kelbi hop. At your dearly departed Granny Gertrude’s funeral? You betcha! Kelbi hop!

This attack is fucking annoying. Even if I wish World Rajang was more than he is, I am so glad they removed this ASS attack. This attack was literally designed purely to fuck you over. Nothing else.

So I’m over here playing 3U. Fun game. And, I get it. Tails being required for armor and cutting weapons makes sense. I’m fine with that Capcom. But WHY DO YOU NEED THEM FOR BLUNT AND GUNNER WEAPONS? Sure, some of them can be obtained from capture of quest rewards. That’s better. But tell me why on gog’s green earth do you need 2 LAGIACRUS TAILS FOR HIS LBG? The reward method doesn’t work here either. IT ONLY HAS A 63% DROP RATE FROM TAIL CARVES, YOU PHYSICALLY CANNOT GET THEM OTHERWISE. Meaning I have to get 30 slicing shots, land them all perfectly to cut the tail, PRAY I get that 63%, and finish the quest. Twice if I’m LUCKY. That or I change weapons, which I don’t want to do. But at least Bowgun has options for tails. The HH has no (good) cutting moves, but the Lagiacrus one STILL NEEDS A TAIL. I’m not even trying to craft it, but WHY?

Completed Story with SA now lets try some different weapons, maybe IG or Bow. Grinded a IG set, now lets upgrade the armor but no armor sphere left after upgrading SA set. There is no good way to get armor sphere, no event quests so you either grind these boring optional quests or get 1 hit KO by endgame monsters. Complete waste of time, guess back to spamming elemental bust counter for me

Like what the fuck? You spend 80% of the fight in the air only to land and use that fuck ass fire ball move and start flying again. Flash bomb and wallbangs don't work after like the second time and all your moves have fucking big ass hitboxes like that stomp or fireball. Why?

Is Stun in that game the worst it’s been?? I swear in GU even though it was annoying the mash to get out was way faster than it is in world, not to mention a certain red(or blue. Or Silver.)flying POS for some reason has so much stun capability and it’s not even Elder level. One that is an elder, Teostra, stuns like a whore. Haven’t fought Luna yet but am scared already.

But even more annoying than that is the fucking roar reaction animation. Why does it lasts so long?? Especially if you get roar’d in that acid in the Rotten Vale or are on fire/poisoned and you’re effectively helpless without even doing anything wrong.

Kushala is notorious for being bad but other than the fact it’s the same color as its tornadoes which is tedious it’s way way WAY less annoying than Ratholos and Teostra.

Decided to go back to world and learn the switch axe, not overly complicated weapon but not easy as well.

Every single animation takes 9million frames and you get hit by everything, I've just got fucked by both HR radobaan that took me 15 minutes to kill and pink rathian that triple carted me while with CB I would probably clear them both in 5-6 minutes.

I can tell you one thing, when Switch axe works - IT'S SO FUCKING SICK, CRAZY FUN WEAPON. but I can't seem to get it to work, It's fucking clunky, everything is slow, if it's not slow - your hunter is slow. nothing to poke and go away with other than some 2 shitty moves. I'll commit more to this weapon but the amount of raging I get from destroying 10 mega potions in 4 minutes while knowing each and every monster's moves, just because this weapon has FUCKING LOOOOONGGGGG ANIMATIONS FOR EVERY FUCKING ATTACK, makes me go nuts.

I did parts of his siege, was going toward fully depleting level one, then I took a break. Suddenly, when I return to gathering hub, a popup appears saying “Safi’Jiiva Siege Completed!”, so I go to the hub lass, claim rewards… and all the levels are back at full energy. What the actual fuck are you talking about? I searched everywhere for what the fuck this is, and I find NOTHING. What is going on? Why do I have to fight this sorry excuse for a dragon again??

Not because of any 1 specific monster but GOD I'm going through low-rank hub HR3 to reach high rank in hub as well as I did in village and I am NOT having a fun fucking time right here. Tried Guild swaxe, and valor longsword and swaxe.

Started off with Gore Magala, more like fucking Bore Magala, this shit is one of the most aggravating fucking slippery fuckers to fight, he's more slippery than the monster that is MEANT to be slippery Mizutsune.

Back to Charge Magala, this fucking stupid dragon fuck has the same syndrome as Tigrex and Seregios do in 4U. THEY FUCKING CAN'T STOP CHARGING EVERYWHERE ON THE FUCKING MAP LIKE WE'RE PLAYING A FUCKING GAME OF TAG HERE AND IM IT FUCKING KFJALSDJAE, STOP MOVING YOU DUMB OVERSIZED PIECE OF CHARCOAL

Every time his stupid charge or fly in clips me and sends me tumbling by some tiny hair on his feet clipping me it sends me man, I become enraged as fuck, shit just angers the fuck out of me, pops a fucking bloodvessel in my brain I can't fucking control I just want to scream and punch something. Same when It does the stupid dodges into the short forward charge, fuck that shit man, and the camera in the jurassic frontier can go fuck itself on walls, I was couldn't see shit half the damn time cause this fucking dumbass charges straight into a wall and loves to just plant there.

I fucking hate fighting Gore, just completely annoying, especially when he gets his stupid antenas and can just cancel whatever move into the stupid front slam that is a guaranteed hit in so many scenarios, I've tried to dodge it in so many ways but nah. Can valor sheathe sure, and I did many times, but that kinda feels cheap sometimes, I want to truly be able to react and dodge that attack normally, but that just can't happen in many scenarios and it is AGGRAVATING!

Next was fucking Seregios, god this is one of the worst monsters in the franchise, another fucking 4U spawn of hell, coked up never stand still fucking schizo narc, fuck this dumbass. I hear people often mention how every monster has a rhythm. Well Seregios' rhythm is a fucking breakcore produced by a DJ on crack, absolute fucking nonsensical fight, the more I fight him the more I want to fucking tear my hair out. There is not a single fucking enjoyable thing about fighting this monster. Absolute dogshit fight.

I carried over this anger into forcing myself to do Gammoth and Mizutsune as well, by which any minor offense they did pissed me off just that much more.

I am fucking irritated and irate and need to take a break now, I am going to fucking seriously faint from anger.

I still can't win! Fuck GU Valstrax! I just got back from another three triple carts! I'm at a loss! Even with my favorite weapon I can break a few parts but that's it. I'm looking at different weapons and styles I can use but I know it's not going to fucking matter. I can't do it! I know people say it's possible but it's not possible for me. Only one time I got it to limp and I timed out. That was infuriating.

And even after seeing Deviljho in a Hub Quest, that was enough to motivate me. But even that wasn't enough. I was prepared. I tried to eat for Moxie, Weakener, even easier to mount, all of it amounted to jack fucking shit! What do I have to do to tear down this wall?
