Played on FrankenSquier and Bugera 6262 Infinium, full signal chain in video desc. Enjoy!
I saw Lorna Shore and white chapel last night. Their live sound was epic. Rip your face off and still clear as can be. Their performances were album quality.
That is all.🤘
I've been playing guitar for about seven months now, and I'm wondering what songs would be doable for me to learn. My preference is trash metal like Metallica. I mostly just play riffs or big parts of songs, for example I can play Ride the Lighting and Seek and Destroy entirely, except the solo. Which songs can I learn to play as a whole, for example one without a solo or a fairly easy one to learn?
Hello everyone,
I recently purchased a Solar AB2.7AN, i plugged it into Motu M2 interface into ableton. I have been encountering a lot of noise without even playing a single note, when i play the noise dips but as soon as i pause it is still there, i tried introducing a noise gate pedal on several plugins, i have to turn the knob half way to full to feel the noise gone, but i lose all the sustainabiliy and cant play leads. I tried changing cables (d'addario and ernie ball which both are shielded) but the issue persisted, i looked into ground noise issues but even if i touch anything on the guitar as guides say, the noise is still there, tried turning most electronics off and changing plugged outlets and nothing changed. I used my interface before immigrating to australia with schecter and esp ltd guitars and had no issue whatsoever. The noise i hear is the same as when the cable isnt fully plugged in the guitar. Bare in mind i dont use the single coil options cz i know it introduces noise no matter what. I have a feeling something is wrong with the guitar input or solar pickups but i havent heard any issues regarding that from anyone else. Any help would be highly appreciated. I have attached a video showing the humming and its constant output (the guitar is plugged in)
So I learned Creeping Death entirely but I still feel like I'm playing the hammer on in the main riff wrong? Can anyone help me out on how to time it right without it sounding weird
I immediately tuned it to Drop D (of course), plugged it in the Boss HM-2w and melted my face and brains. Kickass 🤘
I'm kinda stuck in a rut right now playing the same riffs over and over again not learning anything or getting any better. I'd like to break outta this so it doesn't get too boring and lose my motivation to play
Hey everyone. So I have an Ibanez RG421 that is currently in drop C, but I am thinking of going down to Drop A#. It's a 25.5" scale guitar, and I have 11-56 gauge strings on at the moment, for about a year. Do you think it would be fine in Drop A# with regards to the scale, and the string gauge? Please help, any advice is appreciated.
As the title suggests, needing help finding options that fit the bill!
I have plenty high end 6 strings in 24.75” and 25.5” scale, but one of my bands is playing in Bb now and guitars just play like crap in that tuning when of conventional scale length.
A 7 string with the same scale isn’t going to solve the problem, so a baritone scale is necessary.
The trouble is that I use trems a lot for lead parts (I have both Floyds and Kahlers, so I’m happy to entertain either) which massively narrows down my options.
Yesterday I spotted the Dean ML Select Multiscale (with Kahler). Are there other options out there?
7 string - dealbreaker 24.75” / 25.5” scale - dealbreaker Non-trem - dealbreaker
I of course have preferences in terms of shapes, pickups, materials, finishes etc. but not being spoilt for choice I’m looking at satisfying functionality over aesthetics.
Thanks 🙏🏻
I'm a big fan of early 2000s abalone binding on body+gloss black that ESP/Schecter used and I have a gloss black Harley Benton R-456FR that is gloss black.I checked online and the starting price was 80$(sufficient quantity/length).Do any sellers offer fake binding(taped on the body) at a reasonable price? And can I use regular tape that has the same color?
This fucking guy is going to end up causing me to buy a 7-string guitar.
If you haven't already checked out this guy, he is amazing. I'd highly recommend him to any guitar players.
Hey everybody! I posted my 1 month progress here before so I wanted to show you have much I've improved in the last month, feel free to critique and tell me your opinions ^^
It all started when I bought my first vivo phone back in 2017 and it had this beautiful acoustic guitar song in it. Since then, I've been searching the tabs of that specific song.
Hey guys, i have this problem with my electric guitar.
There is an really loud, aggressive noise, that is constantly above my signal. It is kind of tameable with a noise gate, but definitely not a solution. I've included a mp3 sample, so you can hear what im talking about. at the end you can hear the NS cut it off.
My signal chain: Schecter Damien 6 Platinum (Fishman Fluence) -> Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd gen -> Reaper -> Josh Middleton STL Tones.
I was thinking maybe grounding / wiring issues in my potis, cause it gets even louder, when i turn the knobs. You can hear that in the sample.
Thank you for your help.
Jonas
EDIT:
not trying to sound angry or pissed, but this next .mp3 is what it sounded like 2min ago. as you can tell, i didnt play ANYTHING for the most part, but there still was noise, even when i muted all strings with both hands.
So guys, sorry to sound harsh and unfriendly, but all of you who said i have my input gain or my boost pedals to high are wrong.
Use this song at 0:30 seconds in as an example, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iOBIXhGrFV8, I would think it was a pinch harmonic but I cannot replicate it, and on guitar tabs it says A.H instead of P.H. Anyone have any ideas? Thank you in advance.
Some Darkthrone and Burzum riffs using EQD Life v3 and EQD ghost echo reverb for the blackmetal tone.
Guitars are like this for picture
Now that that's out of the way, I've been playing guitar for around 16 years. Now, I hit 18 and kinda fell out of it pretty hard, for a while. I ended up selling everything slowly over the course of 5 or 6 years and had my Ovation only, and never played. Met my wife, and she got me the Schecter for my birthday 3 years ago and over the next year the passion sparked back up, and here we are now! I also have a PC rig not pictured, I don't use the Katana, it's just for show i guess. Definitely wish I never would have stopped playing though...
