I've been trying as hard as I can to get the classic dsbm screams of agony that's in every single song in the genre that you listen to, but every time I try, too much of my voice comes through or I put too much distortion through my voicebox that I sound like a robot. Can somebody please help me try to get this down because I'd rather not sound like a little kid throwing a temper tantrum
Wondering if anyone here could recommend a mic that is good for both metal singing and voice over work? I’m writing a solo album and am also animating a cartoon. Looking for a mic that can handle screaming but also sounds good for speaking. Is this something feasible or are there specialized mica for each application?
I specifically play bass, but just in general what are some easier ones?
Hey there !! It’s time for Riffing!! Recording some Heavy Guitar Riffs for the Swola 216 Riff Challenge by Ola Englund using my Gibson Sg special plus limited edition loaded with Emg 81/85 pickups! For amplifiers I’m blending a Peavey Invective MH and a Mesa Boogie Mini Rectifier!🤘🏼 Have a great weekend everyone!!
It's a demo so it's rough, missing a guitar solo and live drums. Influenced by Priest, Maiden and a shit load of classic bands.....worth refining?
I want to write some badass metal riffs (not necessarily heavy) but I don't really understand what makes a riff baddass. And also I don't want to use tunings lower than drop C/C# standard
Howdy folks,
A few weeks ago you guys kindly helped me to decide about the upgrades on my ltd m-200fm. Then, I decided to replace the stock pickups for the Seymour Duncan's Pegasus/Sentient set.
I bought the pickups on Amazon marketplace, separately. The problem is that, the Pegasus seller shipped me a Gotoh bridge instead of the pickup. I am so disappointed about it... I had to import it.
That context out of the way, I don't want to wait another month to get the Pegasus Trembucker. Is a JB a good match with the Sentient? I can get it locally. What other SD's do you guys suggest?
I am looking for a modern metal proggy tone
Appreciate the help
I bought the KVLT Drums 2 and the Drums Against Humanity plugins recently, however, I'm not being able to find the right knob to tweak to change the velocity from hard-hitting 127 to any other lower number to make the drums sound a bit more natural and organic. I tried playing around with the "HUMANIZE" knob but it made no difference in regards to the intensity of the hits, which is what I am trying to change. Does anyone know how to change this?
So my band name is Heksebrenner, but I figured it could easily be confused with the band Hekseblad, and the band Heksebrenning. Should I change my band name, and if so, how would I go about that if I've already released music under the old name? I was thinking about renaming to Morden
Hi All,
So I always used those disposable CVS squishy earplugs that are rated at 33 decibel reduction and I'd like to get a reusable to be more eco friendly.
Eargasm and Loop came up a few times, but the decibel ratings on those are lower?! Eargasm is only 21, at very loud indoor metal shows that sounds like it's not enough to protect your hearing. Am I missing something?
Is there any reusable earplugs that are at about the 30 decibel range out there?
Thanks for the help!
Hi guys!! I'm looking into buying my first baritone guitar for drop tunings F/G and similar stuff, any recs for under £300? could maybe push to £350.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. It sounds super thin right now and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong right now but it sounds super thin and. I'm a huge beginner, so dumbing it down would be appreciated 😭

I'm trying to make album art for my upcoming dsbm album, but I can't paint. Is there anything I can use that won't cost me money that I could use to make or get a painting of a scene that I want for my cover?
