My first EP as Asbestos Vape is out today on bandcamp and streaming, thought it would be appropriate on Halloween. It was meant to be black metal but I kind of veered off a bit into thrash and crust/d-beat. Enjoy! \m/
Was writing stuff for my band and this is what I came up with, found a cool HM-2 style profile to use.
No death metal or stuff that you can't even understand what they are saying please. No hate to them I just enjoy hearing the lyrics properly.
Just seeing if anyone knows of some cool artists that do this kind of thing. I had some luck with Deviantart in the past but haven’t been on that site in forever. Not interested in AI art.
Hey guys,
Can you please share your thoughts about this?
I got a LTD M200 and I intend to play mostly prog and some djent. I want it to sound heavy yet flexible. I also need to fix the bridge because G string doesn't stay in tune after using the whammy bar. Do you guys think I should change guitars or upgrade it? The upgrade I thought about was getting a Pegasus/Sentient set. If I were to change guitars I would have to save money for quite a while to get something more "professional".
I have a Blackstar HT5, but I want to dive into plugins.
Thank you in advance
I have a few demos that I’d like to turn into a small project, few inspirations are Currents, Thornhill, Polaris, TDWP, Miss May I, etc.
It would be really cool to get some tracks out and see what happens!
Location doesn’t matter shoot me a message!
Hey everyone! My band Next To Eternity just dropped our music video for our brand new song, The Entity! Lots of fake blood, sweat, and tears were put into this guy! Give it some love and let us know what you think 🖤🤘🏻

Hey everybody.
Is anyone using the above plugins for mixing or mastering modern metal/THALL/Djent, and if so, did you find that they worked well for you?
I've been watching demos on YouTube, and all of the music is either electronic or just mellow pop music, so I'm interested to hear the experiences of anyone who has used it, who makes aggressive music.
I have been working with multiple engineers, none of whom get the sound I'm going for. I've been pouring so much money down a hole, and would like to try to use mixing and mastering assistants to do it in-house. Anyone with experience of these plugins, or if you could recommend great alternatives, I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Hey guys, we dropped our debut single this Friday! Mixed and mastered at Dark Prophet Audio by Erik Johnson (Born With Open Eyes).
FFO: First Fragment, Demon King, Alterbeast
Do you write your communications on social medias in your first language? Both? I’m curious, thanks!
Last week, we asked if anyone would be interested in contributing music for use in our small film projects. The response was incredible—tons of people sent us fantastic music like Hypersphere, Homunculus, Kazmi, Metamorphic Zoo, and the list goes on and on. This sparked the idea to start a radio show to share all this amazing music. Thus, we’re proud to present: The Willamette Metal Society Presents: 60 Minutes of Mayhem! https://sites.google.com/view/willamettemetalsociety/home.
We grew up with Metal Edge magazine and record label samplers like Metal Massacre and wanted the show to be a digital representation of those mix tapes we swapped with friends in junior high lockers and shopping mall parking lots. This project is all about the creative journey of making a radio show and sharing the music of talented artists. Our sponsoring station, KMWV, is focused on building a local terrestrial audience and may consider digital expansion in the future. We have NO big aspirations beyond making the first 60 minute episode of 10-12 songs. This is a labor of love project. We’ve outlined more details here: https://sites.google.com/view/willamettemetalsociety/faqs.
Music submissions can be sent here: https://forms.gle/WFLVtS1CQXf2W9tK8. We hope to feature the bands we mentioned as well as everyone else who is interested. Apologies for the pain, but if possible, please resubmit with the form so we can get all information that you would like shared such as social media, etc. After the radio episode airs, we will upload the show to the YouTube channel in a movie format that features art, text, links, etc.
We would like to get first show broadcast the first week of November. Thank YOU! Please reply with any questions.
This is my new single with Craig Cairns (Tailgunner) on vocals. Would love some feedback! 🤘🏻
Hey guys. I've been a musician for the last 25 years and got into (at least) producing in the last 10-15 of that with FL Studio/ a few DAWS/ Sound Editors/ designers. I fell into solo work as a reaction to bands just consistently "shitting the bed".
The thing is, most of my "producer" work was essentially me putting down my instruments (bass guitar/bari sax) to learn how to sequence/ engineer, but nothing I come up with really seems to pull itself together/ release in much else other than a "progress check" MP3 here and there.
The latest thing I'm dealing with is I want to get into live recording (on linux no less, but that's a different story), but I just kind of overwhelm myself with the concept of figuring out what to play, composing some of it, then figuring out how fast/ slow I can actually play.
For some of my influences, I'm into Napalm Death, The Berzerker, Pig Destroyer, Rompeprop, DRI, Anaal Nathrakh, Last Days of Humanity, and Putrid Pile.
How do you guys granule your ideas so they don’t just implode? I have depression, if it isn't really obvious, so that's a factor.
How do I turn a snare sample from a standard metal drum library into a very pingy, raw, disgusting, dodge ball sounding snare that would fit in a slam metal mix ?
