Aracksys is my Sci-Fi inspired metal project that lives somewhere between Devin Townsend's Ziltoid the Omniscient and Fear Factory's Demanufacture.
I've released a couple of songs on Youtube and Bandcamp over the last couple months and am currently working on more. Let me know what you think.
So I’m doing year 11 music in year 10 but I don’t know if I want to continue it and I need help. For more context I’m 15 and I’ve grown up with metal music. I’ve always wanted to be a musician. Im currently a drummer, at the moment and I want to play in a death or war metal band. The annoying part about music is the theory. I know zero theory, including intervals and scales and pretty much most theory. I don’t know if I should continue music because I think as a drummer I don’t need to know theory. But I wouldn’t know. The teacher also isn’t very good but I can never understand when she’s chatting away about theory. I only enjoy the performance part. Please help me, I don’t know if I should continue it or not.
I am trying to get good examples of some one man operations. I put out an album last month and decided I would go for a video for an upcoming single. It would feature me doing the guitar work and vocals.
I have good equipment and space, but am looking for some inspiration. Being able to switch between band members and instruments really fills in the gaps for most music videos. Do you guys have any good examples of a well produced video with a single artist?
Also you can hear my album here for context: RUINFORGE - Mist and Myth
Here's a video for one of our newer tracks, curious what everyone here thinks about it!

Hi everyone.
I am currently in the process of writing and recording my first ever album. It's for my solo Metalcore/nu-metal project Venomix.
An example of the style I'm creating can be seen in my latest single, Perihelion.
I'd really appreciate anybody who'd like to guest-solo over this song. Backing tracks, keys, tempos, click tracks, scales, etc. will be given if you want them.
Thank you!
but we also have thrash/hardcore songs 🤷🏻♀️
This is a track from my newest EP. This is going be heavy on all fronts. I hope you enjoy it.
Last year I started recording and mixing my own music in my basement and this is the 4th mix I've ever made. What are your thoughts on the mix and the song itself?
Context
I have a large project I am working on, and I do want to bring together a band and team for the project and shows. But, I want them to be paid and paid well, as I want to be the creative force of the project and direction. I wrote, produced and played all the instruments on the tracks as well.
I was toying around with the idea of playing shows but just doing vocals to a backing track, plus whatever live elements I can add to the show for some flair.
How would you feel if someone at a show did this?
Heavy, heavy songs, but just the one person on stage?
I personally love seeing a full band and everything live, but getting so many people together to play this stuff isn’t fair if I don’t pay them I feel.
I’m really reserved about it, so many acts I see these days have so many layered tracks and sometimes you can’t tell what’s being played.
Or am I just old?
As with every genre metal genres are murky waters to me. My band just put out our first release under ‘extreme metal’ but I am not sure what groups it is appropriate to share in. I imagine just saying death metal isn’t wrong but we are hardly sounding like Nile or Cannibal Corpse.
Please take a listen and let me know what you would honestly categorise this as

“The Death Of Truth” Tell me what you think about it 🤘
Hi all, was wondering if anyone is aware of any GGD grooves that have 3/4 timing? Sorry if obvious, I couldn’t find an answer online.
Hello metalheads! I came to ask your opinion about EMG, a band management agency. A few months ago we met a guy who works at this agency and he told us that they were a good option for our band. I didn't find much information online other than their Facebook and Instagram but no official website page.
Does anyone here have a band that has worked with them that could tell me some reference and if it's worth it?
We just released our newest single In Noir!
The pulsating beat and relatable lyrics of our newest single may provide an escape for those who feel stuck in an toxic relationship 🖤
A Heavy Alternative Rock base, mixed with a sprinkle of Grunge and Metal will serve you well 😋
Let us know what you think!
