I play guitar, my friend plays bass and does a bit of vocals. Also if any lead/rhythm guitarists or vocalist see this and are interested reach out
dm me if you’d like more info
I am looking into buying a electric drumset, hopefully to eventually be able to play "real metal songs". What "parts" do i need and do you have any tips for which one to buy?
Thank you.
For some context i have been playing an axis shortboard for a while which was used and im now looking for a longboard in Europe?
Any help will be really appreciated
Hi Just wondering if anyone had any sheet music for We Built This Come Death by Mastodon and Within the Mind by Death.
I couldn't find anything for the Mastodon one but I found Within the Mind on Songsterr but I'm not a fan of that.
Thanks
Too often I'm accused of being "lewronggeneration" when it comes to my drumming tastes.
So to combat this, give me songs no earlier than 2022 that have awesome drumming. Thanks!
Having issues with intermittent trigger hits on my bass drum please help with Settings
Hello sub,
I'm looking forward to buying a Czarcie Kopyto standard pedal but as they are not available to try in person, I think getting second hand experience might help. So, would you recommend me Czarcie Kopyto double pedal if:
I like heavier feeling pedal
I have always used and infact loved chain drive pedals.
I have a US11 size foot.
I use heel-toe technique
I play alternate metal, nu metal, post-grunge, prog-rock, rap-rock, hard-rock and a bit of heavy metal.
*EDIT: My most important question : Will it be an overkill for me, if 60% of my playing is just Linkin Park and Led Zeppelin covers?
All suggestions are welcome. :)
My bands drummer sucks and he doesn’t learn the songs because he doesn’t have a drumset at his house. We need somebody who can play pretty fast stuff and he’s just not gonna get good in the time that we want to start playing live. We’re around Rochester NY but if you wanna travel here that would be cool too. Also we’re all 15-17 but as long as you’re not like older than 27 we don’t care how old you are. If you’re interested leave a comment and I’ll send you one of our demos.
Edit* our biggest inspiration is Tallah
I thought of this a few years ago. The idea is just to play through a song as fast as you can, so for example if there's a blast part that's at 210 BPM, but you can blast at 250, play that part at 250. A slow breakdown part? Don't care, play that part as fast as you can. It's a stupid idea, but it'd be funny.
I've only been able to find a couple videos on this, all of them by the same person. Is there a reason why this technique is not as popular as heel-toe doubles? I would think it would sound more even/better since the softer notes will be on the 3rd and 4th hits instead of the 2nd and 4rd hits, giving it a more "galloping" feel. Or maybe the proper name is something else and that's the reason why I can't find much on it?
I don't actually play drums btw; I just like tapping my feet.
I just bought an old 14” snare and I wanna set it up to have a really pingy tone similar to Putrid Stu, Toughguy, and Brainspit. I know basically I need the snare wires off and I gotta crank the batter and side heads really tight but do you guys have any batter head recommendations?
I’m looking for a new set of snare heads(reso and beater) I’m looking for not super resonate but not super dead, preferably Evan’s!!
I'm gonna go with Chad Walls from Brodequin, for the hyperblasts he does his weird t-rex looking thing with his snare arm. It looks actually painful, I couldn't even make my arm do that to the extent that I saw him doing it. He's a fantastic drummer though
Death metal double bass madness
Hi, I have my doubts about what cymbal set i should choose.
I'd like cymbals from meinll beacuse the price range is ok. I don't know either to choose the "CLASSICS CUSTOM HEAVY DARK " , the " Meinl Classics Extreme Thomann Set " or the " Meinl Classics Cu. Dual Anniversary". I am playing in a trash - death metal band. Can someone help me to choose what set to choose?
thx
Though I had been practicing for about 20 to 30 minutes before I recorded it
