A Subreddit for sharing old and new Skatepunk music and other general discussion!
Skatepunk of all types welcome here! I was surprised there wasn't already a Subreddit for Skatepunk, so here it is!
Skatepunk is often characterized by extremely fast drum patterns, syncopated guitar and bass rhythms, and vocal harmonies. Some notable modern examples include: NOFX, Lagwagon, Pennywise, and Propagandhi.
I'm bad at modding, so if you want to help out, send me a PM.

https://youtu.be/VaqA_9419AU?si=4SzhFtbdm9a2miW- I’ve heard about these guys since I was 13 but never gave them a try till like 5 years ago. Better late than never!
Oopsy Dazey out of Portland Oregon just dropped a new song Spell It Out. Might not be strictly in the skate punk genre but we all skate. One guitarist is Anakin Senn (rider for blood wizard and son of the legendary Chris Senn) and my other band Ash Eater had a music feature spot in Thrasher a while back so I think we qualify. Anyway go check it out and let us know what you think!

Hi, I play guitar and bass and I would really like to make skatepunk as a hobby and as a way to get off my everyday routine. If someone would like to do something please dm me. I'm a teenager so this isn't serious at all but it can be fun.
want some suggestions for songs, my playlist is mostly the skate and tony hawk games with some more mainstream punk and hip hop stuff, I want to start a fresh playlist but looking for songs that I might not of heard before.
Heey there!
We’ve just released 3 tracks for an EP trying to capture the pure essence of skate and punk rock. This EP is a tribute to our passion, featuring an epic cover from a professional skater shredding the ramp.
Give it a listen and let us know what you think! 🤘
Like some Gen-Z people who put up new skate-punk bands, or anyone you would like to suggest, thank youu <3
Can anyone recommend album's like "Cigar - Speed is Relative" and "Yellowcard - Where we Stand"??
WWS and SIR are my two favourite albums that I have discovered this year. I don't know any albums or bands that sound like those albums. Could anyone recommend me some stuff please? I would appreciate that :)
So back in the 80s my old man had a Dirty Rotten Imbeciles skateboard deck. He lived a massive life of addiction and trauma for about 34 years but has since reformed, and is no longer a slave too his vices and is still a hard-core punk mother*ucker. Anyways, I was on the phone with him the other day and he was talking to me about his old skateboard deck. He talked about how he was really beating himself up for selling it for drugs way back when. I feel bad for him, so I wanna try to find it and gift it too him before he passes. He's not got long left, he suffers with Emphysema and Hepatitis C and they're progressing to be worse. Before he goes I just wanna give him the deck that he used to have. Obviously I'm not looking for the exact same one that he skated on, but he bought it in Melbourne around 1987-1990, unsure of what shop. He says that it had some sort of "hippie man" on the deck. I don't know if it's even worth posting this because everywhere I've looked I've not been able to find what he's described. I'm hoping the real in deep skate punk fans will know what I'm talking about. If any of you have this particular deck I'll happily pay you to take it off your hands if you feel like selling it.
