A Subreddit for sharing old and new Skatepunk music and other general discussion!
Skatepunk of all types welcome here! I was surprised there wasn't already a Subreddit for Skatepunk, so here it is!
Skatepunk is often characterized by extremely fast drum patterns, syncopated guitar and bass rhythms, and vocal harmonies. Some notable modern examples include: NOFX, Lagwagon, Pennywise, and Propagandhi.
I'm bad at modding, so if you want to help out, send me a PM.

I know i should be posting this in a metal sub reddit, but they keep removing my posts and i didnt get that many answers in the only sub that let me post.
But anyways, At first i thought the difference was pretty obvious, but when songs like this get labeled as skate punk it gets really confusing, plus a lot of bands have been using the palm muted tremolo riffs which makes it even more confusing.

Looking for book recommendations, biographies, record labels whatever, anything to do with skatepunk. I've already read the NOFX book and Sell Out.
I have been looking into bands around the world for their take on punk rock, metal and hardcore. In this video I'm looking into the Korean punk scene. These bands play skate punk and Pogo punk. If there are other band not on this list let me know!!

I wanna give a shoutout to this podcast. It’s basically interviews with members of the punk community and it covers a bunch of 90s skatepunk.
